This review is for Petco grooming. I have been taking my dog, Jenny, to Jessica since moving to Albuquerque. She always does a wonderful job. Jenny isn't the easiest dog to groom either. She's stubborn, she doesn't like her feet touched and she likes to turn in circles when she's getting brushed. Did I mention Jenny is over 90 lbs? All I can say is Jenny loves Jessica and she is always excited to go in for her grooming. She even lets Jessica cut her nails.

Usually we have no issues with this store. However we recently bought a bag of Wholehearted Active Performance Chicken and Rice dog food. Our GSD refused to eat it, even though he usually loves it. We did some research and found a review on the Petco app that said her dog wouldn't eat it because her bag was expired. We checked our bag immediately and discovered the bag had a expiration date of December 12 of 2021! A bag of two year old dog food sold on the selves of this Petco store. The food from this bag was also pale in color which we originally thought the brand had changed the recipe. We will be going first thing in the morning to the store. It's crazy that Petco clearly does not care to ensure quality and not expired product is being sold.

They don’t allow customers to use the restrooms. Paying customers. They also won’t even allow a 4 year old to use the restroom. Instead you have to literally leave the whole store to go find a bathroom. And the manager will be rude when you ask about it. Telling a 4 year old no to a restroom is so disgusting. I don’t care if it’s “policy” SHES 4 and can’t hold it like an adult.

I arrived at 7:30 pm and went straight to fish and an associate was helping another customer. I waited for 17 minutes (3 other employees are in the store and zero customers but they couldn’t be bothered to help let alone acknowledge your existence and one finally appears and tells me I can’t buy any fish after 7:45pm. !!??!! I just purchased a membership here 4 days ago. I will be cancelling that and NEVER set foot in here again. Four employees NEVER greeted me nor asked if I needed help. Easiest job on the planet cuz there were no customers it’s always dead and they run off business! 👏

Sam has been awesome with my son in helping get all of the necessary accessories for his new fish tanks. He provided insight as to what fish live well with the others. We will not shop anywhere else for his aquarium items or fish.

This is the only place I'll shop for stuff for my snake. Petsmart damn near killed it by setting me up with an enclosure that was completely wrong. Went to petco and explained my setup, knowing full well it was wrong, and they were happy to set me up with a much better enclosure that actually costs less. Props to this petco, their staff actually cares and they know what they're doing!

This location has no care for the environment and the space behind its store. A local group regularly cleans the back lot FOR THEM and there are SO MANY fancy feast containers, bags twisted around plants, hard plastic dog supplements cracking in the sand from how long they've been there tossed out. This is embarrassing.They're aware of the issue as of last month and nothing has changed. They continue to let their dumpster fly out and damage the lot.

Petco is my favorite place, PetSmart who? My puppy ended up in the urgent care with PetSmart and that's not the only issue and I'm not a person to complain, so I went back and after 3 mistakes, I gave up Petco took care of my puppy and she looks so cute, I'm a happy mama. You go Petco!

Typical chain store. It was clean and employees were friendly. Prices were average to a little bit high but nothing outrageous. They do have some variety that is different from petsmart.

This is how they are treating the ball pythons they own. Sad. Very Very Very low humidity as well as the substrate. It’s not a corn or milk snake? Every other animal is sitting on either dirt bed that’s more moist or the woodchip chunks like they’re suppose to be sitting on. Ever heard dont buy a snake from the pet shop? This is your reason. In the photos you can clearly see they’re both horribly stuck in a shed. Pieces flaking off. It’s like every other animal in the store is known how to be taken care of. 😐

Purchased 30 comet gold fish. While prepping their new home 10 died while still in the bag. Called and spoke to a representative and explained the situation and asked if I could exchange the dead fish for live fish. The rep stated there’s no guarantee on those fish as they are “feeder fish” and they have a 30 day guarantee but not for those fish. Makes no common sense but lesson learned and they will no longer have my business. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. This is the Albuquerque location on Coors by pass next to staples

The person that helped me went out of her way to show me the various foods for my dog. She was very helpful, not pushy; she was very knowledgeable and shared many options and valuable information. I will definitely be making PETCO my favorite for anything for my dog.

Called to check if an item was in stock. The manger kindly checked for me, and took it to register, since it was last one on shelf, to be held at my request until I could pick it up later that day. Great service and very friendly cashier.

Allison M. did such a great job with my schnauzer baby Zeus. He went in to be groomed, his haircut looks amazing and when I picked him up he didn't look stressed out. Allison was super friendly and professional and did a great job with Zeus. Also, the lady who checked us out was also really friendly. I love this Petco everybody is always so awesome here!!

The marine fish aquariums are a complete travesty. The fish in them are in there dying to preventable issues and you had 3 tanks totally covered in red cyanobacteria. As well as other things showing extreme neglect. I have little doubt you folks kill more fish and invertebrates than you sell. Shop for marine fish here at your own risk.Edit: I've been back and the tanks are still awful. I've now included a picture of one of their tanks and the poor fish in it having to breath red slime. Shame on you Petco.

He was genuinely interested in helping me with my question to better care for the pet that's now in my care.Being a new reptile caretaker, there are a million different things on the internet but Mr. Kenny is like Mr. Google himself providing me with tons of information that I didn't know was important that I had honestly overlooked.Hopefully this post reaches the right person bc I honestly believe Mr. Kenny deserves a raise or a promotion or even recognition for his positive attitude and knowledge. I believe he would be a great manager. Whether it's him dealing with custom directly or training new employees to emulate his demeanorFor any customers that have a pet question I recommend talking with Mr Kenny⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve been going to this location for many years. I used to work with Bailey in the fish area and now it’s a guy with glasses and longish hair. Last night he was being a D!€* and when I said I wanted specific fish his remark was “oh so we’re getting specifics okay” then stormed off. I don’t like dealing with him at all and he always has a bad attitude. When asking him questions he is always in a rush like he has a million other things to do.

No public bathroom. I don't necessarily blame Petco. I know this is due to the high crime in the area, but this was a huge inconvenience I had to pack my dog back into my truck and drive to Lowe's just to use the bathroom.
