I have only been living in this area for 3 months and trying to find my grocery store has been a challenge. Visiting this store for only the second time turned out to be horrible! And the check out clerk was the reason. Her name is Lisa. On March 24th, 2024 at approximately 12:50 pm I was ready to purchase my groceries. Ended up getting over $200 in groceries mind you. When I pulled up to the check-out I asked bagger to try to fill the bags as much as possible. I bring in my own recycled bags. He loudly said “I will try to fill them up man” with a loud rude tone in his voice. As if it was an unreasonable request. Made me feel like I didn’t need to ask. The checker said later to him, “let me help you so you don’t have to hear it from her”. I said it was a simple request. And said he didn’t have to have a rude tone when I asked. She said I was being rude and not to speak to him like that. She said he is mentally slow. I said how was I to know and she said I was being rude. I told her that she didn’t need to be rude and condescending to me. She continued to be rude towards me and said I was being rude to him. I asked for her manager she said “I’m the manager. I said who’s your manager. She then said you have a nice day. I told her to have a nice day. She said I will now that you’re gone. As I was walking out she yelled at the security guard to “get her out of here “. I told her I will not be shopping here again and she said I don’t need your money! I expressed that to the security guard as I walked out of the store. I’ve never been treated that way before. Lisa is a nasty, rude, and disrespectful person and the wrong person to represent a community grocery store. She leaves a bad impression of that store.

I want to thank the front staff at this store so much because my boyfriend left his wallet at the counter, and the personel were honest and returned it to him. It's amazing how these emplyees protect their customer's well being. Thank you. Blessings for everyone!!!

Decent for grocery shopping! Bathrooms require pin to use. Clean store. Sell reusable bags. Good produce and floral sections. Several ongoing deals. Convenient location.

Went to Smith's today to get a couple items.As I walked in it smelled like I had walked into a restroom that was recently used. Then I was going to get some chicken but when I walked up to it it smelled like rotten poultry and then I saw a package of rotten chicken. The smell was so bad I was ready to vomit. I proceeded to get my other item and they were out of it. This store is ridiculously unsanitary and now I know why people are getting sick. Something needs to change before it gets worse.

This has to be the dirtiest store in Albuquerque (Coors & Central location). Do your self a favor and drive 10 more minutes to the Albertsons on montano. Much cleaner…

This Smiths has some new "Top Security Broad " short hair wishes she was a boy who harassed me for no reason. Followed me and asked if I smoked my vape in the store.. which I know better so I told her ,No of course not... Profiled me because of the tattoos Or maybe cause she was picked on in high school she has superior issues. Then straight lied and accused me of having stuff in my hands that disappeared... I showed her inside my purse , there was nothing. I don't steal. I shop there late night all the time. She didn't apologize and proceeded to kick me outta the store and embarrass me .. I hope this security wanna be cop somehow gets humiliated like she did to me ..

Horrible store, the baskets hardly roll, employees lie about produce signs. Emailed corporate to share my lousy customer experience due to employees not honoring signs in produce and employees altering posted signs, needless to say they never responded. Guess smiths and its managers don't care lol. Glad this isn't my usual shopping store, and after this...I'll AVOID smiths entirely. Employees are lazy and want to argue with customers about clearly posted signs. Smiths and its employees treat customers like trash, arguing, altering ad signs and LYING 🤥 to customers. Bad, DO BETTER SMITHS BECAUSE CUSTOMERS HAVE OTHER STORES TO SHOP AT, WHEN YOUR EMPLOYEES WANT TO BULLY CUSTOMERS AND LIE.*clearly lb was hand written after price was questioned. I'll NEVER shop at smiths again.

I checked my receipt and AGAIN I got overcharged on 2 of the 3 meat I purchased. It NEVER fails, I always have to get a refund and it's the waiting in line and it needs to stop.

Everything you need into one place, with great discounts on certain items weekly, with occasionally free food via coupons delivered to your account on line, like free peanut butter for such, only problem is you can not expect to go late at night and expect a live checkout counter where you have to checkout self so not a good place to shop late if you have disabilities.

This Smith's isn't as complete as the one near me. Barely any plant based meats and no plant based burritos. Very little in the way of helpful kitchen gadgets. If you want anything to measure liquids or solids you're set, but if you want a garlic press or or a pizza cutter forget about it. You won't find it here.

I've been going to this Smith's for 17 years now and everyone has always been so nice and helpful. I live across town, but I faithfully come to this Smith's. Unfortunately, on Dec 28th I had a terrible experience. Around 6:20 pm I went to register 4 and Savannah was the cashier. I waited my turn as she conversed with the customer before me, she seemed very nice as she handed him his receipt and told him to have a good night. My turn. She didn’t greet me, didn’t ask if I found everything ok, didn’t tell me my total, no interaction at all. Didn’t even make eye contact. None of that bothered me, but when I stuck my hand out to get my receipt, she went out of her way to avoid putting it in my hand and slammed it down so hard and gave me such a dirty look, I was confused as to why am I receiving such terrible customer service when the man before me didn’t. I knew the interaction was awkward because when she slammed it the man bagging gave her a weird look, looked at me for my reaction, smiled, and shrugged. I asked if everything was ok, and she just laughed at me. I continued to get my groceries so I can just go. I was absolutely appalled by her lack of professionalism, she made me feel so uncomfortable that I almost left some of my groceries. I honestly wanted to ask for a manager, but I didn’t have time. Today I do. So, unfortunately, my favorite grocery store is getting a bad review and I am leaving a customer complaint. If one employee has bad customer service like Savannah, then the whole staff does. Cashiers are the face of the company. You would think they’d train these kids better training and good customer service.

The "gluten free" section in the refrigerated bakery is mis-labeled. Everything stocked there contains wheat and is unsafe for people with celiacs or gluten intolerance. This is unacceptable and negligent on their part. They cannot just label whatever they want "gluten free" and call it a day. These are people's lives that can be affected, not just a fad diet.

DON’T BUY GIFT CARDS HERE!!! We bought a $100 gift card and when we tried to activate it two hours later it was already activated and purchases made. It’s a scam, but customer service was not interested in figuring out how that happened. I understand that purchases are final, but wouldn’t they want to figure out how this is happening at their store.We did get some satisfaction from MasterCard, but what a hassle. What if we had sent that gift card to someone?!

Hate that a candy machine is right in the exit where people hang out by the door putting children in danger plus it backs up people wanting to exit the store.

The Store is always a mess, none of the employees know where any groceries are located and the worst part was we walked in and the front entry and smelled like sewer gas the whole time. Kudos to the self checkout customer he was very helpful.

My husband and I went to buy alcohol there. We have many times before , they refused to sell us alcohol this time ( from a short white women wearing a face mask ) claiming due to our Florida license? She had a horrible attitude and we were so confused as to why our Florida state license wouldn’t work here but it has many times before and other stores . It’s not out faults we’re not from this state and have a different looking license. Ridiculous store. Will rather drive the extra 10 min to Albertsons .

I've usually had a pleasant experience shopping here, but the last couple of times have been stressful. I understand that now during the pandemic, services and operations are a little strained. I understand staffing and low employment, but it seems, at least in the evening hours, many of the cashiers/attendants are chuckling it up more than helping. Self-checkout is the only thing open, even as early as 7pm, with lines backed up pretty far. It just seems like we, the customers, are having to fend for ourselves. Might have to start shopping at Wal-mart for awhile.
