This morning I woke up and realized my dog, was in need of a groomer. I looked up groomers and starting calling in order that they were listed. The first one was retiring and no longer taking appointments, next one no appointments till next week. Finally I came across Pets R Us ABQ. I was thrilled when they said that they could take me today!Their facilities are very modest, and they were working on a couple of dogs when I arrived. The dogs looked happy.The staff were very professional groomers, my dog was, trimmed, clipped, bathed ,dried and nails trimmed. They cleaned his eyes and ears.They cut his his hair exactly as I requested.The whole process took about 3.hrsWhen I got back my dog was very happy. He looked great. I was very please with the services that my dog got. Cesar one the groomer did an awesome. He was very professional. Toby left the premises with a nice bandana, he is looking super good.Next time my dog needs a little maintenance this is where I will be bringing him. After calling around for an appointment I did ask about prices and Pets R Us ABQ price was affordable.If you are in need of a groomer, give them an opportunity to provide you with their services.Woof, Woof

I never really had any complaints about this place I took my samoyed 3 times and would leave him like the first picture which I truly loved their job, today was an extremely sad day for me they COMPLETELY shaved my samoyed ! Lady said she has been expirence for 50 years she should know not to shave samoyed’s hair. My dog was there from 8:30 AM to 6 PM ! they gave him no water and was really stressed out. Poor customer service after wanting a discount lady gave me attitude. Would not recommend.

This place is absolutely amazing!! We were just passing through and Alex took us in w no problem at all. I honestly don't remember the last time our little pekingnese was groomed w such precision and meticulousness. We highly recommend this place and wish that they were our normal groomers. Thank you very much Alex you made our day!!😁

I was on the road on our motorhome and could not stand one more day with our skanky Aussie. Dirty campgrounds and many weeks on the road had contributed to making him a mess. I called and was able to get an appointment the next morning. Almost a week after his grooming we are marveling at how great he looks and how wonderful his coat feels. His coat used to be dry and rough and now he is soft. Thanks for doing such a great job!

TERRIBLE SERVICE: My grandma had taken her dog (shitzu) at 8am. She wanted them to clean the dog and cut his hair, she went to pick him up at 11am. My grandmas dog was the same when she picked him up he didn’t get a haircut and the hair in his face was uneven and they didn’t care you can tell they didn’t even brush his hair and he has something white on his hair very disappointed I don’t recommend this place. You can tell that the girls that where there don’t have experience. The only reason why I put one star was because I had to, to be able to make a review. Definitely don’t recommend!!!!!

Been going here for 10+ years. Alex the owner needs to take a good look at his employees. We were given a total price of services. Then when we checked the transaction with the bank. There was a huge increase in the price we were given verbally. The person running Pets R Us on Coors is very unpleasant & Unprofessional. It's too bad we can no longer trust them. And have to go else where! I called on 3/11/23 (Sat) @ 3:45pm She was very rude , yelling, not caring at all about their prior mistake. Yvette S.

This is the 4th time I’ve brought my dog here and it will be the last! The first 3 times were great, this review would have been a great one if this time was like the last 3. Today we had an appointment at 2:00 for a bath for my dog and a full cut and bath for my mothers dog. It is now 8pm and we’re still waiting for our dogs to be ready. I can understand waiting a couple of hours, even three hours but 6 hours….NO!!!!!!! You all need to be better at time management…my dog hasn’t had dinner(that’s usually at 6:30) and he has huge separation anxiety. This is bad business…fix it!!!!!

Took my dog for a grooming and when I called to make the appointment they said he would be bathed as well. When I picked my dog up he looked EXACTLY the same and I was still charged full price. When I got home my dog still had yellow on his fur from where he urinates (reason I took him to get groomed) and can tell he was not bathed properly (maybe with a spray bottle and combed) this is the 2nd time I’ve taken him to this place and both times have been a disaster so I thought I’d write a review this time to spare someone the time and money. I would not suggest this place to get your fur baby clipped. It’s a waste of time and money.UPDATE - the owner called me back a sun made things right. Also took ownership for what his staff did or didn’t do. Thank you for at least having consideration for my review.

Well I showed up at 9am for my appointment.... nobody to be found... me and 2 other customers waited 30 minutes for an employee to arrive. no excuses why they were late and didn't seem too concerned that they were late. 3 hours later and I got her back. Definitely not happy with the cut all.... shorter then I asked for. So $50 + tax and $5 tip they didn't deserve. I will not be going back. And I encourage you to not waste your time here.8.27.21- Yes I had an awful experience.But with in 1 hour of my review the owner, Jessica, personally called me to help resolve the issue. She is a local businesses and wants happy clients. She refunded my money and offered to to the grooming herself next time. now thats what I call good business and a great owner. Even though I had terrible service What the owner did definitely changed my mind. I will give another try

They don't even deserve a star. The lady who has more than 50 years of experience does not know how to treat animals, they took around 5 hours to give me my puppy. My puppy was mistreated, he suffered from strangulation or was submerged in water and I had to take him to the vet because one of his lungs was not working. The cost was almost 2,000 dollars. but my puppy looks very scared. I hope that this will help you to be careful with your animals so as not to take them to this place. the owner was very kind in paying the total of the veterinary bill but the lady has no knowledge of her work. animal abuse should not be allowed

Took my dog here at 11am with an appointment and got there at 4 because that was the time they said she was gonna be ready, but after I arrived they said to come back in another hour so before I left my house at 5pm I called and still she was not ready and I was told it would be another hour. The man on the phone was so generous and offered me a discount at $45 for the extensive time it took to groom my poodle, I said it was fine and finally picked her up at 6pm. As soon as I arrived the older worker tried to charge me $60 and was angry that I had even received a discount. Will not be taking my dog here again due to the long wait time and rude groomer.

