In December, we had to put down our sweet, loving dog Kira after 12 years. Banfield staff was kind and accommodating, as she had lost her ability to walk, they carted her in through the back and made sure there was a blanket set down for her.My baby girl enjoyed a bowl of treats before she went off to the Rainbow Bridge. The nurses and doctor who helped her transition were so friendly, as well as compassionate. I had her cremated, and her ashes and paw print were returned to me beautifully, including a very kind condolences card signed by the Banfield staff, as well as a bonus nose print, which was so kind of them to do.To Banfield staff, thank you so much. You are very kind and loving people, and I'm glad we trusted you with our Kira's final moments. 💗

Everyone is always so nice. Kind and caring for the pets. Reese loves to come in and get groomed. Such a nice job and she smells so good and soft. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby. 🐕 🐾💕💕

We had to put our family dog down a few weeks ago and the way the staff treated us was incredible. Everyone was so kind and gentle with us and our Bonnie. They explained everything before they started. They laid a blanket on the floor and gave her treats while she was sedated. We were able to snuggle her and tell her how much she meant to us while she crossed the rainbow bride. Today I went back to pick up the ceramic paw print that they made. The print was perfect but they also gave us a card with personal messages from so many staff members and a few extra paper prints with Bonnie's paw and nose prints. I can't tell you how much these acts of kindness mean to our family. Thank you Banfield for taking care of our beloved Bonnie and for going the extra mile for our family.

I've been meaning to leave a review since we've had to say goodbye to our beloved 17 year old cat, Prince. I didn't have any expectations about how that process would go and what it would be like but the employees at the Deptford Banfield certainly exceeded any idea I would have had. From the moment I called, Faith was empathetic and sincere and had so much patience with me while I cried over the phone to her. She answered all my questions. Hands down I've never received such care from a stranger on the phone. She deserves recognition for that! The vet, Dr. Dence was exceptional in the whole experience. They knew how important it was for me to allow him to have his last meal so they offered multiple things to have my cat try, who was no longer really eating. Even the smallest details meant a lot to me as they had set up a cozy bed for him and gave us all the time in the world that we needed. I was especially touched by the gifts we received...imprints of his nose and paw, and a clay pawprint keepsake. I'm still so touched by how sensitive and caring they all were in our time of grief. Thank you, Banfield.

The staff could not be nicer and they love my baby boy. My 97pound Pitbull that thinks he's the size of a lap dog. I would definitely recommend them for any services you might need. Great staff and always make you feel welcome

Love this place so much! I will be a client for life. I always say, I wish I could find people doctors this good! Get the wellness plan, it's the deal of the century. They will see your pet in hours not days, even when you think it's no big deal.Also, is all on file so if you are traveling you can go to any banfield in the country, and they are in almost every petsmart.

Very friendly and kind. My cat had to be put to sleep and they were very friendly and awesome about it. A month later they sent me a card a sympathy card and a little book marker. Doctors are very good

I recently used them for the first time about 2 weeks ago. They saw my 13 year old little buddy Papi Chulo a chihuahua / shih tzu mix. Correctly diagnosed he was having an allergic reaction. Prescribed the proper medication and it cleared up a lot. My only issue is the prescriptions. Unfortunately Papi isn't all the way healed and for some reason only had 7 days of Rimadyl which helps with pain and itch. Once they were gone. Papi's back to chewing. Not even a refill yet the Apoquel has 3 refills. It's for helping him stop itching but it doesn't seem to do anything. So I need to call Monday. 4 stars for now but if they try to bleed me for more money after a $275 dollar visit two weeks ago. I'll be sure to re adjust.

This is my second visit, my cat had an ear infection and she has some end of life needs. Dr. Youello and the entire staff were very friendly, empathic and professional. I am so pleased with the quality of Customer Service! Thank you all so very much, you were a comfort to me as well.

We were having problems with the Banfield in south Philly which turned out to be real bad but I won't get into that now. We found the one in Woodbury NJ and WOW what a difference. We were greeted by Robert and all our issues where taken care of in the first 5 minutes. This is our new go to vet hospital. I would recommend them to my friends. One last thing THANK YOU ROBERT

I had my dog there to be sedated for X-rays. She was having a problem with her mouth and she would not let them open her mouth. I paid $367 for the X-rays and $127 to have them sent out for a radiologist to read them. Had I know this I would have taken her to a real animal hospital. Since when does a vet not know how to read an X-ray. I was told I would hear the results in a day or 2. Here it is 5 days later and no results. After calling several times they are still pending. This is after calling and being placed on hold for over 20 minutes only to be hung up on not once but twice. I never even received a call the next day to see how my dog was doing. She could be dying and they could care less. I have 3 dogs on the optimum wellness plan and have been a customer since 2014. Not anymore. I have already canceled my renewal for September. This Banfield has really gone down hill. Having to wait over 25 minutes for someone to take my dog back for a drop off appointment or having to wait over an hour for a routine shot visit is unacceptable . This has been my experience for the last year.

