I was so excited when the Carlisle store opened a new store across the street from their current location. Finally, Albuquerque was going to get a Whole Foods like Denver and Phoenix-spacious, good selections, friendly people. They opened-I was excited! Now, I get that the first few weeks are rough with opening. However, let’s keep in mind, it wasn’t like they were retraining an entire new staff. They were just moving across the street. Maybe it’s more complicated than I think, but here we are, two months out from their grand opening and it’s a disaster. The selection is terrible, the produce is never out and if it is, it’s terrible. The service, I’m just blown away because part of the experience of Whole Foods IS the service. Well, if I could write a -5, I would. I walked up to the prepared foods counter and despite there being three people behind the counter, no one. I mean no one asked to help me and I stood there for about 2-3 minutes until I walked away and thought to myself, “you all are so busy setting up or getting caught up that you don’t even see the people around you who need help.” I finally walked away. Here is the best part - I get to the checkout and there’s one person checking out people and no one to be found but the poor guy who’s in charge of six self-checkout stations. I Inquired about the possibility of pulling somebody off the floor since we were all waiting (there was a line of 6 of us and NO ONE in the self check out). His response was “we’re really short staffed we can’t do anything.”Whole Foods corporate, I’m talking to you. You need to make changes because this is a reflection of your leadership and customer service. I hope you read this because if in fact, you are short staffed, hire people. Treat the Albuquerque customers with the level of service and quality that we deserve. Train your people, bring us high quality products and staff your stores.

The new Whole Foids stote on Carlisle on the one hand is try magnificent; on the other, it is clear that any older sense of family, food, and good health is out the window with its enormity. You could say that Whole Foods with the amazingly huge and cavernous store has gone in my opinion Full Amazon. I will continue to drop off my Amazon returns but my actual shopping will be done elsewhere. For no particular reason there is a Volkswagen van in the store. And there seem to be more E car parking spots than handicapped spots near the storefront.

Update:I heard the new location is very well-done. Came to check the store out the first time after my bad cake experience. Had to knock another star off. First, I bought two apples. The sticker was right on to cover up a big hole. Disappointed. Second, the baby puff is one month past expiration date. Didn’t expect a newly opened store not doing their inventory check right. Store is beautiful, staff are great, but we really came here for good quality food which seems missing.June.2023I love the staff here but the two times we came here for bakery stuff, they are both saggy and taste awful. The strawberries on the fruit tart were starting to taste fermented. The cookie and cream cake was so dry, it came apart as we cut it like a dry play dough.

Been to Whole Foods all around the US. This was one of the coolest ones. Love the trendy van in the seating area! Well done on the new store 👏

Visited for an Amazon pickup. Very easy to get in and out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The new store seems a lot like the old one but with more room. Aisles are double the width making it feel much less congested. Not enough different to make me switch from our co-op but better than it was.

Love the new store except at sunset when the sun comes. Blazing in through the windows and shoots all the way through the whole store, but welcome to New Mexico! Staff is always great as usual. Selection is good. Food is good. It's whole foods only with a brand new building !

The new spot is spacious and just had a 'fresh' feel to it. It was pretty busy but not crowded or noisy. This is a good update for Whole Foods- & of course, the staff are friendly. It's inviting. Go check it out 😁

I like the new store in Albuquerque. It's got more head room, more good stuff like hot pizza bar and better cashing out options. The employees that I came in contact with were very helpful and happy. The variety of food on the food bars is always great and so are the pastries!

Great, quality, food for sure. The customer service is fare but you do $$pay$$ generously for the quality you receive. I absolutely treasure the food we buy from whole foods. I just wish it were more affordable to eat a quality, natural, wholesome diet. Great place though. Wonderful selection. They usually have amazing sushi 🍣 too!!

Beautiful, clean, well organized store! I was a somewhat surprised at the prices being higher than imagined, but people did not seem to be fazed!I discovered Amazon Prime members get 10% off- a pleasant discovery. So many unusual options!! Most were healthy. The people behind the counters were really friendly too, which is always a positive in my estimation.I am definitely returning!!

Big new, very impressive and beautiful store on Carlisle and 1-40. Gorgeous produce, excellent meat counter, delicious looking deli items and bakery offerings. Quite a lot of prepared foods, also. Health and beauty aids and the entire place has a "healthy foods and products vibe" although very extensive selection of familiar products you might see in a regular store. Prices can be a little higher but we'll worth it considering the wide amount of offerings. You have a good chance of finding what you're looking for here.

This is a brand new store that opened last month. I have shopped there a few times. While it is fairly satisfactory, I found they no longer sell some things I want. Healthy things. They have eliminated my staple food needs over the years. This store is still better than the regular grocery store. The flow lines in this store are not good though. You’re always having to cross in front of people or maneuver your cart a lot.

Received as a gift 2 bundles of flowers. 20 tulips in one and when opened up to vase there were only 8 which held petals and were not slimy. I called and they said there was nothing they could do without receipt. They were a gift so I did not have it. Will not buy any flowers for gifts or otherwise from Whole Foods ever.

I wish they would put out the variety of pastries as early as 800am. Not everyone works later in the mornings, or have the time to come back to buy one. Overall I love their fresh cut up fruits, never a disappointment. Breakfast burritos are good as well.

