I have been getting pizza here for the last 9 years and there is still no better pizza around. Fresh dough made daily! Every bite is full of flavor. The toppings are always fresh and tasty! She also does subs here I have yet to try them. I have had a burger years ago which I remember it being huge. You can call in ahead to order which times quoted are always accurate! Sure the outside area is posted in a way that keeps loiterers out. Sure the customer service could be a tad better. But this Northern New Mexico, I’ve ordered here enough that I can tell you the customer service is amazing. When I was a wild land firefighter she would give me free drinks. Wear a mask it’s courteous, and you might get a little extra love. Every time I’m in El Rito I order from here. Easily I’ve ordered over 20 times maybe up to 50. Cash or “plastic” credit card is accepted.

The pizza - ESPECIALLY the crust - is delicious! It's not inexpensive, expect $26+. Uncertain if the worker (possibly owner) is super good at making pizza but pretty darn off-putting with people or, doesn't understand that tone of voice matters. Highly recommend ordering and picking up your pizza, because it's SUPER good, especially for the area, just don't ask for parmesan cheese

This Pizzeria is so delicious!!! She's super friendly and funny :) we got a jumbo Road Runner Pizza and Garlic sticks. The dough was obviously handmade and super well done and the pizza was flavorful and spicy. We also really liked the Garlic Sticks which had texture and flavor😋We spent $37 but the pizza was massive and we have plenty of leftovers😊Also wanted to mention that she made it clear it's a gay-friendly establishment 🏳️🌈 which put me and my boyfriend at ease. Such a sweet lady and she obviously cares very much about the quality of her food!

Best pizza...Ever! And we've sampled our fair share. The crust is perfect and crisp on the bottom. The sauce is definitely home-made, the ingredients are fresh...and it was well worth the road trip. We even ordered a second pizza to take home. Highly recommended 👌

Excellent pizza. Always. After over a decade of getting take out here, I have never been disappointed.PS Northern New Mexico is fortunate to have Mamacita's. The pizzas are consistently delicious and the quality is top notch. Fabulous hot wings as a side. Nice heat. 3/9/2024 update: I just discovered Mamacita's meatball sub. I'm not sure what to order now, a pizza or a meatball sub. They are both superb.

We've been there 6 times and it's delicious everytime. The owner (Marta) is a fun, considerate and nice person to talk to. It's a 45 minute drive for us and worth every minute of it. We always order 2 jumbo pizzas because it's one of our favorite pizza places, actually our favorite and we have tried lots of different pizza joints. It's definitely worth the drive!

This place really puts the "mama" in mamacitas. I called in the late afternoon on a Saturday, hoping to get one of these large pies I'd read about..I was told she only had enough for a jumbo and I thought that might be a little much for just myself. She called right back and said she didn't want me to go hungry, so she'd make an exception. I can't believe the customer service, she went above and beyond and I got super lucky to try mamacitas famous pizza! Highly recommended, the Hawaiian was cooked to perfection! Will definitely return when I'm back in the area :) thanks again!!

LOCKED KEYS IN CAR!!After passing Mamacita’s several times coming and going from Colorado mainly due to poor timing (too early/too late) i finally was able to call in an order to go.Upon arrival we walked up to the window and saw the owner, Marta, working away on pizza orders. My gf was so excited when she jumped out of the truck she accidentally locked us out of the truck! Marta came to our rescue by calling the local locksmith and guiding us to the locals bar next door since it was chilly and dark outside. The pizza was great, fresh ingredients and tasty crust. Marta is now a hero in my eyes not only because she whips out some awesome pies but because she genuinely took time and helped us get out of our situation. Do yourself a favor and drop in or call in a order when passing through Abiquiu.

The pizza is not too bad, the service and “rules” are not very welcoming. Customer beware of the outdoor only eating area with strict rules pertaining to outside drinks and dogs...apparently stray cats are treated very well with food and water in the outdoor eating area..

We were in the area today and decided to see if Mamacitas was open. Lucky us, it was! It definitely feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, a very small place that has some picnic tables outside on a patio. We decided to have the Roadrunner, a pizza made with pepperoni, sausage, and the ever present green chile. When I say this pizza was good…it’s by far the best pizza I’ve had since we moved from New York State. Maria was lovely, although very busy. Anyone that thinks she’s rude, please don’t ever go anywhere in New York State, you won’t make it.

Wow the best pizza I ever had but far! Mamacita doesn't mess around. Ranked best in the US! Love her place and character, reminds me of old fashion cooking and discipline! Thank you! This pizza is the jumbo Supreme with green chili a day jalapeños!

