Staying at Valley of Fires I noticed my propane tank being held on by 2 nuts. Not a good feeling. Tried Amazon but they couldn't get to me for 5 days. I decided to go out to the merc instead. What a great store. Everything I needed. "High end" locking nuts, bolts, and washers. Bottle jack and butt connectors as well. Very nice people. Clean restrooms...entire store was very clean. Stop in and buy something if you're in the area. It's off the main drag and it doesn't look open but it is...especially if nobody else is there.

For quick fixes this is the perfect place. While higher than some places, the convenience of having the mercantile is great. Ranchers and homemakers can make a trip to the country store to pick up nails, horse equipment, 40 to 50 pounds of dog food, all kinds of feeds for all types of animals, household goods, hardware, paint, plumbing supplies. The list goes on. I have gone to the Mercantile for years. Check out the cast iron cookware. Wood stoves. You get the message. Need a fix it supply in a pinch. Go to the Mercantile.
