Like most dogs, mine gets nervous going to the vet but now that I’m taking her here she does so much better! Their office is always calm and they have very short lobby area wait times..if any at all. They are so attentive and really take time to listen to every concern I have. They also review all our options including giving straightforward cost. It’s a wonderful place and I won’t be taking my dogs anywhere else.

I have a new Aussie labradoodle and the treatment we have received is fabulous. They care about my Abby as much as I do. I am so comfortable with BPCC and trust my dog is in good hands. They also take my pet insurance so that is a great plus

Absolutely wonderful! They took such good care of my little princess Cloudy. She went in for an ear infection and they did a great job. I definitely recommend. They are attentive, sensitive, educated, and affordable. Even took the time to let her get comfy as she is a bit sensitive, being a big grumbly Mastiff.Thank you for being there for my sweet baby.

I recently moved to this clinic because it is closer to my home and I most definitely do not regret it. I have seen Dr. Tatoris and Dr. Garcia and both have been nothing but amazing. The front desk staff is extremely kind as well as the techs. Our 13 year-old Chihuahua mix, Sid, was sick so we took him in and unfortunately he was diagnosed with liver cancer and cushings disease. On 2/26/24 he wasn't doing well so we took him back in. He had filled up with free fluid. Due to the severity of his illness we decided it was time for him to cross the rainbow bridge. The care, support, love and kindness the staff showed during such a difficult time was superb.Since then we have adopted a poodle and he has been there twice (we have had this new guy for three weeks). 🤣 Anyways, Louie already is comfortable going in for visits because he knows he gets lots of treats.I definitely recommend visiting Bernalillo Pet Care Center. You will not regret it. At least we didn't.

Brandon and Dr. Garcia were amazing. Brandon was very knowledgeable and friendly, and answered all of our questions regarding our dog and then some. The office was clean, and we are so happy with our visit. We believe our dog is in great hands here.

I took my Elvis in this morning due to glaucoma occurring in both eyes. They got him in right away, suggested a double eye removal, and did the surgery all within the same day. The staff was so amazing and talked me through the upcoming obstacles with this new journey ahead and reassured me that he is no longer in pain. My dog wouldn’t be alive without this amazing group of animal lovers! She was bleeding internally from spleen tumors. They diagnosed her immediately just from how she looked and got her into emergency surgery. It was a long process of waiting for the pathology results. My dog is doing great! It is a very intense process and they handled everything so gracefully. I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Terrible new online customer services at this business. Beware, if you are a new patient with your pet(s) have to have their appointments confirmed 48 business hours before arrival for your appointment or you will be turned away, or required to pay an additional fee (walk in emergency) which is ridiculous, and just another way to gouge you before you can see a veterinarian. None of this is on their website, and it’s not on your confirmation email.Horrible experience and way to treat new clients. Especially a new English Bulldog x 2 patient. Their loss!And yes, I did check my missed call logs, and my robocall killer, and there is only one call from the Bernalillo Pet Center which was at 1:30PM, so their response below is not truthful about making multiple calls. The overall policy and why the confirmation only exists for new patients and not existing patients is completely one sided and a method of gouging new unaware patients. It’s good to know now instead of later!

In response to the negative reviews I've been reading on this site.....I've been a client of Bernalillo Pet Care Center since the day they initially opened. Over the years they have treated my dogs as well as my lizards. The staff and the doctors are all very compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. Regarding the complaints about front office staff..... Everyone has a bad day on occasion and most recently I had a not so pleasant phone experience with a seemingly very young individual that was apparently new as I had not dealt with her before. Her phone etiquette was very bad as well as her attitude with my concerns regarding my old gsd's medication. I believe additional training customer service may be necessary. But that one little hiccup would never stop me from continuing with their service as it is the best in this area in my personal opinion. In addition, I had to make a decision to let my old guy take his final journey to his permanent resting place across the bridge and I could not have asked for a more understanding, compassionate and tender treatment of both Zen and myself during this devastating experience. I will always be grateful to them for all that they do. I suggest some of you try to be a tad bit more understanding these days and if you have an issue with an individual, by all means.... speak to management! Thank you so much Staff and Doctors at Bernalillo Pet Care for everything you did for me and especially for my fourth and last German Shepherd, Zen. There is a special place in heaven for every single one of you.

