They go above and beyond, caring for our furry friend better than we do. DRAC had the time of his life here, coming back peaceful and surprisingly well-trained with simple instructions. Thundering Paws has absolutely amazing customer service! We definitely had a rough start and end to our vacation in Ruidoso. They stayed late for us to drop off our babies the day we got there and the day we left. They responded quickly to our needs, were flexible, and accommodating. They spoiled my babies with treats and were there at comforting hours to know they were let outside, fed, and got playtime. I definitely recommend!

Thundering Paws is always there for us and our two doggies. They get very excited when they figure out they are going back. This after leaving them there for up to 7 days and frequently for “a day at the spa” for baths and socializing.

The dogs seemed well cared for and happy.They kept good track of all the beds and toys and other things I left for them and the manager brought everything out to us when we picked them upLetting them have their own beds there helped the dogs feel more at home I'm sure.

We recently took our pup to their doggie daycare because we had booked an adventure for the day which wasn't appropriate for the pup. Because he is 8 mths old, he has a lot of energy. He loves other dogs and loves to play. We thought daycare would allow him to have as much fun as we were and tire him out. When we dropped him off, we were assured by the girl up front that there was a good group of dogs and he would get lots of playtime. However, when we picked him up, he was not tired out at all! He had so much energy, we had to take him for a long walk and he still played for another hour after we got back from that. He very much behaved like he does when he has been left at home alone for an afternoon, kenneled. He also drank an entire bowl of water the minute we got in home. I don't think he got any playtime at all, nor water while we were gone. We won't be using this service again! Very disappointing.

My 6 month old beagle pups stayed for 3 weeks. I commonly asked for updates and they were happy to oblige. The service was very good and my puppies were happy girls during their stay and when we picked them up. I would recommend Thundering Paws and I will take my pups back again if I have occasion.

I had a standing appointment this morning ( every month for months) for my Labrador to get a bath and nails cut. When we arrived the girl up front said sorry but it would be a long wait they had 2 large sheep dogs waiting. Someone should have called to cancel or reschedule. We left and have not heard from anyone. SO RUDE!!!!!THANK YOU THUNDERING PAWS FOR RESOLVING MY SITUATION SO QUICKLY!! I look forward to many more visits..Charlie.

The website was easy to navigate to make a reservation. The staff was friendly and made my dog feel welcome when I dropped her off. She was ready when I arrived for pick up. The experience was less stressful than it could have been which was greatly appreciated!

I absolutely love Thundering Paws. My 3 fur babies have been staying there for several years now. The staff is wonderful and goes the extra mile when taking care of my babies. Thundering Paws is the only place we will leave them. We will drive out of our way just to board them there. I would definitely recommend Thundering Paws to anyone that needs reliable people to take care of their dogs. Asia has been there since we started leaving our dogs. We love her. She is always friendly and always has a smile. I know I don't have to worry about the care my babies are receiving. Thank you Thundering Paws

We are always welcomed by the pawsitive staff! They always know exactly who we are once we walk in the door! The staff Love the dogs and cats as if they were their own! They take exceptional care of our pooches. Once we turn onto the road, our dogs go crazy, they love it here, and can't wait to run through the door to meet all of the wonderful employees and house cats! I'm never worried when my dogs are here! And the best part is...... it doesn't smell like a dog kennel, or a vet! It is an exceptionally clean facility to have so many dogs!

Amazing place. Very kind staff who cares for our dogs, and they always have a great time. A great setting for the dogs to play, and nice places inside for them to sleep. We have finally been able to relax without the dogs on our trip!! ;)

They are always so kind to us and our fur babies! Sometime when we pick our dogs up they try to take us back to "their room". They just want to stay there forever. I only gave Thundering Paws 5 stars because I can't give them more!

Left our dog here for 8 nights and requested bathing and grooming. We also left our contact information with the paperwork when dropping him off.When we picked him up he had neither been groomed nor bathed and they told us he was aggressive towards another dog (yes he plays a little rough but he’s never attacked another dog) on day three so he was separated from the other dogs for the remaining five days. Through all of this we did not receive a single phone call to let us know what had happened. We also noticed that they marked his food for him to be fed twice a day when we told them in email, in person and on the paperwork that he was supposed to be fed 3 times a day.We will not be leaving our dog here again.

It has been my dream to spend the hot summer in the cool mountains of Ruidoso for years. This year, I finally achieved my goal (for one month, anyway) and brought one of my dogs with me. Unfortunately, she was not as excited about the trip as I was and would bark constantly when I left her in the condo alone. I found out about Thundering Paws & dropped her off for an afternoon and was thrilled! The facility is beautiful and the staff is awesome! I brought her back for several visits (even an overnighter) and felt completely comfortable and confident in doing so.

A bit expensive. But, you get what you pay for. These guys are great. They love taking care of your pets and are always available to update you on how they're doing. ...totally trust them. And these days, our dogs look forward to their stay.

The facility is very clean. They are very responsive to your animals needs. My dog stayed here when we had to go out of town for 3 days. We loved it so much we decided to enroll our german shepard in doggy day care.
