This morning on our travel we wanted Mexican Mocha and called around to see if any coffee shops could make it (and every one from Amarillo to Clayton said they didn't have any Cayenne Pepper 🌶️ on hand). Except Mock's ☕So surprised and delighted by this pleasant little place ✨🌄 The lady who seems to run this establishment, was very hospitable and friendly. She was working hard on orders when we arrived and took care of us quickly.The drinks were great. The coffee was really tasty. There were many flavors to choose from.We haven't been delighted by a local coffee shop on the road in a long time. This one was wonderful and we will be back when we stop through.

Mock's IS a hidden gem, as previous reviewers have noted. Their excellent coffee, combined expertly in a hot Breve Latte, was one of the tastiest I've ever had. Perfect creme on top, too.I sampled a blueberry muffin which was soft and delicate with excellent taste and blueberry count. Next visit to Clayton and I'll go for a burro or breakfast sandwich. I know I'll be satisfied.....

Stopped on the way to Colorado. The veggie burritos are excellent, good price for what you get. Also got an almond milk latte and it was wonderful. Service was kind and quick. Couldn't see the inside but had no problems with the drive through. Would love to stop by again.Features: Dining inside is closed. But drive through is available.

Yes! Wonderful to find a place like this in what is otherwise the middle of nowhere (at least to me). Had a delicious mocha and a wonderful breakfast burrito here. Was chatting with my table mates and the staff let us stay until long after they had closed. They toast their coffee right next door.I'm guessing the patio is nice when it's not 99 degrees outside. Certainly recommend stopping here and also taking a quick stroll through the small downtown. Highlights included the historic theater and the hotel

What a superbly friendly and quaint little coffee shop in a friendly and quaint little town! I was stopping for some coffee and breakfast on my way into New Mexico. It was early, I was grimy and in need of caffeine from my previous night's camping. Mock's was perfect! Friendly staff and a mix of familiar clientele and out-of-towners like me. The guy in front of me in line was obviously well known to the proprietors as well as many of the customers - in the process of chatting, he picked up the tab of two of his acquaintances in line ahead of him! I want to include Clayton on my itinerary of future travels just so I have an excuse to stop back in here and eat again. My bagel was perfectly toasted (nearly burned - per my explicit order) and the coffee was delicious (roasted in house just the day before, according to the cook). Recommended most highly!

Mock's is a great little coffee shop right in the heart of Clayton. The americano and the egg and cheese burrito were delicious. The folks were friendly and the shop was very comfortable. I will definitely stop here again on my next trip through NW NM.

We had biscuits and gravy, Carmel latte and a white mocha. The biscuits and gravy was delicious- it had sausage too. The Carmel frappe was also good but the white mocha wasn’t my favorite. It’s a cute place and the people are friendly. We went through the drive through.

My son and I stopped by on our way back from Philmont yesterday. The lady that opened the window was very nice and friendly and she told us what they offered. I ordered a bagel and a donut which were very good and warm. The coffee was great after a long two weeks of burnt camp coffee at Philmont. If you are passing through Clatyton I would recommned you give them a try. Chris

We decided to stop by while traveling from Colorado returning home to Texas, I love small coffee shops. But this was just so uncomfortable. The frappes and iced coffee were amazing. But we didn’t weren’t acknowledged when entering, not asked anything or even spoken to, other than the older female asking if something was wrong because my girls were arguing which one had more caramel on it. Customer service lacked tremendously, but the beverages are amazing. No “thank you have a nice day” NOTHING. Thankfully we’re just passing through.

Was passing through and needed wifi, which worked great. Owner had my favorite vegan cookies and helped to modify my order to make it a little more vegan vegan. The smoothies were tasty as well. It was a little warm inside but manageable with my smoothie.

The best and only REAL coffee shop in hundreds of miles. They roast their coffee fresh every Monday. I got an oat cortado and it was totally on point! They have bagels and breakfast burritos. Good wifi if you need to get a little work done.

What a great coffee shop in Clayton. A remodeled feed store with a drive up window...Wonderful...plus breakfast burritos etc too
