I was told to wait outside for 3 minutes until they open. I was waiting outside like I was told and cussed at by the manager for waiting outside for 3 minutes instead of waiting in my car. After she started yelling even though I hadn’t raised my voice or said anything rude and even attempted to provoke an employee that was driving a forklift to run me over with the forklift. After finally entering the store to make my purchase the cashier followed me to my car threatening me if I ever showed up there to shop again. Honestly, I’m a small business owner who uses harbor freight a few times a month for supplies and am appalled by everything that took place this morning. I will be shopping online from now on.

On February 26th, 2023, Alamogordo experienced a nasty windstorm. Multiple shingles on my roof came off, and I had to get on the roof during the storm to prevent further damage. I had basic eye protection on, but something got in my eye. I tried multiple times to flush it out, but I wasn't successful. The next day, I had to pay $40 to the eye doctor to get rid of whatever was in my eye.Yesterday, I purchased all the stuff I needed for my swamp cooler. I wasn't going to use the same eye protection I used in February. I did a Google search, and the first ad I saw was for some Ranger Heavy Duty Eye Protection at Harbor Freight for $9.99. Because I had to visit Lowe's for the swamp cooler products, I checked their eye protection. There was a lot to pick from, but none of them were what I wanted, which was 100% eye protection. I wasn't able to find everything at Lowe's, so I visited Home Depot to buy one item for my swamp cooler and thought of checking their eye protection area but didn't waste my time. I bought the item and left Home Depot, then drove across the street to Harbor Freight.I walked in, asked where the eye protection was, and found exactly what I was looking for: a pair of Ranger Heavy Duty Eye Protection for $9.99. I wore them the entire time I was working on my swamp cooler, and nothing got in my eyes. Mission accomplished!

All the tools you will ever need at a great value. Many of the tools have a no hassle lifetime guarantee. Great friendly service. I like to go in a couple of times a month to spend money on tools I may never use. But if I ever need them, I have them. If not I'll just go back and spend more money on tools. After all, there's no such thing as having too many tools!

This is one of the nicest, most organized & well stocked Harbor freight stores I've ever been to. The isles are spaced nicely and everything was neatly placed & well organized. Huge parking lot and easy to find right off the main road through town. I'll definitely be back!

They have no accommodation for disabled people, no electric shopping cart, nowhere to sit down if you get winded.I was told earlier in the day, that to get the coupon prices, I would have to go online and clip the coupons because they no longer carry flyers.After I went home, shopped online, and clipped coupons to my account, I went back to the store to shop. When you clip coupons on your harbor freight account online, you have to go in the store and try very hard to find the items. I was having a hard time finding everything that was on my list. I asked the cashier where things were and told her I would probably be needing help finding things. She then asked the supervisor to come and to the register. He helped me find a few of the items. Then, as I read my list to him, he said "that he could not be my personal shopper..." Then he started throwing out aisle numbers and walked away. The supervisor was very tacturn and I could tell he was angry at me for trying to get my shopping done on a list that I had on my phone. But earlier in the day I was told that is the only way I could get the discounted prices.I finally abandoned the things I could not find on my list and went to the checkout. I was then told that I had to have the coupons on my phone scanned by the checker to get my discounts. I told him I had put them in my cart assigned to my account. But he said that the checker still had to scan the coupons. By then I was feeling very sick. I asked if there was any place to sit down and he said there was no place in the store to sit down. I then said "well, I'll make a place to sit down" and went and sat near one of the bag areas. He then said that I did not have time to sit down, they were closing. But, if I had not sat down just for a few minutes I wouldn't even have made it out the door. While I was at taking a necessary and very short rest, I read the coupon codes off my phone from my shopping cart to the checker so I could get my discounts. I spent well over $250 even after my discounts and abandoned things I could not find.It was closing time by the time I finished, but if he would have helped me a little bit earlier when I asked if he could show me where things were instead of constantly trying to hunt and peck for my list items, I would have been out there quite a while before closing.I did not know that they did not have an electric shopping cart at the store. Next time, I will bring my walker with my own seat so I can rest at my leisure because they have nowhere to sit in the store either.Now, I love harbor freight more than I would ever love a jewelry or clothes store. Their tools work very well for the prices as long as you take care of them.But, the people working at the Harbor Freight in Alamogordo, New Mexico apparently think that cheap prices mean that no customer service is required and that it is okay, as long as you're still polite to the customer via words, that you can show anger and be inconsiderate of disabled people's limitations.I upgraded them to two stars because of the prices of the tools.

Overall we really like the store.The staff sometimes act put out when you ask them a question or for a rain check if something is out of stock. That is few and far between so not to big of a deal however.Really look through the catalog though as sometimes you can find better coupons in different places.

Harbor freight is a great tool for working men. That being said store in alamogordo is a little bit shady. Went to buy a generator that went on discount on 12 th. Employees were not helpful figuring it out. Finally got to bottom of it shaking the tree they needed a number off the add online. It was to simple to say pull it up there's a number we need. Told me I was wrong then avoided the facts. Proved them wrong you can get a 3500 predator generator for 719 right now. Use coupon code.

The worst customer service ever! I unexpectedly bought something that was too big to fit in my trunk. I asked them if I could run down the road to get my friends truck. The guy working there straight up told me that if someone else comes in to buy the item that I just paid hundreds of dollars for, they will sell it to that someone. I had to leave my son there to make sure they wouldn't resell what I just bought. To top it all off they complained about having to load it. Extremely rude!

This is my husbands 'go to' place to find his work tools. We also bought our quiet and dependable gasoline generator. We use it for camping. We also used it during the four days we lost power during the McBride fire in Ruidoso.

Clean, well stocked, usually very helpful. Today not so much. Was charged 12.00 to return a tool that didn't work. No inspection to verify my claim that it didn't work. I had it for less than ten minutes. Hard to swallow paying 12.00 for you to restock a failed tool. That you will resell to someone else.....

The employee that I talked to wasn't helpful, just pointed in a direction for my requested item. He ended up being my cashier, but, after I paid,, he just handed me my items, un-bagged. I had to go behind his plexiglass to get a bag to put my things in...strange...It's gotten a little better! They aren't as stingy with their bags now!

Large chain of reasonably priced tools. You can choose the quality range and price. Frequently can find a lower price here than in the major home improvement stores. Always worth checking depending on your needs. I believe recently added pro grade tools as well.

This is THEE toy store for real men and wanna-be's working on stuff. If you need the basic tools for the job and a few precision tools, they have it at a huge discount. Their work range is A-to-Z and every profession is THERE. And, where else could you buy an American Flag with embroidered stars for under 10-bucks.
