This is one of Smith's Flagship stores but it looks like that ship has sailed and the flag is tattered. I have been coming to this store for years and see the steady decline in this store. Items out of stock, especially featured items. Shelves are often empty or not stocked. Employees aren't friendly or willing to help. Prices often ring up more than advertised price. Quality of products has declined, especially the fresher than fresher produce that you advertise. It is far from fresh, more like over ripe. Products are often out of date and I often don't realize it until I get home. Store often smells fishy and isn't appealing for someone shopping. Products aren't rotated in store. Newer items are in front of older dated items. I have brought my concerns numerous times to management but has fallen in deaf ears. People often shop here because of location. I know that this store is convenient and in close proximity to where I live. I often have to go to Whole Foods and pay more to get what I want.SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE THIS STORE WHAT IT USE TO BE WHEN KARINA WAS THE MANAGER

I appreciate having a register for liquor but to make me wait in a line 15 people deep when I have a ton of other shopping to do is the reason I will forever go to total wine and Costco. Not only cheaper but they don’t make me pay twice. The checkout lady also has some complex with giving bags or maybe she doesn’t like bagging for people. Not sure what her problem is but they need a better solution for this department if they want my business.

I usually have good experiences at Smith's, I went through self checkout, it was around rush hour time... there was people all around us but the lady would not take her eyes off me. Yall need to train better!!! One of these days someone is gonna catch someone on the wrong day.

Decent grocery store- plenty of good choices, clean, seems organized well. Not too many available employees to assist, but a few talked together in clusters🤷🏼‍♀️Prices were competitive, better than Whole Foods, more than Walmart.

I let this go multiple times, but tonight was enough. Self checkout staff will be standing behind you hovering, watching every thing you do. Not friendly or helpful. I forgot my smith’s card so I was looking for mom’s alternate id for the savings and the person did not offer to help or scan which they have in the past. Instead they stood over treating you like a thief. Just staring. Last time I was here they were accusing someone else of stealing sushi and turns out the person didn’t steal they always have attitude. I’m tired of it. I get that you need to be observant but acting like we’re all stealing is so off putting when just tying to get some freaking cat food at the end of the night. -_-

My family have been customers of Kroger and Smiths sense 2004 I even used to work here in high school then again at the Tramway location in 2008. As of Friday February 23 2024 we stopped shopping at Smiths because of Johanna in the liquor departments condescending and belittling tone of voice while ordering me to pay for the beer I wanted to buy at the 20 people line in the liquor department. I wasn't done shopping and had a cart full of groceries. The self check out have there alcohol certification why are we forced to buy alcohol in the liquor department when the rest of the check outs are not busy and fully capable of checking out groceries? We are all Tired of the disrespectful attitudes and profiling of every other sarcastic and salty employee of the Carlisle Smiths.The Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market was much more convenient and cheaper prices then Smiths the Walmart employees are actually helpful there.

If you are purchasing alcohol and groceries they make you wait in line to pay for your alcohol separately before buying your groceries! Joanne also never want to give you bags for your glass bottles of alcohol. We always have to go to self checkout just to get bags for the alcohol we already purchased from her. Power trip?!Love having to wait in two separate lines for alcohol and groceries! Stupid!!!

I was promised a call back from corporate within 24 hours about the incident Thursday night. It’s now Saturday morning & no call. Way to go Smith’s. After 15 years of shopping there I’ll spend my money elsewhere. My wife & I we’re accused of stealing flowers by the nasty employee with tattoos all over her arms & the Barney Fife security guard that doesn’t know how to park & doesn’t get the handicapped parking spots!

Rat ProblemI’ve been shopping at this Smith since it was a Furrs. When I reached down for cookies I found a rat eaten cookie and rat droppings! Shame on you Smiths!! I hope someone from corporate see this ASAP and has the store closed immediately for fumigation and throws away all products sitting on the shelves currently!

I have never been to a Smith's grocery store that was is as poorly stocked as this one is. On my previous visits I gave it the benefit of doubt...maybe it was just an off day/week but after several visits with the same issues I realized this store is just very poorly managed compared to other Smiths in Albuquerque. The store also just feels more run down maybe not as clean as the other Smiths. If given a choice I would not visit this particular store again.

