Positive, prompt, professional, and pleasant service overall! Time slipped away as I intended to write this review much earlier. Several months ago in 2023, I took my car to this location to get the brake lights replaced. I brought the parts in for the technician who worked diligently to replace both lights in an expedient manner. I did not wait very long even though it appeared to be busy. The technician answered all my questions and never seemed to show that as a customer I was imposing on his time. Like a guardian angel, this location has your back and they seem to care. The storefront representative or manager at the time was also helpful and courteous. He went the extra mile to not even charge for the labor installation of the bulbs, which saved me at least $10 to $15 dollars that day! They have a pep in their step (and I guess that's why they're called PEP BOYS) in the customer's favor or best interests even when we may not always be worthy of it. That's true grace. They are also knowledgeable about cars. Five-plus stars!!

I got a flat tire and I was in a panic because when I got home I heard it leaking! I called up Pet Boys and lucky they had my tire in stock. Aaron Arnold is the mgr and is definitely a professional. He inspected my car to check for other issues and he explained everything to me. Not only that he continued to finish the work and I felt bad because it was past closing time. They now have a new customer for all my automotive needs! Great Job I appreciate you!

I suggest not bringing your car to a Pep Boys I brought my car to Pep Boys To have some tie rods done was told that it would be fixed that day then got a call saying they would have to order the part from the Ford dealership Do that the part had set at the Ford dealership for two days before they went to pick it up Not that I got my car back, and it was in worse condition than I brought it to the shop in They were supposed to do an alignment they did not do the facility, unprofessional and untimely after filing a complaint with corporate, and confirming with one of the employees there, I was told that the black Friday customers came first before me, even though I had an appointment and brought it in before Black Friday On December 27 I had an appointment scheduled For almost a week, I arrived for my appointment at the Pep BoysOn Montaño and Coors, the appointment was scheduled for 11 o’clock I was told that they had just brought a vehicle in for an alignment a few minutes before I had got there And that it would be a while before they could get to meThe boys are untimely unprofessional, worst mechanic shop ever I do not suggest bringing your car. That place is trustworthy in everything. Jiffy Lube gave me a negative result that I need to pay for repair so I came to this store to repair everything. Aaron said it was normal and not a serious problem. I guess Jiffy Lube's mechanic lied to me. I will be coming back immediately for an oil change and front tires

We had a screw in our car's tire that was pretty quickly draining air, so I took it in for a tire repair. Did not have an appointment, but they were able to squeeze me in and help out fairly quickly. Tire is doing great so far. Everyone I interacted with was nice and professional. Would recommend!

Very nice staff. I called earlier in the day and an employee picked up the phone in 2 rings and answered my questions quickly. I stopped by the store later that day, and in a short amount of time I was able to turn in a defective batter and received a new battery with a new warranty.

Great customer service and support. I went in on Friday for a vehicle inspection without an appointment.. They were busy but they took care of me and I was out of there in less than 30 minutes. Thanks to Julio and Vincent who were totally professional. The service they offered is why I’ll go back to Pepboys on Central ave.

I can't begin to tell you have grateful and thankful of the service they provided for me this past Saturday. My front brakes were completely out and I took my car somewhere else before and that place told me Monday they will be able to fix it and I didn't have until Monday. I came to Pepboys and spoke to Zeke and he told me they could. No story short. They even stayed later for me to get my car fix. I will highly recommend you come see them as well for any repairs and they'll take a great care of you. Thank you to all the staff who stayed in order for my car to be done especially at Mr. Erick and Mr. Zeke you so much I really appreciate you both.

We were on a summer vacation road trip and had battery cable issues and needed to get on the road to Flagstaff as soon as possible. Aaron and his crew fit us in on a Sunday and got us back up and on the road in no time. Incredible service for them to go out of their way on a Sunday which ensured our trip continued without interruption. Thank you all again for your help! Would highly recommend them.

Poor place to come here for work on your car i would never come here again the person thats here today have a nasty attitude and he lucky my daughter was with me. Very racist and would love to speak with his manager for sure. Crazy thing rent a wheel does business with these guys and this is the only location that can do a wheel alignment on 22 inch rims. I really hop rent a wheel change and get a better service place cause pep boys is trash

Ran over a bolt on a Sunday afternoon and was able to to make an appointment less than 2 hours from finding the bolt. Very professional and courteous. Less than an hour to get it fixed. Shop runs very efficiently. They even moved a tool box for my son to see them work on the car. I'll be back if or when I have more tire needs.

Aaron, Riley and Zeke treated me really well. The prices even before the military discount were much better than Firestone. I definitely recommend them. Central Ave is a bit sad though. Prepare yourself if you're going; you'll see some heartbreaking things.

Twice their air condition service tech was not there to do the work. Twice, no one bothered to call me before I drove in for the appointment. They knew what part was needed and didn’t bother to get it. They told me to call another shop but refused to help me set up an appointment at another Pepboys. It appears the shop is run by adolescents, not adult workers.

I am a uber lyft and Doordarsh driver I always go to this pep boys and they are always courteous and friendly also for example I needed an inspection done for my driveing job and with out it I cannot work they were fantastic they got me in right away even though they were super busy got done quick and they were fair on the price these guys are the best can't go wrong with this location centrally located by San Mateo and central

I was late for my 6:30pm appointment knowing they close at 7:00pm I still ran in to see if they could still do the oil change. I offered to reschedule for the next day since it's just about closing time and I am late. Entirely my fault, but they told me no they will get it done. Since i first brought my car to this particular Pepboys I have become very impressed with all the staff I've interacted with. Everybody has been pleasant and helpful every time I've had my car there.

I just moved to this San Mateo and Central Neighborhood recently and when I got a nail in my tire last night, I was hesitant to bring it anywhere close by because, honestly, it’s not the most desirable part of ABQ. But I said screw it and went to the Pep Boys over here and wow! These guys were so nice and so easy to work with. They had me in and out in 30 mins. If I decided to bring it elsewhere, I am almost certain my whole day would’ve been ruined as most places said they needed an appointment. Will definitely go here again.

Got a tire fixed because of a nail. They didn’t fill my tire to what they said 40 psi. My tire reader in the car said it was at 25 psi and when my husband checked it with his reader it was at 27 psi. The service manager wouldn’t check it. And said he trusted his tech. I will never take my vehicle there ever again. Only reason I went to them was because discount tires is closed.and fyi I have a 2023 and haven’t had issues with my tire reader in my vehicle that’s why I took it in because I new there had to be something wrong with my tire.

Hobbled in as a new tire was going flat. They were kind enough to work me in even though very busy, fixed it fast and I was on my way! Great courtesy from the entire staff. Most recently needed help with my tires and they helped me on the spot . Good job guys, you have my business!

I needed a small tire tube changed on my e-scooter tire and it was extremely difficult to get the tire off the rim myself. Brought it in to these guys and, although it was unusual, they got the tire off for me and replaced the tube. Excellent customer service! I wasn't a customer before, but Zeke's help means I'll be buying a lot more services here from now on. Thanks!

Liar liar. The shop manager is a piece of work! Argumentative, sassy. He argued about my request for a tire rotation and balance. He said it was performed but I saw that the brake dust was still on the front tires but I trusted him! No more! I took my car to Jiffy Lube and they confirmed there was more tread on front tires than on back. So they will say they performed work when they did not perform work. LIARS

Had a flat on the road coming back from Texas, headed back to California. Had a hard time finding a 22 inch tire for my SUV that came with them from the factory. Julio had one in stock, unless I would have to spend another night in New Mexico. Service was excellent, THANK YOU JULIO AND THE CREW THERE!!!!!