The new location as of February 2024 is definitely improved over the old. It is spacious, appears to have greater variety of product. I like it! However, I cannot give it five stars because you CAN'T GET A CUP OF HOT COFFEE THERE. THERE IS NO COFFEE BAR! Old location had a coffee bar... Lack of same in new location is a big step backwards. Apparently it's more important to have an Amazon pickup/drop off counter instead. WF please bring back coffee!

The new Carlisle location is very similar to the location on Wyoming & Academy, in terms of size and layout. The design is slightly more modern and store seems brighter inside, but it is largely tge same as their other location here and others that I've been to outside of NM. This store does have a lot of self checkout registers, which the other location does not. Only one actual cashier was open when we visited around 6:30pm, so there was a long line at his register and line at self checkout also. A couple more cashiers working and open would have been nice.

Lets talk about the prepared foods : (1) the make-your-own-salad section has very LESS ingredients and no longer has corn …. a very basic salad ingredient found at ALL WFs (2) the boneless chicken had bones in it yesterday?!?! (3) the sauces on the kale and veggie dishes are sometimes too little or dried out (5) what happened to regular herbed sautéed veggies? (6) pizza is tasteless & need some fluffiness to it - it’s not a flatbread (7) I miss the whole foods that keep Salmon in the Hot Bar and not in the cold area behind glass.I waited to let the newness of the store & workers fade before writing a review. But the workers are great! On another visit = the blacked fish not made correctly, it was not blackened at all, in other words it was still white and lacks any seasoning required for this dish.

Bought the Oreo chocolate cake! Such a pretty cake. Happy Birthday time. Couldn’t get candles through the icing. Embarrassing. Put one in whip cream dot. Thought maybe was still frozen. Even the inner layer of icing was hard. Cake very dry. But really pretty.

A good shopping experience. This is a bright store, full of lots of products and the vibe is nice. I love that they sell Hoptea which is hard to find. The place was very busy but still remarkably well faced and clean. The hot food bar and salad bar area were a tad dry looking but other whole foods are the same. The only thing I would improve would be to have a pleasant eating area that's calm. Both the tables up by the registers and the outdoor tables were hectic with shoppers and cars. Restrooms were accessible with a number code for customers only. Ample parking spots, conveniently located off of Cutler & Hwy 40.

UPDATE: Right! Like I'm going to go to your website and let you "review" my comments. Talk about Big Brother! How about you just do the right thing and make your store handicapped accessible?*********This Whole Foods location continues to be my least favorite. The parking lot is a hellscape, and the store is so crammed that as a disabled person, it is overwhelming. There are tons of displays blocking access to mobility carts. Today, the cart I was in had a "safety feature" that causes the cart to lock up if it senses an obstacle.... like an effing DISPLAY!! I could only back up, but every time I tried to move forward, nope. So, I left it right where it was... diagonal in the middle of an aisle.I know they are building a new Whole Foods across the street, but they need to get a move on with it. This store is too cramped for the number of people coming through it. And most of those people are oblivious to everything around them, so if you wanna push past a disabled person because you're special and important, I might accidentally trip you with my cane.Of course, I just adore all the Amazon propaganda, proclaiming they care about people and the planet, but we all know those are vicious lies.

I was extremely hopeful that the new location would have everything that the old location had, and so much more. But I was definitely disappointed when I got there to see everything very spread out and a lot of the local stuff seems to have been removed. And we’re at the old store. They had two or three options of different products. They’ve now removed everything and only have one product limiting a lot of choices that they had at the old location! And no refrigerated nondairy, creamers! I don’t understand how you have far more space and have what seems to be less product?

I went to the Grand Opening yesterday. Nice store except they don't have a coffee venue. I'm not sure how long that's going to last. I was told by an employee they had planned on putting one in and then changed their mind. Not sure what the rationale was.

This review pertians to the grocery pickup area only. The pick-up area has to be the worst of any retailer I have been to. It can only be accessed turning north from westbound Indian School Rd. One would think with a location that was built on an empty lot that more than one point of access would have been a consideration. To exit the pick-up area, you have to go through the parking lot to be able to get back on Indian School.Pickup was ready on time and associate was friendly.

Super new store, huge store, and great options to buy. It is like a Super walmart except a whole foods. Use your Amazon prime account and get discounts, just go to in store code on your app and scan at checkout. Also return amazon things here too.

The workers are so stuck up, righteous, hipsters who think they own the world. They need to get off their high horse and remember they work at whole foods not Neiman Marcus.Ever since they moved their fresh food quality and cheese selection has gone down hill. It's Walmart quality now. What the heck?

Pro: excellent selection of quality products. Helpful and friendly staff. Fresh produce. Even though it was busy, I didn’t have to wait more than a minute before out.Con: very pricey compared to lower-tier retailers like Walmart. But hey, that’s to be expected.

Has a great variety of fresh and organic products and there is a large diversity of foods to try. It is all more expensive than an average grocery store but if you have prime membership, there are discounts to be had that can save some money. The parking lot is terribly designed and if it's busy it can be a nightmare to get through. Staff were friendly and professional and helped with all my needs.