Only good for routine shots, literally NOTHING ELSE. They (not all, but some) are discriminatory toward certain breeds. Front desk associates display minimal training when it comes to solving issues & they effuse unprofessional behaviors. Nobody keeps track of the testing being sent off (Wisdom Panel DNA Test) and determining whether or not the results are being returned for the test they’re sending out. Punctuality needs to be incorporated into the training and worth ethic.Recommended to Banfield by a friend & she mentioned that they gave her a pup a free nail clipping. When I inquired about it while setting up my pup’s Wellness Plan, I was told “Oh no, we’re too good for that,” which came off $$$ oriented & snarky, especially for a first impression.For them to be “oh so good” I’m not sure how they lost my Pet’s Wisdom Panel results TWICE. After 2 months of no results, and no follow up call or email from the hospital — I took initiative and called to identify where my pup’s DNA results were. On the call, I was told the system showed the results were sent to the lab, however they never were received by the lab. They then proceeded to explain that they don’t know where they are, what happened, or how it could have happened. This infuriated me because I was paying for a monthly plan for the vets, nurses, and associates to look pass exactly what it is I’m paying for & the fact that nobody from the hospital contacted me within the whole 3 months — after not receiving results for a test they sent out. After expressing my disappointment and frustration to the desk associates, they apologized & only offered my pup a free nail clipping that I was originally told they were “TOO GOOD FOR” ironically.They displayed prejudiced behavior toward me and my pup. Because they were being held accountable for their mistakes and inconsistencies, they decided to service my pup when they felt like it and not in accordance with her appointment time. After having to schedule a second Wisdom Panel testing, upon arriving to my pup’s SCHEDULED appointment, I was told I would have to drop her off if I wanted the service done that day (because this was only my second visit I thought that was protocol, so I didn’t question it). I dropped my pup off at 11am, the hospital told me they would call when she was ready to be picked up. By 3pm I still hadn’t received a call (her first appointment was no where near 4 hours long), so I called to ask if she was done, and they told me she hadn’t even been serviced yet. Her appointment was scheduled for 11am, by 3pm why was my pup still not serviced? No desk associates enlightened me with an answer, they only responded with “she should be going up soon”. I didn’t receive a call for my pup until 5pm, an hour before the hospital closed… If there was no availability until 4-5pm, I should not have been able to schedule her when I did, and I should have been made aware because I would have never left my puppy in their ‘care’ from 11am - 5pm.Lastly, even after my puppy’s second visit for the Wisdom Panel, I still never received the panel results NOR a follow up about not receiving them… and because of that I knew Banfield was what my pup and I needed. I decided to no longer continue my pup’s plan with them because they were getting my money, and I was only receiving poor service and quality. When it came to the cancellation process, they tried to give me a hard time with that. So overall — AVOID if you appreciate the actual care your dog receives when not in your hands, and if you like to get your money’s worth.

It's the best! Make sure you do the wellness program and they will split the cost of everything over 12 months and take it out of your checking. it's the greatest thing ever. Plus they update your pet's chip so if you're ever traveling with your pet any Banfield can see them and they are in almost every PetSmart. Great staff, great prices!

What can I say but they are the very best. Get the wellness plan and you won't have to shell out $600/ye anymore. They just take ~$45/month out of your checking and you get unlimited free visits! There are 4 in the area and you can go to any of them nationally and they put all the info on the chip so any vet can see what's been done. I wish people had healthcare this good.

RUN! They can't keep a vet. No appts. No call backs. I've been a member for 11 years and my dog was passing away and they couldn't even be bothered to call me back. Lost my dog's blood work and still don't have the biopsy results back from 10 days ago. Meanwhile my poor boy suffered due to their negligence and when I called to ask to speak to a vet to just talk through my options for euthanasia, they told me no one could give me 3 minutes of their time. After 11 years. 30+ visits over his lifetime. This place is trash and they don't care about you or your sweet pets. Go to Pitman, Gray Fox, House Paws or Mt Laurel Animal hospital. They are WAYYYYYYY better. Trust me.

