Workers and management are very nice and willing to help if the customer needs it, that's hard to find in the other stores so I really do like going to this dollar general. Also it's the cleanest store in my opinion.

The Rio Communities NM Dollar General was very well stocked, it took me very little time to find the products I was shopping for, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I store was very clean and tidy. I was very impressed, I will go out of my way just to shop there again.

Would be more, but showed up at 9:54 and doors were locked change your hours to 9:50 if you are going to close before 10.If I make the commitment to show up before 10 you should do me the same courtesy to stay open until 10... I only wanted 1 item. It's like people are afraid to work a full shift.Usually has very nice employees, but nothing is more annoying than businesses closing early without at least an excuse!

I came into the store a few weeks ago and the store looked like a mess! I was walking with another customer and boxes were thrown everywhere. I came in this morning and I was marvel, the store looks night and day compared to what it was. Nothing to say but immaculate work from Rebecca the leader of the team and Julia her hand that helps on the floor. I know it had to have been a lot of hard work and a ton of go backs and a lot of front facing. There is still a few more aisles to get done, but overall they are heading in the right direction, with the sells floor looking like this, business will go up. Great job guys

The store manager likes to single out customers and is very rude. One thing I can't stand is liars and this lady lies through her teeth. She started making stuff up as to why she couldn't sell to me. She actually had the nerve to say at one point she just keeps items on the floor she can't sell and continues to put them back out as people attempt to buy them each time, lol. Um how does that make any sense? Illegal to do and just so dumb it makes no sense. I went to 2 other stores immediately after, went to purchase the exact same items she refused to sell to me at her store and had no problems at the other stores. I believe there could be some underline discriminatory issues here, considering the 3 times I have been in the store I have been asked odd and inappropriate questions each time randomly. Such as where I live, my religion, and what other stores I shop at. Who knows, maybe its not related to asking such inappropriate questions and she just tries to have family or friends buy the things she refuses to sell to others. You just never know with a liar and someone who singles you out with nothing to provoke it. Its worth the 5 minute drive elsewhere, the other managers are kind hearted and work way harder.

Four stars for excellent service and location! However, it's kind of an over crowded store with too much inventory. Also, it's usually not busy either, which is nice for a quick stop. Just glad I don't have to run all the way across town to Walmart to get what I need.

Very convenient employees are super friendly management is awesome she works hard to keep this store up to par. Manager before was very rude. and by some of these comments you can tell people are just immature . They try very hard to keep the store stocked and organized. I'm sure it's not easy managing a store. Good job.

Up until recently things in this store were alright. It’s dollar general, how good can it be?? Now the store is messy, nothing is out on the shelves and they close early from time to time. Why?? Dollar general where the store is messy and nothing is a dollar… Id rather drive out of my way than to shop here. Too many people outside this store begging for money. This store is in need of a major revamp!

There was only one person working in about 14 people in line. I mentioned that they should have two cashiers when it's this busy. She explained the other girl who is busy stocking the shelves, and explained that that was very important. Under my breath I said like that's more important than customers . Eventually she did call the other girl that was stalking. I must say the one cashier was very efficient and handled the line well

I used to work at Dollar general and when I went into work on Wednesday I wasn't told that there was any kind of sickness going on in my area. Only that there were allergies. Well, those allergies turned out to be influenza. Putting my father and mother in the ER. If you are medically fragile, I don't ever suggest going to this Dollar general unless it's your last choice

Be wary of using FEDEX services at this store. We live near mountain air and have a mailbox at the ups store in Los Lunas (we don't have mail services where we live). I order Herbalife and have used fedex dropoff locations for years to receive it (in various states) and have never had an issue. I show up and provide identification, sign and they release the package. This time I added my wife as the person for pickup since she works nearby and will be in the area. She calls and starts telling me they don't want to release the package because "the address doesn't match her ID”. I'm like "what?". The employee is telling her it's policy that the shipping address on the package (which is dollar general) has to match what's on her driver's license. My wife literally spent a quarter of her lunch break having to explain to this girl why her driver's license couldn't have the dollar generals address on it and how if the package had any other address on it then the package wouldn't be there because it would be at that other address. The employee insisted that my wife had to provide something with the DG address on it so she pulled up the Herbalife order and showed it to the employee with the DG address listed as shipping and finally got the package after 20 minutes.It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. Im not a fan of this particular store as a customer because of bad service and now I won't even use their FedEx drop off either. I'll just pick it up next time with my normal mail at my PMB.

