I had a great time here in early March, despite heavy wind and thin snow coverage for what I'm used to. I never waited in line longer than 2 mins for a lift. The lifts were comfortable and everyone on them was very friendly and happy. The food selection was decent on the slopes and the views were great. And the hill had enough variety of terrain that I didn't get bored at all. I would definitely come back!

This is an awesome place to ski. The shuttles are very helpful and it's all right there at the base of the mountain. Lockers, restrooms, lift tickets, etc. Wish they would do a triple play pass like red river or a better verterans discount, but hey it's an awesome mountain with great views and a variety of challenges for everyone. Seems like the ski lessons are more reasonable here as well so next time I will bring the wife and see if she would want to give it a go.

Great resort for all ages! Ski school for my 5 & 10 year old was amazing! I definitely recommend that the younger kids go for more than 1 day. They put trackers on them so you can follow their entire day. The younger kids didn't get as much ski time and was not comfortable on the slopes while the older kiddo did 100 rounds and went straight to the blues on day 2! All of the staff was wonderful with the exception of the manager at the lift ticket booth. She was very rude and disrespectful when there was an issue with our online purchase that i called about IMMEDIATELY after purchasing. I do NOT recommend buying your lift tickets ahead of time. But overall it was a great experience. We will definitely be back!

Awesome ski resort. Not crowded, perfect conditions, friendly staff, super convenient shuttle busses, great variety of terrain and trails for all levels. Delicious Mexican food at El Jefe for lunch. A perfect getaway. Thank you for a world class experience!

The staff is very friendly, I took a ski lesson and the instructor was very friendly and patient with me as I found out pretty early skiing isn’t for me. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to a slow learner. Expect $330 for lesson, lift ticket, and gear( helmet, skis, pole, and boots). I only wish they allowed or had some snow shoeing trails. It would be nice at that price point to at least be able to go up top grab a beer and hang out. Walk around a bit and. See what’s up. This is the only reason for me giving 3 stars.

!!!There was snow everywhere, and the small towns' aura was INCREDIBLE. It was almost surreal because I'm so used to the big city rush. This place is calming yet exciting. We will definitely be returning.

My winter season will not be complete without touring all the ski resorts around the enchanted circle. Angel Fire (resort) is like home to me. The staff are friendly, runs are well groomed. I just happen to visit last January 20, 2024 when it was not crowded. I had fun. I am already familiar with the place which is safe, with grocery store and a good pizza place. Watch my reels and you tube channel for reference. Cheers

This is a spectacular park. There is ONLY ONE downside. They close for weather. Lightning. Wind. Rain. All of it. New Mexico has it's fair share in this region. So go early or stay a couple of days. You won't regret it!

Wonderful ski resort! Easy to rent equipment nearby and park. All staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. There are plenty of picnic tables to share and it's a safe and family friendly atmosphere. I was particularly impressed with the help provided for the green beginner slopes!

Good for beginners however, they sell a lot more lift tickets than they have the runs for. I understand they are at the whim of mother nature but literally 4 runs are open and all but one are greens. Because of that I don't recommend skiing here until January. I have been here when the mountain is open and it's a lot of fun.

Sarah and brooke really really care about us (my and my family) it was an amazing experience. From the restaurant, josh, sebastian and the people from the legends restaurant....amazing. There was other 2 people at the legends that i don't remember their names but it was the guy at the bar and the other waiter i think his name was harold. At the rental store located at the base of the mountain, there was a guy that was not kind with some doubts that my wife had about her skis size, he show little or no patience with her......i think he could consider that people don't know as much as he knows about skiing and be more friendly.Besides that incident.....everything eas perfect

Room is nice and large. Beds were good. Staff were all so nice as always. Brooke is amazing and Sarah is always so helpful at the front desk. Nice to see familiar faces when we visit even though they may not remember us. :) Heater on the wall was noisy. Wish there was central heat and air but I know its an older resort. Rooms were quiet which is wonderful and very clean. Thanks for another great stay!

Super location! Always! Room 312 view is amazing! Great and helpful front desk! Brooke is the best.."choose life"!! Rooms outdated but fine, bed was not comfortable I think it is one of those air up mattresses that everyone is selling now, and you will want to bring your comforter as it only has a thin blanket and basic sheets. but plenty of pillows :) The mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave is a plus..bring things to make food to eat, the resort main restaurant is now no longer serving breakfast or lunch, so breakfast burrito mix with tortillas that we brought came in super handy to not spend 10 plus per person for breakfast alone at the gift shop every morning, but the resort gift shop is good for a quick sandwich, again pretty expensive.. there are places in town like the morning star, but that requires leaving and driving--time digging into our lyft tickets which shuts down at 4.Tips:1. bring food ! breakfast.. lunch ..something and snacks , a pack of waters, gatorade, and adult beverages, (expensive individually at the resort)2. bring a comforter3. sunscreen, chapstick, a roll of papertowels-- it will come in handy.4. disposable silverware5. Ibuprophen, any allergy medicine (we went the week of valentines and superbowl 2024) We had a fantastic time! The only dissapointment was the restauraunt only opening for dinner now...I used to really enjoy eatting the breakfast right down the hall. The food is AMAZING! THE CHEF IS PERFECTION! Josh is great...you would think he is in love with his job! and there was a blonde female manager I think who is just awesome and made watching the superbowl soooo much fun! * everything on the menu was phenominal probably cant go wrong. Honestly, this review is coming from one of the pickiest people in the universe. That being said.. it is the best location Hands down! ..with the friendliest staff, it is clean and inviting.....****Suggestion to Angelfire resort****... please put hooks in the room for our ski/ snowboard, jackets / coats pants nicer clothes are in the closet and the snow stuff really needs to hang and air out. Thank you! Oh and if by any chance there is a designated adult only time for the hot tub use that would be great !