My poor baby was handled roughly. Not only did they mess up his tail. Cause I asked them not to because it is beautiful and hasn't been touched un 5 years. His poor private parts were red and had scabs from the razors they used. Yall wrong for that. Plus I tried contacting their "manager" and didn't hear a thing. Yall did my baby dirty.

Terrible customer service!!! Made an appointment to have my dog groomed, gave a full description of my dog over the phone, who has been here once previously and was given a price. When I got to the shop, who I assume was a groomer then told me she would not touch my dog for less than $25 more than what I was already told the cost would be. Was then told another groomer there would do it cheaper than her but still more than what I was originally told when I made the appointment and charged before. Asked to speak to a manager, who was supposedly the same person that would groom my dog for less $ than her. He told her over the phone he would do it for $10 more than what I was originally told, and when he got to the shop minutes later he said he would only do it for $20 more and argued with me when I said I had been there before. He also said he thought my Aussie was a standard size, which he clearly is, very scary that a person who deals with dogs all day would not know. Not only did I waste the time I had to spend taking off of work getting to this appointment, my dog did not get groomed. Terrible, terrible, terrible not worthy of any star rating!!! Would not recommend to anyone

I made an appt for my 2 yr old Shih-tzu at 1:00 pm. They said "give us couple of hours, we're pretty busy."I was sure.5:30 pm I was calling to check status, they told me they needed another hour.I made my way over about 6:20 PM because I live on the opposite side of town. I get there and ask if she's almost ready?They told me about another 40 minutes.I told them, you know it's ok, she's been here for quite some time, she's probably hungry and thirsty. I don't know if they're given water while in the crate waiting to be groomed. I didn't ask. They give her to me, and NOT A THING had been done, she hadn't even been bathed. I was furious. Never going back there again. That is just plain ridiculous. I understand overbooking, in case someone cancels, but dogs shouldn't have to kept on a kennel that long, for nothing. 🤬🤬

I called at 9am and they were able to take my poodle the same day. He was tangled up and had hair everywhere. He has never been away from home and was very scared but Alex did so good with him. He was happy as ever when i picked him up and didn't seem scared at all. I highly recommend this place. Thank you alex! Did I mention how cute my dogs hair looked ❤❤🐶 I'd give it a 10 out of 10!!

Puppy testes positive for Parvo! They did not have any concerns. Did not have any paperwork to fill out for new pups. Had my puppy there for 4/5 hours for a bath and brush. Called me within the 4 hours telling me to pick up my puppy which was not mine. Very disorganized. Don’t not recommend!

I took my Husky for a groom and deshading treatment. After keeping my dog for 8 hours when we picked him up my Husky look so bad. Literally i don't understand why they kept him so many hours when they gave it to me exactly the way he looked when I dropped him off. When I called to complain about the pour job they did on my dog, the lady got defensive and tried to argued back.. finally she transfered the phone to the person "who worked on my dog and he did apologize for the misunderstanding and offered discount for the next time but there is no way I would take my dog back to them. My Advice for not take your dogs here.

Nice staff and they seem to really care about the wellbeing of your pup! They did a great job on my small maltese/dachsund mix and it was much cheaper than other places.Edit: I took my pup here recently for an appointment. Come to find out that most of the staff quit! Only one groomer now. Had an appointment for noon, my pup still wasn't even started at 4pm! Had to take him unfinished because I had to go to work.

This is the second time I bring my wife's Yorkie here. They do an amazing job and the price is reasonable for the awesome work they do. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to groom their dog. I took my dog to PetSmart at one time and they traumatized her and she wasn't the same for a few weeks. When I picked up my dog to PetSmart R Us, she was happy and ready to come home.

My dog was so dirty and shedding so much. When I got her back she was really soft and I could pet her with no hair falling out. She was very happy after and she usually has a hard time at the groomers. They also put a bandana on her which I thought was a nice touch. Definitely recommend them!

Took my Husky there for grooming and I have to say the service was great! Not only was the groom at a really great price, but the love and attention they showed my best friend was superb and not to mention timely. I have recommended all my friends with pets to give this place a go and I also recommend to anyone looking for a great grooming experience for your pets.

DO NOT take your pets here! If you care for the well being of your animal, you will take them elsewhere ASAP! Horrible experience, my poor dog’s eyeballs were completely swollen and red. I asked the staff the heck happened to my dog’s eyes, completely dismissed it. I spent two days driving and calling for vets to see her. NEVER coming back here again.
