I have going here for years and my dogs love this place!!! I truly appreciate how excited my dogs are to see both groomers!! I highly recommend this place, even though it’s tough to get an appointment sometimes but that’s because they are the best in the area hands down!!

Very very very rude smh i will not be returning. Had an appointment for a Saturday was never called or left a voice message like they usually do. Heather or the owner i believe? Yelled and became belligerent towards me on the phone when i asked for a courtesy that my two poodles get groomed in the upcoming month at least since I was not reminded about my appointment. Which their fault, was told they do not need my business as they continued to get loud and aggressive with me.Never in my life have i dealt with any customer service like this ANYWHERE it’s a shame bc they were close to my house and convenient for me.I will be taking my dogs back to elmwood park to Amy’s Royal Treatment since their they are cared for at least, will just have to make the drive.Thank you so much for your lack of services and kindness smooch and pooch. You are a real disappointment.Hope you treat the dogs better than you treat people! Also, do not yell at your paying customers. You will be losing lots of business with your attitude i promise you.Response to owner: Let’s be very very clear. I was not unhappy with your response, I’m highly unhappy with the delivery of your response and your nasty attitude and lies. I was not reminded of my appointment or even left a message which is wrong on your part. There was no need to get loud or angry with a paying customer. I am not the first to witness this kind of response by you as there are several other reviews. I feel so bad for which ever dog was getting groomed at the time of our phone call seeing as you got very angry towards me whilst i was calm during our conversation. I genuinely and honestly believe you need some anger management bc that was very out the blue and uncalled for. You will never touch my dogs again. Thank you

I love Smooch A Pooch! They do a great job on my Bentley♥️ I must admit I am super picky when it comes to groomers, I have been through half a dozen, this is the first place that consistently does an awesome job. I moved 20 minutes away and I still bring her here because I love their work

EXCELLENT GROOMER!!! We would NEVER take our two dogs anywhere else. The owner and groomers are extremely friendly and courteous. They are professional and very knowledgeable. They are used to handling dogs especially, my dogs who are a little older and needy. We are beyond happy with the grooming and care every time. Highly recommend!

My dog has always hated to go to the groomer. And even though he still doesn't like me to leave him he is much calmer when I have to leave him at Smooch a Pooch than anywhere I have ever taken him before. They are fabulous with him and do such a great job grooming him. This is also the first groomers that I have used that he is not completely stressed out afterwards. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!!!

I have taken my yellow lab Brooke to Smooch A Pooch in both locations for the past 2.5 years. Every time I call, they are so friendly, they remember her, and always make time in their busy schedule for her. She always leaves super happy and the quality of the grooming itself is 5 stars. We will never go anywhere else!

Love this place. I live in Wanaque but still make the little drive. My dog is always super comfortable and he never comes home with irritated skin which is great. He has sensitive skin so this is always a worry for me. They are fairly priced and super friendly!

My response to the owner’s response - LIES! We have been having her groomed for 4 years an NO ONE has ever had to muzzle my dog or claim that she has viscously attacked anyone. she is such a sweet and gentle dog. You must have traumatized and ABUSED her so bad for her to be so anxious. You paid for the handful of good reviews that you have. You couldn’t even communicate clearly the issues today and had no manners when speaking with a customer about their pet. Hope you go out of business!If I could give them ZERO STARS, I would. Do not bring your dog here to get groomed. Terrible groomer. The customer service here is non existing. Took my 4 year old, 14 pound sweet and loving cockapoo to get groomed and it was by far the worst experience of my life. They must have done a number on her to traumatize her, because she wouldn’t even get out of the crate when we went to get her. The one employee who was working on another dog and asked the other employee to grab her and that employee laughed in a mocking way, shaking her head. WOW. I have never felt so disgusted at a business and their employees. The appointment was at 11am and at 3pm we got the call to go pick her up because they couldn’t cut her hair stating she was not cooperating with them. Well, it’s not rocket science that if a dog has been there for three hours in a crate around loud blow dryers and other barking dogs, that they are going to be a bit anxious when you try to work on them. They told me that they had to blow dryer in the crate!! I am so disappointed and frankly beyond shocked that this happened. Save your dog from this HORRIBLE groomer.

Terrible customer service by a rude and obnoxious owner who didn't want to honor her word . She had a big dog too high on the table and he tried to get off and was alnost strangled. My dog was always terrified to go here and would shake and urinate and had to be dragged in. Last time he had a laceration on his leg and his haircut was terrible. Uneven and looked terrible. Dog owners beware. Would give zero stars if I could.

Smooch a pooch is awesome! I've been taking my dog Pepe there for a few months and I've never had a problem. I love that I can make appointments on Facebook through messenger. Denise from S.A.P. always answers me back promptly. I would highly recommend this establishment!

This was the first time taking my dog to this groomer. Told them that he was a little high strung, and to do their best. When I picked him up I was very pleased. They followed my instructions to the letter. I told them that I would be back with my other dog. Would highly recommend. My dogs are show dogs and need to be groomed well. If there was a show today, he would have won by his looks.

I have been taking our Standard Poodle to SaP a long time and should have given a review much sooner. Just recently we got back from a long vacation and our dog had the worst tangled matted hair ever after weeks with a sitter. She also had a minor medical issue and had to make a vet appointment right away the same day as her scheduled cut. It only gave Them about half the time as usual to get her cleaned up. I said do whatever you can even a wash and shave is enough. In that short time they still did the works and her over the top standard poodle cut. So I was able to get her to the vet in time and show off her new cut. SaP is awesome!
