Ate dinner there on a Wednesday around 530. Restaurant was not super crowded but a number of tables were not cleaned so we had to wait for a table. Had their special pizza with local sausage and mushrooms which was very good. Also had their Verde with arugula which was tasty but the crust was a bit soggy. Beers were good. A solid choice for pizza.

Staff was gracious about our arriving 15 minutes before closing time, for they were the only restaurant in town still open when we arrived. Even though they were mostly sold out of food for the night, of what they still had we enjoyed their smoked ½ chicken and the patatas. Portions were generous, my elderly father and I split one order and were satisfied. I really enjoyed their iced tea as well. I like that they grow their own garnish/herbs in house, that is not something you see in most restaurants. Thank you for a good meal.

One of two restaurants in Chama that I consider really good (the other is Outlaw BBQ). On our most recent visit, we had 3 pizzas: buffalo chicken (a special not on the regular menu), Yard Bird, and pepperoni. All were really good; the buffalo chicken was my favorite.I advise ordering, up front, everything you plan to drink. Having finished a great milk stout beer, and there being no sign of our food, I went back to get another and was firmly told to go to the end of the (food ordering) line. Before I got to order again, most of the beers, including the milk stout, had run dry. It was a half hour before I made it back to our table, but I did beat the pizzas.

While they don't currently have a gluten free pizza (they said they are close to having one), the green salad was excellent and large and the soup of the day was GF and DELICIOUS! The staff was very nice and moved food out of the kitchen quickly. My husband said the green chili calzone tasted great! Excellent place!Vegetarian options: SaladParking: Medium lot

What a treat in the heart of Chama, NM (in the middle of no where). The wood fired pizza was great! The crust is made with dough from yeast that is apparently 34 years old. The brussel sprouts were a great compliment to the meat heavy pizza. This place seems pretty new and it stands out in the small town of Chama. They did a great job with the layout and decor. The outside fire pit was neat.

Beautifully clean and tastefully designed local restaurant that serves some of the best food I’ve tasted. Making great pizzas with local and fresh ingredients in a fire brick oven. I got the local beef and the meat was not frozen. Freshly butchered and served elegantly. It was awesome. I asked for a fresh jalapeño but they provided a volcano sauce ( I believe it was habanero and serrano or ancho Chile) which was awesome. They had a nice selection and draft beer that I didn’t taste but people around me liked. Visit them you will enjoy tremendously.

I found this honey of a hole spot in Chama and I have to say I was delighted!!!! Completely blew me away that this place existed and it was at the start of the slow season in Chama. I did a pepperonis project here and ate here every night. Pizza 3 out of 4 nights. The Carne….add peppercinis(if u like them) , 2 sides of ranch (maybe the best ranch I have ever consumed!!!!!) and a side of parmesan!!!! The other meal was the steak special!!!! Absolutely amazing!!! The wine selection was extremely impressive and the staff was knowledgeable about the wines, beer selection solid too! Service 5 stars, staff personality 5 stars, food 5 stars, ambiance 5 stars! Great job by local….putting Chama on the map!!!! If you are passing through Chama this is a must stop!!! I put it in top 10 pizzas i have had and Ive had my share of pizza!!!! I’d like to see some green chile topping options on the menu….thats my one critique.

Amazing food and atmosphere + friendly staff and patrons = great experience. We stopped by during Chama Days. There was live music and a welcoming, local crowd. I can see why people love this little town! Can't wait to go back to Local.

I can't believe how this place has gone down as far as the food. We had salads and a pizza. Yuck, yuck..... you all should think and not have such loud music can't even carry a conversation. Is it under new ownership or the cooks are different? When it first opened you all had specials which we enjoyed. Bring back the good specials and work on your pizza and salads. (Fresh ripe tomatoes, nice fresh greens, not expired iceburg lettuce). Mozzarella on pizzas not colby cheese, nice soft music, and more specials). Ice cream is yucky according to 2 elderly men that had it. Ice crystals not creamy. Think about it Chama needs good places to eat .

There was absolutely no customer service from the moment you walk in. No signs saying seat yourself or even wait to be seated. The lady taking our order was rude, she did not offer to explain ordering, how drink sizes worked, and was quick to rush us away. We ordered four drinks and three pizzas. Drinks were served on time and tasted fine. Food took longer than was necessary, the place had plenty of people but was not crowded by any means. Pizzas were good, crust was burnt on the bottom on one, the cheese was soggy on another and the toppings fell off easily. The service was not worth the mandatory 15% "Service Charge." 8 inch pizzas for 15-17 dollars without tax. While it's a well decorated place, adequate in its food, they need to hire Servers who take Customer Service seriously, whether busy or not. Which they were not.

