This place takes me back to the heyday of reptiles back in the 90s. The fact that it’s near the old Subterranean Jungle just feels right.Very knowledgeable and eager to educate. All the animals observed were well cared for and in excellent condition. Give your business to small, expert shops like this. The knowledge and service are worth passing by the national chains for.

I came in completely new to reptile ownership, and I think his name was Dillion or Dave, was so kind and really great at explaining things I didn’t know to me. I really appreciated all the suggestions and explanations. He never made me feel dumb or uneducated, but happy to teach me what I needed to learn. He even gave me a care sheet in case I needed any reminders or forgot any details. You can tell the shop cares for their customers and their pets rather than just seeing them as a sell. I will definitely be coming here in the future for all my future reptile needs!

This place is absolutely rad. I went here to see about live feeders for my ball python and I'm impressed with the prices of both live and frozen. I've already recommended it to my snake parent friends due to the prices!Beautiful creatures all taken care of very well. I can't wait to purchase a pet from them some day! Also... their plant collection is amazing!

My favorite local store to get all my feeders and other items needed for my tarantula. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff/employees always make you feel welcomed. They have a great selection to choose from and if they don't have something they can help you find what you are looking for. Great location of central as well, so it's pretty easy to find. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Great place to buy interesting pets. They are so helpful and have great customer service! Dylan kept in contact with me and answered all my questions before I made my purchase. I’m so happy this place exists! I was able to have my snake’s frozen mice weighed for me to confirm they were the size I needed, which I have never gotten to do before purchase.Moving from Houston, home of The Bio Dude point of sale, I lost in-person access to updated care and supplies for the sensitive creatures P&P also focuses on. As much as Clark’s is a valuable part of the exotic pet community in ABQ, they cast a wide net and don’t always hit the mark, especially for reptiles.All P&P’s animals are obviously well cared for not just physically but also in that each one is valued, from a thumbtack sized mantis to their most intelligent lizard in the largest enclosure.This shop is clearly ran BY keepers FOR keepers, carrying some of the latest high quality brands instead of simply the ‘most recognized.’ I will be spending a lot of money and time here!

This is such a wonderful shop! I was able to use my wheelchair and get through the entire store. They have such wonderful animals in amazing enclosures! They have everything you need for setting up good enclosures, including bioactive ones!! Everyone was so kind and helpful! They are very knowledgeable about all their exotics! This is the best pet shop I have been to. All their animals were so happy and healthy! They let us see and hold some amazing animals that I hope to someday keep. I will get all of my pet supplies from them from now on!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this place and the owner. I have purchased 4 arachnids from here and am excited to build on my hobby, only coming to this store. You can get lost in all the beautiful animals here and any question you ask, you will get a knowledgeable answer. Prices are very reasonable and “freebies” are offered. I look forward to every visit. Highly recommend checking him out before even considering a big box pet store, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

The only place in town I buy my feeders and other supplies! Dylan is turning this little shop into something amazing. It has grown a lot since I first started coming in, and I love seeing how things change as time goes on. All the creatures are immaculately kept, and all the supplies for you to follow suit are available in the store. Thank you for letting me wander around and admire the beauty of both the tanks and the beings inside them when I buy feeders. Any review less than 5 stars is either misinformed or jealous that this place tries so hard to be ethical and treat all of the creatures with kindness and compassion!

Got this baby for a steal! This store is well maintained and has knowledgeable owners. Great selection so far of tarantulas, scorpions, BPs, and pac-man frogs (amongst several other critters). Not to mention the cute chameleon they have in there. Can't wait to see their selection expand even further later on down the road.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! These guys own a fantastic store and are some of the most friendly and knowledgeable staff I’ve ever dealt with. My fiancée and I recently got a baby leopard gecko and wanted to get a better setup for him. These guys were such a fantastic help with getting him in a bio active enclosure, they had everything we needed from very reputable brands and all at a great price.Just the knowledge these guys have makes it worth the drive from across town. We’ve been coming every week since and they’ve had everything we needed and answered any and all questions we have.Thank you guys again!

I love getting crickets for my bearded dragon from them :) the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of exotics to choose from and look at. I’ll always come back here for crickets, supplies and maybe a ball python someday!They also have other insects besides crickets you can buy to feed your reptiles and/or exotic pets. Huge selection of invertebrates and a decent selection of reptiles. Young guy owns the shop and seems like he really has the knowledge on his animals. They also have a full selection of frozen and live feeder mice, rats, and feeder invertebrates. Owner and the employee I spoke to also had good info on bioactive enclosures!

I watched this place start from one rack with nothing on it, to having almost everything that I use and can only find online. Most of the animals are in bio active enclosures and have better lives than big box stores. If you care for your animals this is the place to go for higher end products that you can only buy online or here. Prices are competitive, buy unless you have time to go to a reptile expo this is the next best place. 5/5 stars.

Please support this place. They are the absolute best for arthropods in town. The owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They also do an excellent job for reptile and amphibian needs. There is a wide range of feeders for all animals as well. Again, I cannot recommend them enough.

Truly astonishing and hard to believe this place even exists but it does. It's real and anyone who's like me (reptile or spider lover) needs to check this place out. The Albuquerque/ New Mexico area has been lacking for a long time considering we're one of the only states that doesn't get reptile expos. This place truly is a dream come true and doesn't overprice all its animals like other "local places" in this area. I purchased an Antilles Pinktoe, and a beautiful Ghost Praying Mantis. Of course it also amazed me there was exotic mantis species here, but with this purchase I got a free Texas Brown. Just like sites such as Fear Not Tarantulas freebies are offered. They also have a website that shows all they have to offer, I'm in love and very thankful for my animals.

Fantastic! Dylan is super helpful! Great place for dubias, crickets, isopods, springtails etc! I’ve also purchased beetles, millipedes, and a leopard gecko from them. Reasonable prices and healthy animals! Good selection of substrate, cork bark, and plants too!

This place is great if you’re looking for reptiles, or arthropods (no dogs/cats as the name suggests)! It was clean, and all the enclosures looked very nice. The guy working there was super friendly, and got out any animal we were interested in (even if we weren’t going to buy it). He was also very respectful, I had my 8 year old daughter and wife with me and he asked both of them “would you like to hold it?” Before he approached them. Anything they were even mildly afraid of, he kept away or put away. At the same time, he acted like he had endless time to discuss everything, explained answers to every question and was very accommodating. If you’re looking for any exotic type pets, I would try this spot first!

Great little exotic pet shop! Nice selection of tarantulas Just picked up a GBB sling, the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Full selection of feeder bugs, also turtles, lizards, and supplies. Will definitely be back!
