I’ve lived in ABQ all my life and somehow missed this place! It was great! The counter service was friendly, courteous, and very helpful. The decorations are all about the Beatles (makes sense, right?) and it was cheery and colorful inside. My sandwich was incredibly fresh, the bread was warm and soft and the meat and veggies were hot and juicy. Great experience! We’ll be back soon!

The subs here were delicious! We’ve been looking for a great sub spot here in ABQ & went here on recommendation. My husband picked us up take out. The employees were super helpful & patient. The varieties are great with a hot sub menu and a cold sub menu. The homemade chips were the best. This is definitely going to be a go to spot for us. It was amazing. Thank you!

Took the family here tonight and us plusses the kids loved it we even stood for ice cream the staff was super friendly and the overall vibe of the restaurant was great kids split a large meat ball sub and me and my husband split large bacon sub homemade chips and fries were so goodKid-friendliness: Cool atmosphere the kids loved all the pictures and posters

Food was AMAZING! Especially the homemade potato chips!!! Service was great! The older gal that took our order helped explain the difference between a sub and torpedo. After reading previous reviews, we were a little hesitant on going. But after seeing the latest reviews and Facebook videos, our mind was changed. It must be under new management. All in all awesome experience.

Went here for the first time today and it was really good! Best local sandwich place I’ve ever had.. I got the steak torpedo with green Chile and an ice cold Dr Pepper. The fresh baked bread and fried chips were delicious! The place has a nice old school vibe and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely a great place to bring family and friends

A real taste of the real Albuquerque! This quirky sub shop has been here forever for good reason. Enjoy the best meatball sub you’ll ever have - the homemade result of two grandmas’ secret recipes Potato chips are made fresh and served warm in a yellow basket. End your visit with a giant brownie sundae, made with your choice of 16 Blue Bell ice creams and a generous mountain of whipped cream and nuts on top.The atmosphere is classic sub shop, with booths and swivel seats at the counter. The walls are covered in a mix of Beatles memorabilia and pics of Albuquerque’s most notable and eccentric characters. The staff are friendly, welcome, and helpful.Why would you go to any other sandwich shop when you could go here?Vegetarian options: Good veggie sub

Local shops are so much better than chains, and Yeller Sub is no exception! The bread here is great, and my kids love coming for scoops of Blue Bell ice cream. Worth coming to!Kid-friendliness: Lots to look at, and has ice cream!

Christy took my order (offered great toppings) after a friendly greeting, and checked on us a couple times too. I could tell she absolutely cares about customers. Food was glorious- truly delicious, every texture and flavor was perfect. Very clean and inviting place, I did notice all the other customers were very friendly and happy too...says a lot about a restaurant. Have enough food for dinner tonight 😋 can't wait 🙏

Visited this restaurant a number of years ago and it was awful. The staff was grumpy and was an overall terrible experience. I'm from out of town and decided to give it another try and I have to say that the new owners, management and staff have turned this place around. The food was amazing(pastrami torpedo) the staff was extremely friendly and beyond helpful. I'll definitely go out of my way during my next visit to enjoy the yeller sub again!

If you're reading this you should eat here.The staff were all so friendly and fun! 😭 They made a mistake on my sandwich, and I just wanted the missing toppings in a cup on the side but they insisted on giving me a whole new sandwich along with the first one.The meatball sub and malts are very good.Dietary restrictions: They are willing to do custom orders and have many vegetarian options.

If you were ever like me and just drove past this place, Don't! Stop in for a torpedo, we were politely greeted and the menu was explained to us. Very delicious ingredients and very good in house baked bread, excellent price large portions and there was a good looking ice cream bar as well. This stop will be our goto for lunch next time we come through.

Best quick bite to eat in Albuquerque! The fries are THE BEST and the sandwiches are incredible. Pictured is a Poseidon sub with some add-ons and a regular order of fries.Highly recommend this spot for lunch or dinner. The interior feels like a blast to the past and has all the good 80’s vibes! The owner loves The Beetles and has memorabilia and art all over the walls. So fun!

I had the half chicken sub (fajita style) add grilled onions and jalapeños, medium fry, and unsweetened iced tea. Everything turned out well. I just moved to the area and I will make this a regular eating spot. The bread was really soft compared to many popular sub places. The recipe and quantity combined well together. I look forward to trying more menu items. The atmosphere is great too!

This place is fantastic. Their torpedo pastrami sandwiches are always perfect and add their homemade chips and you have a combo you can't beat. The employees and owners always make you feel welcome. I highly recommend this local business. .

So coming from back east where sub places are everywhere and of all varieties, I decided to try the Yeller Sub in Albuqurque. I got a pastrami torpedo because well you can't find pastrami everywhere. Overall the torpedo was a 7 out of 10, the pastrami being the savior of the sandwich, but the overall other toppings were just mediocre, but the bread was fresh and held together. Fries were simple and crispy. The best part was the service very friendly and willing to help you, overall not to bad. Thank you!

When I told the owner that my Coke was flat, he was very nice to replace it with something else, but it was flat and tasteless too. He said, “yah some customers have mentioned that their Cokes were flat. It’s an old dispenser.” How about fixing or replacing it..?Immediately out of the bag, I found that my shoestring fries were not piping hot and crispy. The subs were delicious. It’s impressive that they make their own bread. Pretty pricey trip though-$39 for 2 large subs, one large order of fries and one large soda that I couldn’t drink.

Crispy fresh cut fries a sandwich that reminds you of grandmas love. You can tell this torpedo is made with that same great care and love. You normally find Mark (owner) and Rosie running feeling those around them with a full belly and their smiling faces. What a great team and example of the American dream come see this historic stop here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I promise all you and your family/ friends will keep coming back!Update - its still the best sandwich in the 505.Features: They do an out standing job keeping us safe.
