Three jumbos and one medium fed 9 hungry Philmont hikers. Perfect pizza shop for crews from Philmont. 624LL 2021 ate here after our trek. Pizza was very popular from our guys. Some said it was the best they ever had. A gluten free crust was appreciated by one of our crew. Thanks For Dinner!

The pizza is great. The dining area is outdoors. This "restaurant" is clearly someone's house when they covered a corner for making pizza and setup tables in the front yard. But don't let that be a turn off. The pizza is great.

Don't let the look of the place deceive you. The pizza is good. I would say the pizza is a 4 stars, no frill pizza. They don't serve signature pizzas or specializations, such as grilled crust or stuffed crust, but it was good. However, you only have outdoor sitting and the staff did not seem engaged with the customer. I would also say it was a bit pricey for the quality. My guess is that is the result of the expense to get goods to the area.

Upon arriving, we discovered that it's cash only; no credit or debit. (An ATM is within walking distance.) Upon ordering, we are told there are no wings or salads. We ordered a chicken ranch pizza which was good, but each slice only had one small piece of chicken, though plenty of onions and peppers. We also ordered the jalapeno bread sticks and those were good. No dipping sauce though -- it costs extra.

Bring Cash. I enjoy the CHOP House a lot. It isn't award winning pizza. It isn't pizza to visit Cimarron for. But it is great at what it does. Produces good quality pizza that I have had more than my fair share of. Reminds me of the pizza joint I grew up with.

Maybe I'm biased because I just came off the trail, but the pizza and outdoor seating were great. Had the supreme calzone with marinara sauce. Bring your nalgenes, there's a spigot, or warm sodas and cups of ice are available. Picnic table seating easily accommodated a group of 12.

We fed our Girl Scouts pizza and wings here after getting off the backpacking trail.First of all, the pizza was OK at best. The toppings were bland, as was the crust. I did like the wings. It took a while to get our pizzas (we ordered four). I wondered if they have a single-pie oven?Drinks are in cans only. If you need to go to the bathroom, you are directed to the city park a half block away. It's outside seating only under large tents.As a warning, it's cash only. I am always amazed there are still places that don't take cards.If your Scouts are getting off the trail at nearby Philmont and are dying for pizza, this might work for you. I will very likely think hard the next time about driving on to Raton for our pizza.

The pizza here is pretty awesome. Unfortunately the heat outside is a bit much and the tents outside over the picnic tables don’t provide much protection. It’s easily located right off the highway.

Ordered pizza at window on 8/10/20 12:30 pm got a menu where it clearly stated thours 10am-8pm was going to pay and was told she doesn’t accept cards so ran to get cash when I got back I was told it would be a few more minutes so I payed and waited in car till she waved it was ready, got home to find a burnt pizza (I’m including a photo) so I immediately called no answer. Funny I only live across the street, took pizza back to find the open sign off and no one answered the window. Still waiting for my call back. I fnd it hard to believe someone would hand out a pizza this burnt and would anticipate no repercussion!!!!!!

Rude owners/workers. Got our order wrong then blamed us. Food was okay, but not great. We went here after hiking in Philmont. It is the only pizza place in town, so it is better than nothing...

Do not leave Cimarron without going to the "CHOP". I worked at Philmont in 2018 and the CHOP was the go to place after work runs. Great prices and great pizza. Bring the crew.

The staff first class great place I wish it was in my town .I brought my dog and they were so kind .The food and beer AWSOME had the tacos tasty and the tots with gravy and churds add brisket KILLER.

Nice strange little pizza spot in some person's back yard. For Cimarron, NM, it's definitely the best you can get.
