Was an absolutely ridiculous experience. I waited 15 minutes before I could find anybody to help me at the front desk when some girl finally came giggling out from behind a closed door after I started yelling for somebody, call the numbers for the hotel. Nobody answers call emergency number nobody answers.this was at 11:30 PM on 11/17/24Fast-forward to my my room. It was somewhat clean I didn’t expect Fast given the location and the price but it was decent enough for a quick one night stay. The problem lies with the fact that the bathroom door lock was broken and when you close the door, it locks and you can’t unlock it or open it this is a huge liability and I will be contacting a lawyer about it as if I had gotten locked in the bathroom without a cell phone and no one else in the room with me who knows how long I would’ve sat there I would’ve literally had to break the door down I had small children traveling with me so thank God none of them got locked in there. I just happened to close the door and it locked and I could not get into the bathroom to use the bathroom in the morning when I got up and it took over an hour to find someone to help me once again, calling all the numbers and I finally left a message and they don’t call me back. They just show up because no one’s actually on site at the property at all times. She said she’s gonna have to get a maintenance man from another property to come fix my door to get into the bathroom so needless to say, another bathroom was not offered to us and we had to, get creative on how we relieved ourselves of our bodily functions. It was humiliating. There is an obvious issue with the door lock as you could see from the outside people having to break in to the bathroom previously as the door knob is damaged.I would never recommend this place tiny one due to the lack of care, and Pride taken in the facility and so help me I would be suing myself, or one of my children had been locked in the bathroomThe maintenance man literally had to break the door frame and then take the door knob apart and take the locking mechanism out of the door knob

Rooms are fine. At least they're clean. Apparently Wyndham has a different definition from everyone else on what free breakfast is. Do not expect anything to eat here. No, not even a bagel. They've got a juice bar, very small coffee makers in the rooms, and nothing else.Rooms: Clean, but nothing particularly nice.Food & drinks: No food, only juice!

Wasn't happy with my stay here. I went to the lobby between 6:30 and 7:00 am and it was empty. No breakfast at all. None. At least the juice machine was working. Shower water was tepid at best--in January! Next time, I'll pay $20 more for Comfort Inn across the street. Not having to go to Subway for breakfast will shave $10 off the difference.

This is official in my book labeled as the cat 🐈 hotel. My Allergies were the worst nasal congestion.First thing in the morning after sleeping in the room. The goal. For the morning was to go outside and breathe fresh air.

The location is great, right on the street. If you are looking for convenience, it's perfect. The rooms are just barely adequate. Only half of the lights work, a guest had either swiped the ice scoop or they had left it in the machine. There wasn't a backup.I requested a smoke free room, but when I checked in, it was overwhelming. I believe that the couple who take care of the place and man the desk may smoke, that is the only way they didn't smell it. The desk clerk switched me immediately. There is plenty of parking right up close, but the side door was rigged to stay open after exit. As a woman traveling alone, it didn't inspire a general feeling of confidence, but I travel with a great guard dog, so that made me feel better. The room was fairly clean, a few hairs here and there, but nothing awful. No bed bugs, I checked first thing. But, Always check. That could change with each guest. Many of the guests are workers in the area. They treat the place like home which isn't always a bad thing. It's adequate, but if you are traveling with a dog, in a town this small, there are limited choices. You probably won't feel cheated for the price point.

Outstanding Staff! After being on the road for over 18 Hours straight. The Attendants were available immediately and very accommodating. My family appreciate the hospitality of the Employees and Management here at the Wyndham Clayton. The rooms are secure, the parking lot is safe, and there is a nice picnic area behind the building with a view of some horses. This place is Great I recommend it. Great food next door too.

After driving 6 hours me and my husband were so ready for our heads to touch a pillow. When I booked the hotel online I tried calling about late check in as it would be between 1 and 2am when we arrived, no one ever answered. I called all day but nothing. I called the booking agency and super 8 general customer service line and neither could get ahold of someone here either. We just risked it and kept driving. Upon pulling in at 1:30am there were no issues checking in. Now this place isn’t fancy at all. It’s a little on the sketchy side but I think it’s just the location and not the hotel itself. I mean cheaper places will attract cheaper people. It took a few tries to find us a room but the lady was so nice in helping us get a first floor room. We didn’t have super high expectations of the room we were getting but to our surprise it was very clean and everything looked pretty decent. Now they didn’t serve the breakfast we were hoping for, Instead it’s a little lunch bag with some goodies. But it in my opinion shows they tried. I don’t doubt that some people would have worse experiences here but I can’t say that ours was bad at all. I would definitely stay here again. And thank you guys for accommodating our needs to the best of your ability!

Nice hotel, super friendly staff! Me and my wife dealt with this younger girl with glasses who couldn't have been more nice and helpful for our journey from Texas to Oregon. I rode my motorcycle the whole way, while following my wife in her car, and about an hour from the hotel we hit a really big storm, I got hailed on and soaked from all the rain, and this lovely young gal offered to dry my clothes for me free of charge. I gladly accepted and couldn't have been happier with the service, and the quietness of the room!

