I cannot say enough great things about this vet. We were traveling cross country when our Sheltie got an ear infection. I called her on a Friday while passing through her town. She was totally booked but told me to swing by. She squeezed us into her full schedule and we were able to continue our travels. That is what a true dedicated vet would do. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to her.

Dr Washburn saved our dogs life but not by some showstopping surgery, no. She did it by being compassionate and Competent. That capitalized word is profoundly difficult to find ANY other vet in the area would have just killed our dog by performing the spay, she Didn't because it was not the right call. Becky is Outstanding. Best animal care in New Mexico, no question asked. It's obvious! Thank you Dr. Washburn!

It just so happened the timing was perfect , I was able to get our dog in that day to get her shot .Becky is very knowledgeable , answered all question that I had regarding my dog and her symptoms she may ,or may not experience. Mind you she has a bunch of beautiful farm animals on her ranch that we got to enjoy, while we waited for them to prepare the shot . Thanks to Becky and the timing of course , it was quick and easy , and we were on our way back home 🐶🐾in no time . Thank you :)

She’s so awesome. Our dogs got in hated with fleas. Never had them before. Ever. My 11 yr old lab ended up with a severe allergic reaction to his skin. Fire red. Scratched raw. Caused a hot spot that was more of a hole. My Carolina couldn’t stop scratching. She saw them both. Charged one visit and exam fee and gave steroid injections. What a relief!!! Dogs had stopped scratching no matter what we did on our own. She was able to squeeze them in in less than 24 hours. We were so grateful. Poor baby’s. She also confirmed my mommy feelings about my 16 yr old chi who tore her axle and had subluxation in her knees. Our home vet wanted us to spend 10k and have all three fixed by an ortho surgeon with 6 months of serious Physical Therapy. I didn’t want to put her old self through all that pain. She’s blind. Deaf. 7 teeth. I was made to feel like. Bad mommy. Dr Becky confirmed I was doing the right thing for her at this age. What a oil relieving confirmation. As long as she wasn’t in pin then we feet symptom. We will know when she is in pain. She’s 16. Bless her. But thanks again Dr Becky. You’re our vet at least 5 months out of the year!!

And we’re not planned additions to my family.They were brought to me not thriving. Dr. Becky Washburn has a fine way of working with people and animals, all at the same time. Visiting her clinic in the hills surrounding Capitan is like a mini-paradise. The rescue animals on the property appear happy and healthy - some are even friendly! And my pets are always very happy to see her on repeat visits.Because of my experience as an ethical research writer as well as having worked in animal rescue for decades, I can confidently say that Dr. Washburn is as equally skilled and professional as she is empathetic and compassionate to an animal's needs and well-being. Dr. Washburn is amazing! She has seen both our two boxers (a pup and a senior dog). Her advice and treatments have been effective whether it’s a paw injury or glaucoma. She is VERY responsive to calls and takes the time to explain and talk things through. Her place isn’t all bright and shiny, but that’s not the point in my opinion. I highly recommend her!

Becky and her husband are absolutely amazing people! My very old chiweenie had a swollen face from bad teeth and Becky got her in on an emergency basis even though she was completely booked for over 2 weeks. She told me she wasn't going to tell me no so just bring her in. Had my little one back the next day and she is better than ever. Thanks Becky for all your hard work. Wish we had more vets that cared for animals the way you do!!

Ms. Washburn is the best, always full of smiles and joy and she is very sound with the animals and knowing what is wrong from a quick glance. My dog had a bad thorn/small twig in his paw between his toes that has been in there for a couple months, he had been to a vet in AZ first a couple days after it happened and they lanced and irrigated but they didn't get all of it out and noticing it not healing, I took him to Ms. Washburn and immediately she could tell there was still stuff in the bulging area and I left my dog there at 10am and they had him ready to be picked up by 3. And it can be kind of worry some leaving your dog anywhere, however with the vibe of Ms. Washburn and the whole clinic I was not worried about the well-being of my dog at all while under their care.Overall I highly recommend this small town Vet.I drive over an hour to this vet because I trust them and they are affordable.

Becky is great! Was passing thru town when my dog fractured a Caine it had been looking like a complicated fracture so I wanted it checked out by a professional asap. I called Becky she got back to us quickly and was willing to take a look and had us send her a couple pictures over the phone. She let us know it was just cosmetic and there was nothing to worry about.She gave us peace of mind for free and likely saved us hundreds.Thanks again for your time Becky!
