I contacted this morning Ian the owner from First Aid chimney to repair our pellet stove since it was not working. He came out today and inspected the pellet stove and cleaned it. He was very professional and he arrived on time for our appointment. I highly recommend Ian. Excellent customer service which is hard to find today. We will be contacting him from now on for our pellet stove and chimney. He did an outstanding job!

I called First Aid Chimney Care and Ian was out the next day. Ian did a complete Chimney sweep, determined that everything was sound and arranged the logs for the cleanest burning fire we've had in over 19 years. Ian was prompt, cordial and a true professional. I've passed his card on to the restoration company that was dealing with a mess that was caused by a heating company that came to light the pilot. After trying to light my chimney, which had not been used for 3 years, I called First Aid Chimney Care. Ian, the owner, was able to come over the same day due to cancellations. He cleaned the unit and showed me how to turn it on and what the knobs were used for. He also did some research for me on a new pilot assembly I needed in the near future. . the fireplace has been long overdue to a cleaning. I thought i could do it myself, but as I read how it was done it became clear it was more of a job that I wanted to mess with.I found First Aid Chimney Care online and they had the best reviews. We hired Ian (the owner) of First Aid Chimney Care to come find out why our house was smelling like smoke each time we had a fire. Ian came out right away and discovered our chimney was leaking. We decided to replace the chimney and fireplace after using it extensively for 25 years. Ian was spectacular as he made sure our furniture and our dogs were safe while he carefully removed the unit and installed the new one. He paid attention to the smallest details and persevered until all was perfect. He coordinated with a plasterer to close the wall surrounding the fireplace. He lit a fire to insure there were no leaks before the wall was repaired. We couldn’t be happier with the result. I was searching for a wood stove installation service to diagnose the soot problem with my current stove. I called 29 businesses or more and none of them followed up. I called Ian at First aid chimney care and he was just finished with a job. He came over in 15 minutes, crawled into the crawl space and diagnosed the problem. I gave Ian the job! I decided to purchase a wood stove online (what a mistake) and I received it damaged and refused shipment. That's when I decided to buy the Osburn 1700 stove from Ian. He answered or returned phone calls and texts every step of the way. He even assisted with the roof repair because the entire stove pipe had to be replaced and moved. We originally contacted this company to have our chimney cleaned. The service was fair and timely, especially during the busy season as we begin the slow move toward winter. The sweep was quick and reasonable, though Ian highly recommended it was time we have our stove replaced. He showed us where we could order stoves and have them delivered to the house, after which he would gladly install for us. Considerations for installation also included the need for a narrower diameter in chimney piping as the original set-up contributed to the old stove over-heating. On the day of installation, he showed up alone, removed the old stove, took out the old chimney piping, and installed all new pieces in less than two hours. His work was clean and efficient and his insight to all our wood-burning needs was extremely helpful. We will be calling Ian again to service our chimney this summer. Ian, the owner, did a great job cleaning out our chimney & fireplace insert today. He arrived on-time and was professional in all respects. He took care to keep the house clean and had a solid attention to detail in cleaning the chimney & fireplace. I had two birds stuck in my chimney pipe. I called several chimney companies and First Aid Chimney Care was the only that would fit me in that same day. The technician was able to carefully grab them and release them...they both flew away. He then cleaned the stove and chimney and was cool about turning off his vacuum at times as I was on an online meeting while this was going on. Ian was recommended to us by our son and daughter-in-law after doing a great job cleaning their chimney and servicing an older gas fireplace. We also received a top quality job. Ian cleaned our chimney and installed a new gas fireplace and new glass doors. It was a difficult installation due to the existing stonework that had to be cut to fit the new doors and Ian was definitely up to the job.