Pizza was delicious. Service was actually very fast. The owner took my order, said it would be 12 minutes & she delivered.Pizza was a great NY style crust. No flop. Great crust. Yum. Unexpected, really. Very good pizza. No dine in. There is a covered area with picnic tables. You order at the window. I didn't see any mask signs (for those of you triggered over people protecting their health & yours) and the owner was nice. It's a one-woman show from what I saw & she was busy!I'll definitely stop again.

Best pizza I have ever had in NM. The owner explained her process. You could taste the love in her food. There is a lot of heart and souls in this place. Driving 200 miles to have the best pizza ever was worth it.

Fabulous New York/New Jersey-style crust where there are few restaurants and many of those are pricey. You can sit outside at a few tables or take to to go. The vegetarian pizza was surprisingly more tasty than the supreme! I love this place and it is one of the top user-rated pizzerias in New Mexico. Enjoy the views and wait for a worthy pizza. Their largest pizza supreme/vegetarian with bread sticks and two Pepsis cost around $40. But that is cheaper than most of the very few restaurants in the area.Vegetarian options: The Veggie supreme is super tasty!Parking: Plenty of parking

This place is rated #2 in the state of New Mexico. I asked the owner who #1 was and she said they were dead so this year she might get #1 from TripAdvisor. I'm not sure if she was telling me she murder the competition or they truly died. The pizza was pretty good as I'm a top rated world renowned pizza connoisseur. Currently this place would be rated #1 because this is the only pizza I've had in New Mexico.Mamacita is rough around the edges and has lots of rules you MUST follow. I've included a picture of rules. If you plan on pouring the water you purchased from her make sure you pour the water in your container in front of her. Otherwise she will make you put your water container in the car. This is one of the rules on the wall so I guess having the ice that I brought from another location couldn't be mixed with the water that I bought from her. Understandably this may or may not be in her food and beverage license.Make sure you don't park in the fire lane cuz she will come out and yell at you to move for good reasons because motorcycles have been hit or back into.If you're allergic to cats there are free-range cats on the property that don't require a leash.Someday she serves subs and other day she doesn't.One last thing I recommend bringing your own napkins. I had to blow my nose and asked for a napkin before the pizza came out and I was told to read the sign "no public bathrooms". I'm not sure what that had to do with needing a napkin. I'm surprised there isn't a rule about placing boogers underneath the park benches.

The Pizza was OK, but the woman running the place was extremely rude to us. Literally yelled at us for having a bottled water while waiting for our to go pizza. While the other party waiting at the tables both had drinks they brought from outside! Then she yelled at us about our dog, who was only in the parking lot, never came in the seated area. There are plenty of places to get good Pizza, it is not worth the abuse.

I love reading all the bad reviews and seeing how they are consistently about the same issue. Rudeness/her making no sense. How can you be so health conscious whilst stray cats roam your dining area. Comical really. I also love her snarky replies, I too am expecting a reply trying to justify her actions. Can't wait to read it.Our experience does not involve us trying any pizza, so we can not speak to food quality and taste. We see a "no mask no service sign". Now since no where else is requiring masks, we only had one tucked away in the glove box; however, we try to be respectful. My husband wore the one mask we had and proceeded to the order window. I stayed far back away from the window in the OUTDOOR seating area, since I didn't have a mask. Mind you we were the only customers and I expect to be able to sit and eat without a mask. The owner yells at me "Ma'am you need a mask to be in the patio area." I promptly move out of the patio area, but her rudeness and the ridiculousness of her request was enough for me to leave and never return. If you want good pizza go to Blue Heron Brewery out in Dixon. The owner is super nice and so is her staff.

The best pizza I've ever had. Perfect crust. Just amazing. I asked her for her opinion on what to order since it was my first time there. She wouldn't tell me what to get so I respected that. Tried the veggie. Was blown away. Hope prices stabilize in the world so she can serve her hamburgers again. Will be running back for more.

I can’t believe we ate the whole thing: Delicious sauce, and a crust that actually holds our usual pepperoni-sausage-mushroom-olive topping. One of the best pizzas in memory. The salad was super-fresh and the dressing delicious as well. Mamacita herself is full of a great energy, taking pride in her very good work. And well she should.

The pizza at Mamacita's used to be outstanding (we hadn't visited in a couple of years) but, unfortunately, we were disappointed during our last visit. Maybe inflation is to blame? The pizza we kept coming back for had a medium thickness, the one we were served last week was very thin.Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed the great flavor of the homemade sauce and good quality cheese and toppings but, though the crust is still crispy, when you pick up a slice, it's limp because it is very, very thin.I don't think we'll return, now it really isn't worth the long drive. Pity.