Has gotten a lot better since management and employee changes. They do offer a lil different items than the others around town. The clothing has more items that the others. Set up seems different harder to navigate unless it's just harder for me cause I go here less due to location.

This place was 'ok' years ago when they had good management. Since,, the store is constantly cluttered with empty shelves. Furthermore, staff is not following NM's mask requirements.

This store use to be the flagship for Dollar General Stores in the area. Now it's quite frankly a rotten store and negatively represents the principles of Dollar General. The culture in the store is negative and openly oppressive to associates that work there. The new manager has severely weak customer service skills and is clearly unaware of a basic retail premise of strong merchandising (stocked shelves) equals increased sales and customer retention. But then this manager seems more inclined to stand outside the store and smoke, often blowing smoke toward customers entering the store. I have given up going to this store. It is understocked, cluttered, dirty, and uninviting. At one point it reeked of something that had died inside the store. Even though this store is much closer to my home I will gladly drive the extra 10 miles to another DG store. While current management is in place I will never go back to that store. It is a nice building on the outside. However, on the inside it is imploding

The staff is always so friendly, even though they are getting absolutely slammed with customers. It has been super busy at this location throughout this pandemic, and the employees have stayed friendly and helpful. I'm thankful for their service to our community!

Horrible management. Never up front when you are ready to check out. The staff are always walking around on their phones. I have heard management yelling at the cashiers in front of customers. The store always looks un-stocked. I would suggest a different location for shopping. Have seen many drug deals go on out in the parking lot. Also the store smells of marijuana. I suspect the cashiers bring their stash to work. Highly unprofessional.

When I asked one of the clerks if he had any empty boxes I could have, he stopped what he was doing and quickly found the right size and emptied its merchandise for me. The cashier greeted every entrant with a warm shout out.

I’m shopping in the clearance aisle. Then I take items from clearance shelve to buy . Turns out I’m told the items are not clearance. Then what’s the item doing on the shelve I tell employee. Rude Employee has the nerve to say I probably put it on the clearance shelve to get the discount!! Yeah sure like I’m going to move 12 cans of raid to buy one??!! They need put their items where they go.

Been in here more than a few times and found quite a few things that I needed. However the prices are closer to wal-mart than I thought they were. Of course I am used to the busy aisle in Albuqerque as these aisle are very close together. And packed full of stuff. But I guess it is what the locals are used to. Don't fix what isn't broken.

This Dollar General is always busy as it is the closest store for many of us.It was clean and well stocked. Most of all the employees were actually working and they were very nice.

Like store cuz it's close to home for a quick stop when you don't want to go into town or forgot something. It's improved in cleanliness and store shelves are kept up from past experiences.

Don't care for the Dollar General in Rio communities the manager's name Josephine makes you feel like you're stealing from them uncomfortable I guess I've seen her plenty of times stop people stating that they are stealing from the store and making them uncomfortable especially the elderly is from 50 and up I think that is wrong. The one that's in Rio communities Belen New Mexico but the other manager she's young and she's an excellent manager she makes you feel welcome then the other manager name Josephine and works during the daytime drives a blue truck she makes a lot of people uncomfortable there that I do now thank you and have a great day go to the one in veguita at least they have a smile and they greet you each time we walk in with a smile and a happy attitude going to work for us

Under New Management, store is terrible! Hardly anything on shelves, stocking carts blocking isles stuff all over the floors. Rude employees and no one's wearing a mask!! I'll call corporate and complain again until something is done!!!

This store is what you would expect of a Dollar Store, except this store in particular is pretty well stocked every single time I go. You sometimes have to look for what you want, as of course most of the items are very discount versions, but I don't find that to be much of a problem.

They definitely have a little bit of everything in a small space. Their is a young lady working there and she is so sweet. I always seem to catch her working.