I have stayed here several times when passing through Clayton. The rooms have always been very clean, comfortable beds with crisp, clean sheets. If you are looking for a quiet place for the night this is it. Will stay here again. To staff: the ammonia/beach smell was over whelming in our room. But thanks for a clean, disinfectant rooms

If you're looking for just a clean place to lay your head for the night, this is the place. That being said, the hotel is not the best looking. There is no elevator and you have to use the stairs (rooms on second floor). Breakfast is not served, instead they give you a bag with some doughnuts, a granola bar, and an oatmeal pack with a cup and spoon of course. There didn't seem to be anywhere nearby to grab breakfast and coffee but the fairly new, large convenience store up the block offered fresh made muffins and coffee. The linen though fresh is faded and outdated from wear and tear. The hotel room is clean though, lit up parking lot, microwave and fridge in your room. Again good for a sleep which is why I gave it a three star, i've seen worse but not my first choice.

Rooms were disgusting. I had several dirty towels I had to go down stairs several times to have them changed my pillows were stained. Our tub was dirty when we got back home I noticed my daughter had bed bug bites! The hotel smelt horrible like cigarettes. When I called and ask for a refund I was told No which I think it’s very unfair for the service we received $117! During the middle of the night while trying to sleep we had front desk lady go knocking on our door to also let us know she put us in the wrong room! Horrible experience do not recommend to anyone!

Pros: Comfortable mattress and blinds close.Cons: WOW this place is a dump. Hair painted into the door. Used washrag in the shower which won't stop dripping. Hot water barely lukewarm. Sink drain won't open. Sticky floor. People leave the doors propped open and blast their TV, hacking coughs, and dog yips out into the hall for all to be disturbed. Can hear every footstep upstairs and every gurgle of water from a neighboring toilet flush. Front desk isn't staffed until 2pm so housekeeping has no way of knowing who has left and has no choice but to knock on DO NOT DISTURB doors over and over again. Exterior door doesn't close or lock and has a slide lock on the OUTSIDE of the building. Is that a fire code violation? Never again.

Beds were decent, towels were soft and fresh, and the provided toiletries were standard. However the bathroom wreaked of cigarette smoke when you showered, the ac/heat unit made an ungodly constant screeching noise, the upstairs tenants were stomping around late at night, and there is no breakfast despite signage that says they do serve a continental breakfast. And good luck finding anywhere to eat breakfast within an hour drive.

There was an odor in the hallway. Our room was supposed to be noon smoking, but it smelled of smoke. There was a cigarette burn on the bedspread. The pillow cases had small cuts in them. Housekeeping never cleaned up the food from the previous guest, the food was sitting on a plate and stinking up the room. The continental breakfast was a joke. When I checked in they gave me a small bag, saying it was my breakfast. All it had was a small granola bar, a few Hostess donettes and a packet of oatmeal.

Room seemed somewhat updated and were clean. There’s no breakfast in the morning, they just give you a brown paper bag at check in with a couple of snacks. No other amenities that your typical hotel offers.BEWARE, there is nobody at the desk/on duty at certain times, so make sure you have what you need when you check in. We only had towels for 3 people when we had 4 guests in a double Queen and nobody was there in the morning to help. Beds sit very high and it was difficult for my grandmother to get on and off the bed. Close to a Mexican restaurant, subway, and gas station. Doors on the outside of hotel that access rooms are NOT locked. That didn’t feel safe. Had to wait for hot water. Lady at the desk was nice and helpful.

Clean, pet friendly, next to Mexican restaurant. Comfy bed, fridge. Microwave. Parked right in front in Veterans parking. Friendly staff. Brown breakfast bag had Oatmeal, Bar and small powdered donuts. 24x7 juice machine in lobby with free apple juice, orange juice, and Cranberry juice - nice touch. Small counter around sink but not a big deal. No padded comfy chair for those whose back hurts on wooden chairs. Not crowded. Good price with low taxes only $80. We recommend.

The hotel room was almost 200 dollars which is a little pricey for what you get. There are signs that there is breakfast, however, there isn't any. After we got to our room, they told us that our card was denied for insufficient funds which is not the case. While we checked and saw that we were charged, they came back to our room and said nevermind it worked. The bed was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here, but it's not that bad.

Stay away from this place . I used it for one night. In this sanitary crises I found trash of the previous tenant. This mean they Chang bed sheets???. Hair dog on the floor. My socks turn black just by keeping them on.No breakfast even they advertise they offer breakfast. Not clean, unfriendly, amenities no hot water all the time. Smoke detector not there......

This is a no frills, stop over hotel in Clayton. It is not a Hyatt so control your expectation. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! This place was quiet, super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.Looks like the rooms have been upgraded a bit so not shabby at all. Bed was super comfortable.

The lady in charge of the nightshift saved my room and made sure I got checked in even though I didn't get in until 1:15 am. I was late due to a flat tire and no spare in my rental car. She checked with me a few times to.make sure I had everything I needed. The man in charge the next day introduced me to a gentleman who brought a jack and tools to help me take off the tire. He also took me to a tire shop so I could get the tire replaced. My room was nice , the room and bedding smelled fresh, and all of the people I met in Clayton were very friendly and helpful.
