The co-owner Jackie was rude, insulting and opinionated. She over charged me on water and I had to make a return trip. I had also purchased some frozen food which surprisingly turned out to be from China...a small country store USUALLY has some American pride.The food made me sick and I informed Jackie of this and let her know there are recalls on food from China. I was polite and wanted to spare others from purchasing the item .She insulted me and offered no apology for the overcharge. They carry low quality food and everything is way overpriced. If you are in the area save yourself money and hateful attitude and drive 20 miles west to Pie Town or Top of the World market for supplies. Or 35 miles east to Magdalena and go to the dollar store.I will never stop in there again and will inform all travelers to avoid this store.

On our travel from Alabama to Arizona we stopped at this little place in a tiny little town in what seemed to be out in the middle of nowhere in NM. We stopped here twice, on the way to Arizona and on the way back home to Alabama. On the way to, we stopped for some snakes and restrooms. It was a Sunday and the restaurant was closed. On our way back home we stopped and the restaurant was open so we ate lunch. The hamburger was delicious and my husband's Philly cheese sandwich was loaded, he said it also was delicious. So if you're traveling through make sure you stop for some good food. Also the atmosphere was very rustic and lodge feeling

I called ahead re: their RV campground but was told I didn't need a reservation. Upon arrival, the office was closed, and we couldn't figure out their park, so we went to a Forest Service campground nearby.We had dinner in their cafe, and the food was quite good. However, we doubt the $10 margueritas had any tequila in them.

I love this place. Great rooms at a great price. An old school store with tons of charm and a great restaurant. I love the green chile cheeseburger, steak sandwich and the ribeye wrapped in bacon!!!! Great pie too.Nearby activities: Datil mountains and VLA

I visited the Eagle Guest Ranch for lunch while helping a friend on his ranch. I ordered the Mexican Burger Christmas style (red and green chili sauce over the burger). It was one of the best burgers I have ever had and this comes from a guy who has worked as a Chef for more than 20 years. The service was great and I will be back again. 5 stars all the way.

Very friendly staff and Great service.Restaurant with Great food and has a bar. Country store and real gas‼ Very peaceful and quiet. Room was clean and bathroom was nice, with a little country charm. I will warn you, there was no refrigerator or microwave, but I didn't need that ,with everything I wanted was on site.I would recommend this stop if you are in the area, awesome views, and great riding through area ‼😎🇺🇸🇺🇸

The Bacon wrapped Steak is awesome!!!! When I am remotely close to this place I have to stop. And when I say remotely close I mean within a few hours..... You will not be disappointed in the bacon wrapped steak! I can't forget to speak about the people and the service. Very warm environment and the service is as awesome as the food.

Met with family to celebrate my brothers birthday and as always we got excellent service from the owners Mr & Mrs Atwood and staff. The special T-bone was perfectly seasoned n flavored the way I like it, my brother n wife both ordered green chile cheeseburgers n were amazed how juicy n delicious they were. Mom enjoyed her Salisbury steak n we all enjoyed pies for desert. Can't wait for our next trip out, we always get treated like family even though we only go every few mi the its nice they recognize us. A definite stop for all to experience!

The place is not inviting from the outside but is nice inside. The food was good. Bathrooms clean. Service good. We had a hamburger and a ham and cheese sandwich. Look at the photo- the slice of ham was thick, over 1/4 inch. Recommendation- place an ENTRANCE sign on top of the door to the restaurant.

Great food, home town country rustic old west atmosphere. Staff is friendly and personable. We'll be back for steaks and more homemade pie. Don't pass on desert. Their pie is really good.

Love this place, warm and relaxing. People are tremendously friendly. We all had steak and they're hard to beat, I think they cut their own or something like that. We stop whenever we can. Seems family run and we love to support families working so hard. Can't believe their hours very accommodating for the location.

The atmosphere is fantastic, the people are very friendly. A great historic experience with the tasty food to match the look.This place has one of those "good Ol' American dreams stories" to it!! You can find the story about this restaurant in the back of the menu about owners and its acquisition since the 1920's then again in the 1950's, A contract written on a brown paper bag!Wow!I ordered the double cheese 🧀 burger 🍔 and fries!!! Next time I'm trying the steak!!

I've had lunch and dinner at the restaurant. The food was great and the service is awesome! Eagle Guest Ranch is conveniently located right off Highway 60. The convenience store is small, but well stocked.Food & drinks: The food is great and the beef is locally sourced.

SO impressed with this place! Not a single restaurant within hours that is this nice with as good of food! The interior is beautiful and fun, the staff is fantastic, and the food speaks for itself. Will be back!

Restaurant: Good food!!! Cold Beer!!! Very Friendly Service!!!Hotel: I'll give 3 stars ONLY for the fact that there is no room service. I like to have a clean room, beds made, fresh towels and stocked up on toilet paper when I'm staying longer than just one night.The rooms are small but they're nice!!! There is no A/C, fridge or internet, which for $70+ you should get wifi, just saying.

Best Chicken fried Steak you'll ever lay your lips on! The owners are awesome and wait staff is friendly. Besides that they have the best meat in the SW at their butcher station in the store.
