My Ranger loves this place! This is the only place other than our home that he will stay at! He comes back to our family so happy! I definitely recommend Academy Boarding! They treat our dogs like their own- not to mention the snacks that Ranger picks out before we leave 🐶

Love love love!! Took my babies here for a long weekend away. The staff was so caring and loving to my precious baby with some health issues. They had an amazing time even getting to play in a doggie pool. Both dogs came home happy and healthy. Will be taking them back in a few weeks. 10/10 highly recommend this place.

I love this place it's only place I trust to leave with my puppy for her grooming they always do such an amazing job they take good care of her and treat her like she's family ,Tara I think her name is, I always spell it wrong she is one of the best and my favorite is groomers of Albuquerque they just don't get the best prices but they do the best quality work.

We haven’t used them in yrs. (Stupid Covid). 1 of our dogs couldn’t stay home while we traveled. They called us about a medical concern & took her 45min to our vet, whom kept her over night. I can’t thank them enough for what they did. Our dog got theAntibiotics she needed & it was because of them that she didn’t get really sick. Yes we will have our dogs stay there again.

I can't speak highly enough of this place, its amazing owner, Kim, and her awesome team of dog-loving staff. I have two 40lb adopted strays with boundless energy who are also completely attached to me. However, they love this place so much that they do not look back at me for ONE second when they arrive to board here. They are also consistently happy and healthy when I pick them up. Kim and her team have gone above and beyond on multiple occasions to help me with dog-related travel situations stemming from the fact that I drive several hours to get to Albuquerque to drop off my dogs. I am so happy I found this place and will continue to board my dogs here as long as I am in the area!

My Dogs truly love staying with the wonderful staff at Academy Kennels! They are always excited to see us and just knowing that they love my dogs gives me a wonderful piece of mind when I travel! One of my dogs is very dog reactive and We have tried some of the fancier, more expensive kennels in the Albuquerque area and have had some not so great experiences but this place sets my dogs up for success! I highly recommend this place for all pet owners

This is the first time my husband and I decided to leave our precious Golden Retriever, Bailey, at Academy Boarding. I read all of the good reviews and decided to take a chance. Well, we were totally pleased from the first time I called and visited with Tracy on the phone, to the time we walked in to drop Bailey off, until the time we picked our girl up. The place is very nice, clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Bailey had a good time there. We will definitely be using Academy Boarding in the future, if needed. We highly recommend this place. Thank you Academy Boarding for the wonderful experience! 😃

They were fine enough. I do find it odd that you have to pay additional for your dog to go outside, otherwise are they just kept in their kennel during their stay. I brought three bones for my dog as he’s still a puppy and a big chewer and all three were returned to me still brand new and looked as if they were never offered to my dog. I brought him his blanket from home and they told me “we always advise not to bring your own blanket because we do provide blankets and it could get lost in our laundry so just expect not to get your blanket back”. Not how I would talk to someone who just spent over 100 dollars at your establishment. They were fine enough but we will not be bringing our dog back.

I boarded 2 dogs for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago. They were all taken care of and the staff was so helpful and attentive. The check-in process was easy and painless. My dogs were immediately tended to and I signed the paperwork and went on my way. Pick-up was even better, my dogs were brought out in a matter of minutes, the paperwork was emailed to me so there wasn’t a wait as my dogs were excited to see us! Thank you, Academy Kennels for making boarding our 2 pups so efficient and giving them the care they deserved!

Sophie and Mac insist on staying at Academy Kennels when my wife and I are traveling. Our pups come home smiling. Kim and her staff treat our dogs like they were their own.We’ve been extremely satisfied with the grooming we have done. Mac comes home looking like a princess. The staff at Academy Kennels did an amazing job taking care of our 4 dogs for a week while our backyard was being redone. Beau, Sebastian, Bella & Brady had a great stay and at the end they were flawlessly groomed for us.The staff is terrific and we won't hesitate to use them again!

Amazing, clean, and professional establishment. Staff was PHENOMENAL and the services were top notch. My dog don’t seem like she had anxiety afterwards at all usually how she is after petco. Will definitely be bringing my fur baby back here! Way better prices, service, and over all better than any corporation locally owned which I think is perfect.

They take great care of my dog when I travel for work. He’s always happy when he comes home and I appreciate that I can pay extra for him to get some individual playtime. I was taken aback when I checked out last time and was asked if I wanted to tip 20% on his boarding stay. That makes me feel conflicted about whether I want to keep using this place as my boarding kennel.

The staff there is amazing. Great new owners who care about the animals well being. I can barely get through the door without my dog dragging me inside. He jumps on the door to see who is coming to take care of him. Great place and I very highly recommend.

I own a very energetic and aggressively friendly Catahoula, MeauxMeaux. When I have to go on the road, I don't think twice about letting her stay at Academy Kennels. She loves her visits and they love her. They treat her as if she is their own puppy. I even arrange for playtime in the yard. This dog refuses to bathe but, amazingly, they have even managed to give her a bath before I pick her up.Y'all would be hard pressed to find better care than Academy Kennels. Heck, I don't mind leaving a tip... they work hard and take great care of my mutt.

Academy Kennels Boarding has a new owner who bought the business last fall.Under this new owner there have been massive changes. The kennels are kept clean. The entire facility smells clean. You can tell that the staff actually cares.Under the old owner the place went downhill. The staff seemed to just not care anymore. We were looking for a new place until we found out they had new ownership.We will definitely continue taking our dogs to Academy boarding under this new owner and staff that actually cares.

My boy, Buddy is excited each time he comes here. The new owners are awesome. And the changes they are implementing are very welcoming. The outdoor areas are grassy and shaded. With lots of room to run. The indoor areas are large and open. There are sky lights throughout the building. I will definitely be bringing him back for grooming and boarding.

Academy kennels is a wonderful place to board your pets! They have always catered to our elderly dogs, they take each animals specific needs to heart, when housing, to make sure they have what they need. The open air environment is sunny and well ventilated. The outdoor areas are grassy and great for dogs to run and play. I highly recommend them, for all your boarding needs!

Had a good experience this weekend boarding my 2 labs. Staff was welcoming and courteous, facility was clean. My dogs enjoyed their time there. I was greeted on my arrival by the new management and their efforts are definitely positive.