I live in Chama and have “tried” to eat here twice now. First time they were out of my first two choices so I left. Last night when I took my visiting family by, they told us that they were just too busy to take our order. We were instructed that we would have to wait 20-30 minutes before we could even place our order! Judging from the other tables that were seated and waiting on food, empty drinks and the frustrated looks on their faces, we chose to leave. I will not try again and will advise others to pass as well. Good place to build a functional restaurant some day.

We visit Chama once per year and love Local. Awesome pizza and love to sit outside. What a lovely outdoor area. They were super busy as I think they were the only restaurant open in Chama tonight and I think they did a great job. Super nice people work here. Highly recommend and we certainly will return. Sat with some awesome people at one of the outdoor tables and had a lovely evening.

Party of 6 arrived and the only table for 6 was dirty. After 15 min, we took the dirty dishes to the front counter. 4 guests recieved food in 20 min but no condiments or silverware or drinks. I went to get the silverware and was told we are short-handed. I was able to reach over the counter to get forks. About 20 min later, I went back to the counter to get the condiments and then about 10 more minutes to get our drinks. I was able to get 3 of the 6 drinks. Another hour passed before the 2 pizzas came out. In the meantime, they put a sign up that they had run out of pizza and also some sides. Other patrons were looking for rags to clean their tables. Because everyone was done eating when the pizzas finally came to the table (2 hours after we arrived), we took them home and they actually tasted good. Because their orders are at the counter, they add the tip when ordering and paying before the food arrives so no incentive to give you anything you've ordered. It was $122 for cold dry burgers, no service, no drinks and only part of the food.

So disappointed in this place! Got there at 4:05 right after they had opened on Sunday. Ordered 1 Jigger pizza and 2 beers. We waited 75 min and never received our pizza while watching multiple other tables who ordered after us receive their pizza. I had already talked to the staff once during the 75 min wait and was told "ok, we'll check on it" and no pizza. I then waited 15 min in line to request a refund for the pizza. And then had to go somewhere else for dinner.

Great pizza... The crust was some of the tastiest I have had. Don't forget to try the strawberry shortbread - yum!

Delicious wood-fired pizza, friendly staff. We were happy to discover that they have a dog-friendly patio! This restaurant was such a nice alternative to the burger and fries places usually found in small towns. Definitely a good place to stop in Chama!

The employees were pleasant, the pizza was good, the beer was interesting, the outside eating area was pleasant...They put a service charge of 15% on the bill automatically. The pizza, although wood fired and very tasty, was a bit expensive for the size, which was rather small . I would have enjoyed a bit more bacon for the extra $2.We had a pizza and 2 (approx 10-12oz) beers... $32.46.

This place has the best pizza I think I've ever had. The atmosphere and employees made it even better. Serve a few different wines but I didn't partake. My wife and friend seemed to enjoy it however. Offers indoor and outdoor seating, has a nice firepit outside you can sit around as well. Tried 3 different desserts and all were very good. The smoked ice cream was a little different, like eating brisket but ice cream. Only here for 1 day but we're getting some of this to go for the road before we leave out tomorrow.

Great customer service from the bar, we ordered 3 pizzas to go and it took way too long. When I got them they were the size of my open hand. It was supposed to be the size of a plate they had on the bar. And said it would be 8 slices. The smallest pizza I have ever seen. And it came out to 19.50 a pizza that includes sales tax and 15% gratuity crazy. We will never go back.

Nice casual place, self serve but at premium+ prices. Sign claims "no tipping" but they automatically add 15% gratuity to the bill so it's really compulsory tipping. Their claim is this ""allows them to pay a living wage". That's fine, if you are truly paying a living wage. If you are just pooling the compulsory tip you’re misrepresenting your actions and shorting your staff during slow times and off-season. If it’s the former, just reflect it in your pricing rather than hide it in a compulsory tip.Staff is mostly nice except the guy making the pizza who was dismissive and rude when I asked after 45 minutes how much longer for our pizza. There is no table service just food delivery and table busing, so no server to ask.Food was pretty good, greens seemed pretty fresh but had some wilt, antipasto had good variety with assorted nuts, really good dried fruits and a couple of cheeses but the meats were bland and tasteless. Pizza very good. Food coming out of the kitchen was very slow and came out piecemeal over the course of an hour or so leaving us to watch each other eat alone.Overall an ok experience for casual dining but prices are very high for the quality of food and level of service offered especially given the slow and disorganized kitchen.

I may have liked it a whole lot more if the hours posted on their website were accurate! They were closed for dinner as we're all the other restaurants in Chama. Stay away from this town if you want to eat after four. But that's not exactly true - Subway, bless their heart, was open and filled our bellies with toasted goodness.
