They were very helpful and friendly. They made it very easy to view and visit with a pet. The adoption councilor talked with us, asked questions and answered ours and made it very easy to go home with a pet that day. We came home with our dog Angus that day! They supplied us with a leash, documents and tags. He was already chipped and had all his shots so there was no waiting or coming back later.

Lucky Paws is always one of our favorite places to stop into while visiting the mall. It’s always fun to see the dogs and cats and we’ve even adopted from them a few times. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the employees sometimes don’t seem very thrilled about engaging and interacting with customers, but it’s still an awesome pet store other than that.

My cat is amazing!!!!! She's such a whiner though, but I love her to death. The staff were helpful and I am glad I adopted from them. She no longer smells of the sulphur dip. UPFATE: she is still a wonderful cat! Has taken up scaring herself with her own tale and attacking my feet from under the couch.

I adopted a dog here abweek ago. Mimi (as we named her) is very lovable. She is our baby and my daughter loves her to pieces. Easy to adopt and very nice and friendly people there. Also, is very economic to adopt a pet. They will give the pet to you fixed and with all the shots.

Like a few others in the review section, I went with a friend during a weekday in the evening, this place is indeed difficult to find. It is kind of hidden away, near the Factory Edge. We arrived almost 2 hours before their website claims they close, and when we arrived the store was locked and lights were off. It almost looked out of business. As someone who went out of their way to come here, that was frustrating. We were crunched for time as it was, but Lucky Paws was the closest location for what we were going for. If I would have known they were not open, I would have gone to a Petsmart or Petco instead. We ended up wasting an hour of our time getting to this mall and walking around trying to find the dang store. If you are not going to follow your listed business hours, why be in business at all? It is pretty inconsiderate to not update your business hours, people are busy, and people rely on the hours listed on the website.

The staff here are so incredible! Not only are they knowledgeable about their pets but they obviously care deeply about them. I got my new forever friend there just yesterday and it was love at first sight. They are well taken care of at Lucky Paws, all of their pets are chipped and sterilized and they offer a complimentary vet visit as well. Do yourselves a favor and visit the wonderful staff and adorable animals here, you will not be disappointed!

I love this place, but tried to take my granddaughter after checking online to ensure they were open. When we got there the place was locked up (and has apparently been closed throughout the pandemic). Not cool! Keep your online hours up to date. People really count on those!

I'm getting a cat soon, great place to go. Their shelter is full and they need some animals adopted! Kittens 6 months and younger are $75, cats older than 6 months are 45 if I'm correct, and senior animals or animals that have been in the shelter more than 6 months are $5! This includes vaccinations, spaying/neutering, etc. If I'm not mistaken. Everyone there really works with you and they're super nice. They have some beautiful animals that really need homes!

Great place to find a new buddy. We've adopted two dogs from lucky paws. They really do great work trying to find these dogs a good home. They make sure to ask a lot of questions to make sure the dog you like is going to be a good match for your household. I would recommend anyone wanting a loving companion to rescue a pup from here.

We got the best little girl terrier from here, almost 8 years old so adoption was only $5! She's healthy, all shots up to date, just given her rabies, nothing to do but take her home and have her fit in with the family. We love her so!Lucky Paws was super thorough and also gave us a coupon for our 1st free wellness check at the VCA (Or anywhere else we wanted). Amazing! Thank you!

They had the most amazingly cute dogs. I would have loved to work there just to make sure every single one of those precious animals had a good home. You can see those workers work extremely hard for those animals. It was a very clean place considering how many animals they have.

This is strictly first impression- I did not go in as it was closed at the time. I approached the store at about 9 in the morning as I approached, I saw an employee gathering a dog on a leash. I began reading the business hours as he proceeded to lift the gate right next to me, lower it, and walk away without so much as acknowledging me. They may very well be super courteous and accommodating at 11:30am when they open

They aren't communicative and some staff don't seem eager to find their animals homes. There was one dog there that I had gone to visit and ask questions for several times. I brought my dog to introduce to that dog, but since it was 30 minutes until closing they did not want to do it. The next time we filled out paperwork for the dog and the only thing left was to give the dog the "cat test" because i have a cat. They never contacted me after that point and the next time i went to ask questions i found that they never did the cat test.

The next time that you are looking to take in a new pet, lucky Paws is the place to go! You'll not only find a good selection of animals but you will also be helping those animals have a quality life. The adoption costs are reasonable oh, and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

This place is wonderful. The staff there is so caring. I went in for info for the Lucky Paws van. I told Selia how lonely and alone i was, and that I couldn't afford big adoption fees etc. Selia made it possible for me to get a cat, FREE OF CHARGE. Also gave a cat bed, cat food and litter...the other staff member Rochelle did all the paperwork,and was sweet as pie...giv giving me a big hug before I left.I cried tears of joy. I'm so happy with my new fur baby 😍. I would highly recommend Lucky Paws. Thank you so much for your kindness, it meant the world to me.

This is one of the best shelters in Albuquerque. The staff is always so nice and are really great with kids and pets, like explaining to be gentle and how to act around the animals. The volunteers and staff are so nice and take such great care of the animals.