Nice staff, but this place will nickle and dime you. I took my dog in because he was sick. They took him and helped him feel better. $145 later but all good. They scheduled a follow up to make sure the medication worked. All good but another $47 just to say he looks good🤦♀️. Really $200 for an antibiotic.No blood work, no x-rays, no surgery. Maybe I'm wrong but I think if he was feeling well and nothing else was wrong.....no follow up needed.

Your company is absolutely awful with completely unprofessional staff.We had our dog scheduled for a spay today at 8am at the Turnersville, NJ location.. We received a call after 7:30am (while already on the highway, enroute to surgery with our dog when we were notified that a doctor had called out and our appointment had been canceled. This is 100% unacceptable!I spoke with a Greg and a Jamie, both who told me pretty much too bad and talked over me.Both my boyfriend and I took off of work today for this appointment! I am pregnant and have to utilize my time for those appointments.Since enrolling in the care program are continuously told there are no doctors or appointments as we signed up at the Deptford location. We are NOT receiving the services or care we pay for, there was an 87 minute hold to speak with customer service as you have no one availble to speak with at your offices.I need someone to get back to me asap, Im not paying additional money for services or anything as it is Banfields fault that I have to seek service elsewhere!Customer service finally got back to me and guess what? They refused to let me speak with a supervisor. I asked over 5 times to have my call transfered and was repeatedly told that a supervisor can't help me, then I was placed on hold. I will be reporting this horrible company to the BBB.

Brought our two cats in today, I ended up being almost 30 minutes past our appointment. I called ahead to let them know the mistake. When I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly staff who seemed to be more than understanding about my tardiness. After a short wait we were able to see the vet. Again she was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was a bit hesitant about the low rating so I wanted to share my experience in hopes that doesn't stop anyone from taking their pets there.

When I first picked Banfield, 12 years ago they really seemed to care about the animals! But over the years it's now all about the money! I don't have a problem with the staff, always nice and professional, my concern is the lack of sympathy the business side of the practice! My dog is now 12 and needs some meds for pain, but has a hard time on floors not carpeted, and also I know I have limited time with him, but they wouldn't refill his script unless I brought him in, well needless to say he was in misery trying to stay up when his legs kept slipping from under him! When the vet came out to us because he was having such a hard time, he wanted to know why he was even there, which is what I was saying, so he put in his records he didn't have to go in anymore! I even suggested that they put some runners that lead to one room for older dogs, which would be a cheap fix but they haven't done it! Thank you to the vet on duty on Sunday, who does care about the animals, but I shouldn't have to bring my baby in until it's time, which it going to be even harder since they can't put cheap runners for the dogs comfort!!!!!

So I had a new patient appointment today at 4:30pm with my puppy at the Deptford location. I get there and the receptionist tells me she doesn't see I have an appointment although I showed her my email confirmation. She said maybe I backed out the email and it never submitted shifting the blame to me even though I had the confirmation. She then speaks to the vet and tells me the only way they can see my puppy is if someone doesn't show up. The 4:30 appointment did show. I ended up leaving and making an appointment at a different vet. So not only did I drag my kids and puppy out in the rain, now my puppy is behind on shots. The service was awful in Deptford, NJ.

It will be three weeks tomorrow that we had to put our sweet old cat to sleep. Rachel was the vet tech who brought us in and guided us through the process, and Dr. Graziano was the vet who did the procedure. They were both kind and professional. They treated our pet with the utmost dignity and respect, and they were both sensitive to mine and my daughter's needs as well. Thank you both.

Banfield Deptford has a really nice staff and I like the fact that they are very compassionate when situations don't turn out the way you would like them to. I have only seen one doctor - Dr. Karwacki - and she is very kind and quite knowledgeable. Another factor that makes me happy is that they now have a small candle and sign on the counter that requests clients to keep noise down because, when lit, someone is saying goodbye to their companion. I have never tried their Wellness Plan, nor have I visited many times, so I am not aware of how good, or bad, their pricing for medication, testing, procedures, etc. is.

Taken our dogs there for years. This place is no good for anything except shot schedules, that's literally it. Our great Danes nose was bleeding so we took her there and they did an xray, didn't tell me what was wrong in the xray and then called me shortly after to tell me her nose bleeding got worse and said I had to come get her because they don't handle that kind of thing. They gave me xrays on a disc and I took her to an animal hospital and come to find out they gave me another dogs xrays. When I called the next day to get the correct xrays, the veterinarian was confrontational like I was lying. Why would I lie about that? Not going back there any longer. Extremely disappointed. Also canceling the premium wellness plan (monthly fee) is an insanely huge pain in the butt.Tldr: Go elsewhere.