Such a wonderful place. My rescue puppy wasn’t eating for days and I was so concerned. They were able to give us an urgent visit today. The front desk staff, the tech and the doctor were all wonderful and so intelligent and helpful. And the facility is lovely and clean. I really enjoyed our visit here. We’ve moved from Dallas and have found it almost impossible to find a good primary care vet here in ABQ. Thank goodness we found Bernalillo Pet Care Center

Dirty, overpriced, and uncaringWe took our dog for an annual tooth cleaning. We were surprised that he suddenly had 5 abscessed teeth that they removed. The vet who decided this gave us zero communication whatsoever, before or after. Worst of all, his paws were crusted with feces when we picked him up. It was disgusting and made us so distressed to think what conditions they exposed him to.Two days after the surgery he was shivering despite the house being warm. We took him back, they seemed nonchalant about the fact that he had a fever two days after surgery (and being exposed to filthy conditions, licking who knows what). They said they could send us home with an anti-nausea and appetite stimulant, or if we wanted more peace of mind, they could give him a $350 blood test. Since neither of those meds would address a fever, we asked them to do the blood test. Unsurprisingly, he had an infection. They then tried to charge us a fee for the visit “for taking a slot” despite us having $600 worth of other charges for this visit alone. This happened on a Saturday, and they sent us home without the blood work even though they were clear that things might keep getting worse and we might need to seek emergency care. Unfortunately that is what happened, and the emergency vet couldn’t believe that they hadn’t provided us the blood work, making a difficult situation that much harder.I spoke about all of this with the practice manager, Ashley, and she was pretty flippant about it and seemed to not believe me about the feces on the paws. She promised me she would be consulting with the medical director and would follow up, but she never did and never returned my calls.They lost a patient of more than two years. Looking forward to going to a place where you actually know which vet will be providing care, and tremendously regret ever taking my pets here. If you love your pets, do not put them at risk by taking them here. I would drive to Denver before putting him back in their dirty, uncaring hands.I’m filing a report with the NM Board of Veterinary Medicine because I truly believe this practice poses a risk to the pets of our community. Truly looking forward to seeing Ashley and the irresponsible vets at the mandatory hearing.

My first interaction with Bernalillo Pet care center was under very difficult circumstances. Katherine was very helpful and very caring and sympathetic. Thank you so much for what you were able to do for myself and the pet owner on 9-17-22. I highly recommend Dr. Revee Garcia, she has seen all 4 of my dogs. Dr Garcia is caring, professional and compassionate. I am able to get appointments in a very reasonable time frame. AND THEY ALWAYS confirm appointments..The front office personnel are very caring, and thorough. Katherine is always very helpful, compassionate and knowledgeable. The Techs are also very caring and professional. (Brittany is our favorite). I always recommend Bernalillo Pet Care and Doctor Revee Garcia to anyone who owns a pet. They are the BEST.

After many years of searching for quality and compassionate veterinary services, I have finally found it at Bernalillo Pet Care Center. My dogs have seen a variety of their veterinary providers and they have all been knowledgeable, pleasant and kind whether we were visiting for routine care, chronic disease, or an emergency visit. Veterinary care is expensive, but Bernalillo Pet Care Center has reasonable prices and is considerate of cost in their recommendations. They answer their calls and have appointments available within a reasonable time frame. They handle my dogs gently and respectfully regardless of breed. I'm so thankful for them and their wonderful staff! The front office, techs, and veterinarians are all wonderful!

I switched from Mission Vet to Bernalillo Vet and have been so happy! They are outstanding!! Everyone one from front office staff (Katherine) to the techs and the doctors!!!!I just lost one of my girls. We had her cremated and they wrote me a beautiful card signed by all!! First class❤️😇💯🐕🐾 🐶🍖🐕!!

I was out riding my bike on a Sunday morning and in front of police station I saw what I thought was a dead cat as I rolled by it ,it meowed very weakling so I try'd calling animal control ( no luck) I looked up and seen their number on sign across the street and called the lady said someone would be right over and not even 3 minutes later here comes this lady to get the cat and I asked if I needed to go in case someone had to pay she said no that they had this. Thank you for always taking such good care of Bandita! 🐶 💊🐾🐾Update:Bandita was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor.10 days later she had her surgery performed and it was done so perfectly that I don't think she even realizes that she had a procedure. Thankfully the tumor had not migrated to the muscle.So it was only 3 stitches. But her care before during and after was excellent. Thank you to all the great Dr s/surgeons and vet techs. For keeping her healthy.