The machine they use to clean the floors Is as loud as a jet airplane ✈️ and it creates the most horrifying shopping experience. I will never shop at Smiths again.

Mid range prices, decent selection., Often crowded at prime hours. Save money using weekly sales. Signing up for a free membership card accesses even more sales and earns points for gasoline purchases.

Decent Store with Plenty to find but strict security standards in my opinion. They get overly suspicious of people which is quite odd. Keep eyeing us up like we were gonna steal from their business.

I used to like shopping here. I would shop here about 2 to 3 times a week. Now I try to avoid it. Poppy and Jacob I love. Employees are always openly talking bad about customers and other coworkers. There is the one cashier that’s so loud and rude to me. If I remember her name I’ll come back and update this review.

Pretty rundown grocery store. Check time stamps carefully because they routinely stock items on the verge of being old. But the biggest problem is the staff, and especially one. This cashier is loud and rude. And deliberately has embarrassed me publicly at checkout. Wrote to Smiths but of course, they don’t care.I’ll always go somewhere else if possible. Too bad as it’s right around the corner from my home.

There is woman there covered from head to toe in tattoos that works the customer service booth who is a, terrible and horrible person. Don’t shop at Smith’s located at Montgomery and Louisiana NE. Unless of course being treated like dooky is your thing.Everyone there is rude and deliberate. Especially the one I told you about. Maybe she got hired right out of a woman’s prison? We’ll take our business elsewhere!

I have to say when I went to pick up my groceries yesterday the the young man helped me seem to be a good guy. I had one thing in my order that is wrong that i need. I've been calling to see if they're willing replace it, but now I can't get a single person to answer in the entire store after 6 calls. I finally got one customer service person, and she transferred me to the order person and forget it... I realize they get busy but I need to figure out whether I need to drive back over there. I am sick or I would go to store myself. It's part of customer service to be able to reach at least one person on the phone.

Overall it’s overpriced and half the employees are unfriendly and one security guard in particular likes to take out his frustrations on customers. I’ve seen him attempt to humiliate several customers. He’s followed me through the store on more than one occasion and when I told him I don’t need him to make me uncomfortable while I’m shopping he told me I could leave if I don’t like it. I’ve been shopping at smiths for over 20 years to be told that by a person like him was well disappointing. It’s the closer store to me and for now I continue to shop here. Hopefully for not much longer though. As for the self checkout they can flush it. I already bring in my cart now I have to check my groceries out next they’ll have me stocking the shelves so I can have the privilege of shopping at their store. There’s a few friendly faces an occasional good deal but overall ugh. Thanks.

I'm giving them a 5 Star ✨ for their pick up service. It was so convenient and reliable. The last time I was in Smiths they didn't have enough bags. So I decided to try the pickup method. I placed my order online and it was ready in a few hours. The employee who brought out my order was professional and friendly. I would recommend this method if you have time to go online to avoid the crowds and shopping cart and bags issues. Not sure what's going on with the bags but other retailers are facing the same issues.

If you are in need of a regular grocery store with a hometown feel this store is a great choice. The management has cultivated a friendly knowledgeable staff that remembers you and prioritizes hospitality. This store covers most of your needs but isn’t big enough to be able to stock too many premium or variant/obscure items.

After having bad experiences with the Smith's on Louisiana and Montgomery, I've swore I never shop at Smith's again. One day I was in the area and noticed this Smith's and I actually needed a couple things so I gave it a try. I'm glad I did! This store is well organized, clean, and actually has fresh produce! The layout of the aisles are well organized! Plus they have cashiers ready to check people out in addition to two well organized self service checkouts. The staff actually greets you whenever they pass you, whether in an aisle, produce, self service etc. I do want to recognize an employee her name is Jahailah, who was usually at the checkouts! She carries herself with pride and in a professional manner and makes going in to shop a pleasure! Actually, the last time I was shopping there Jahailah was working, and she gleamed sharing that she recently received a promotion to manager!! This is awesome! I love the fact they promote from within and it's even another plus, to see this Smith's store clearly recognizes talent! With Jahailah as part of the management team, this Smith's can only get even better!!!
