It's good that they exist close to the two State Parks (Caballo Lake and Percha Dam). Came with my dog Michi on a Saturday afternoon around 2 pm. The place was empty and very dark, I inquired if it was OK that Michi came in, the bartender told me to go to the covered patio outside. Very nice weather in the low 80's and a mild breeze, this was the perfect time to drink a beer and have a good old hamburger while listening to a local band. Nothing like that happened, instead it was a disgusting, dirty place. Total lack of vision of what the place could be!By the way, a Budweiser beer bottle was $3.50, that's not a good price as other reviewers have written.

Gil the Bar tender & Owners are very nice people & it has a Wonderful atmosphere. Everyone is very pleasant & friendly. I like Caballo Tavern cuz it reminds me of an Old "Cowboy Saloon," just like the Cowboy movies I grew up watching! Enjoy going there!

A small local dive in the middle of no where. Only package liquor store for miles. A little expensive but saves you time from having to go into town. They also have a bar so if you want to sit with your friends and have a drink after a day on the lake or the trail.