Amazing value! We stayed at the lodge and snowboarded for 3 days. The lodge is showing it's age, but everything worked fine and our room was massive. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. They got us an alarm clock with USB charging ports because we forgot our charger plug inside. There is a coffee/gift shop inside the lodge and everything is reasonably priced. There are plenty of places to rent gear on the property and on the road leading to the property. We used Winter Sports for our gear rentals and it was fine despite the bad reviews. The main chair lift, the Chile Express, did have some longer lines, but once you are up on the mountain, it takes forever to get back down so the wait time was worth it. Also if you stay on the highway trail side, the lift lines are very short. The trail runs are very long and were plenty of challenge for us. The only trail that we didn't like was called Heading Home and it's because of how crowded it gets (it's the main green trail from the top to the base). The restaurant inside the lodge has really good food and is surprisingly affordable. Our dinner plates, a side, dessert, plus drinks and a mixed drink was only $60. Overall, we are very pleased with how this ski trip panned out and we will most likely be returning next season.

The Angel Fire hotel staff were excellent, however the room needed to be remodeled. The room's furniture was worn beyond acceptable standards, did not project a clean environment.

This is not the best place for snowboarding if you like to go fast, the back side of the mountain is ok. The front side of the mountain is a few minutes of blues and or black runs, but they almost all come back to this never-ending run called, "heading home"...this slow-paced unbelievably flat trail has to be 3 to 5 miles long. I have been boarding for years, and almost cannot get even enough speed to make it back down to the lift, inappropriately named "Chile Express", nada esta express de este lift, it is a 15 minute ride to the top and the only way to subir del chile 😉It is better than nothing, but I would suggest just going to Red River, not even 40 more miles up the road, if they have snow.

Love Angel Fire! Unfortunately, our accommodation at your resort were the worst! It was dirty and hair in the sheets. The fire place didn’t work, so they proved a space heater. Not safe. The sulfur smell was terrible. Staff said it would go away after a few minutes. We were there 6 days and it never went away! Not pleasant! It is supposed to accommodate up to 6 people. However, there was only two thin blankets. The dishes and pans were dirty. The electricity stopped working on two walls in each room. No one could come and check anything until the following day. It took them 2 minutes to fix it. Really??? Customers are definitely not appreciated or cared about. Do NOT RECOMMEND!!! Fireplace stopped working in 2nd room, which provided the heat in the room. Another space heater provided. If that is the best you can provide, don’t try renting it out as a resort. We left early because things were falling apart daily. Concerned about our safety with butane issues and heating! It was down to 16°at night. Again, Do NOT RECOMMEND!!! Here are a few pics. When we called the number provided, their best response was I’m sorry, but didn’t do anything to correct anything. Then they just wouldn’t answer. We had to use another phone, then they answered the call.

Fun, small resort. Good signage so easy to navigate the mountain. Efficiently got lines through the lifts. Fun mountain offering a relaxing experience with younger skiers. There aren’t a lot of areas where they can find themselves on a hard run on accident (we ski blue mostly). We ate at The Summit house at the top of the mountain. I wouldn’t recommend it other than for snacks. Also, very hard to find a table. We rented at Mountain Sports and they were super helpful, and offered free s‘mores!

I had a really amazing time at the resort!I loved how long the runs were, how nice the mountain was, and when I was there, it snowed nearly 20", creating the MOST AMAZING POWDER. Also, while I was there the lift lines were short and never were too crowded. I did night skiing once, but only 3 runs are open from 4-7 PM (2 greens, and 1 blue). Overall, I loved the mountain for its wide variety of long runs, remoteness, and overall feel. Lastly, if you are coming from far away, the drive is worth it. (I came from Houston, Texas).Safety: Everything was very safe and we even left our shoes in an unlocked locker and they were still there when we returned.Noteworthy details: The mountain has something for all skill levels. The far side of the mountain seemed more difficult than the main area though. (More moguls, etc.)

We visit here almost every year and love it. The convenience of walking out the door, going up a flight of steps, renting our skis and getting on a chair lift is wonderful. The rooms are clean and certainly adequate. The Lodge is a little pricey considering the rooms could use some updating (reason for 4 instead of 5 stars), but we are willing to overpay a little for the hassle free ease of ski in/out. We park our car when we arrive and do not have to get back in it until we go home.
