to whom it may concern,Please note that I am a customer that purchased a labrador at your store a few months ago, the average i spend in food at your locatios is over $200 a month since i have another dog, you guys have the WORST customer service level in the whole nation, I went today at 7pm to bath my dog and a stupid fat employee of yours was very disrispectful and told me she hate to be touch by dogs and that she only works at the register? for gods sake a dog is part of my family and i felt Insulted by your employee, do u know that petco loves to have dogs at their location? they actually do, why your people are so disrespectful, do u kwon the the average a customer like me spends a year at yopu store is more that $2000? that an unsatisfied customer will tell a bad experience to at least 8 to 10 people?? a month ago a purtchased a cage for a ginea pig, i returnned it 5 days after and your employee did not want to received it because "it was used" when it never was? i dont really doubt the time this company is very short, the cage dont matter it only costed me 30 dollars that i actually spend it in lunch anywhere but what your employee told me today offended me very bad, my 6 years daughter was very upset on the way she treated us and our dog, please check your cameras and make sure this kinf of behaviors dont happend often, for now i rather to go buy my stuff in petco where the customer level is 100% and will tell everyone I know how bad is your store.

This is one of those stores that has a few worthwhile things going for it that make it worth a trip, but more often than the dismal conditions, poor staff, and puppy-mill style treatment of the dogs are a major turn-off. That being said, if you want to find animal supplies, THIS is the place to go to. They have stuff that the big-chain stores don't carry and a lot of it is the same price or cheaper. They also have nice 20% or 5$ off coupons that you can use on anything except dog/cat food and live animals. They have a wonderful selection of bogwood/driftwood for aquariums. It is the only place around me that sells live feeder rats for my one of my finicky ball pythons.For dog/cat food they sell some of the harder to find brands, and they also sell Buffalo Blue cheaper than the other pet chains.Now, I would never buy any of the animals there (besides fish). I've been a customer at this store for close to 15 years and their treatment of animals have always been less than ideal and the staff are more often than not apathetic or not knowledgeable at all. Its sad but a lot of pet stores are run that way. They way they keep their dogs is awful and I'm not surprised when many of them develop behavioral/personality issues.However, depending on when you go, you can get one of the better educated fish department staffers and if you go on a good day, a lot of their freshwater fish are great quality. They carry a lot of really unique and rare pleco's as well. Over 60% of my fish come from Animals & Things, you just need to learn what a healthy fish looks like. (ie, oto's have a high mortality rate but the last batch that A&T had looked very good and all 4 of my fish are still going strong) The selection of the fish changes every week and usually if you ask the staffers for a specific fish they can try to get them for you.

Great place for animal supplies, poor place for animals.They have a big warehouse feel fully stocked with all kinds of dog and cat, reptile, and fish enclosures and set-up gear. If you are looking to buy or set up or even add to a fishtank this store has an enormous selection. However, the staff and facilitators know nothing about their reptiles, and many of them are kept in the wrong enviornments. I went to buy a Rosy Boa here, but could not because she was kept like a ball python for too long (they have opposite humidity requirements) and had obvious RI. Sad place for animals. The puppies are all cramped in puppy-mill style.

I visit this store regularly to buy ferret food. I can say they are very well stocked with everything I need for my ferrets when Pet Smart next door is never fully stocked with anything.. plus they are a bit cheaper than Pet Smart.. Thats pretty much where the good praise ends..Their store is FILTHY.. the ferret enclosure is disgusting. It doesnt get cleaned regularly at all. We were in there just this week looking at the ferrets and instead of CLEANING the enclosure, they decided to put a huge sticky fly trap on top of the cage in plan view to catch the flies instead of cleaning the cage to get rid of them.. I can just imagine the amount of maggots that are probably underneath the bedding that these poor animals have to live in there with..Ferrets arent even supposed to live in an enclosed plexiglass enclosure.. they are supposed to be in an open air CAGE so as to not develop lung issues etc..They puppies are cute, but their enclosures are small little cages with wired bottoms and these poor puppies live on that for months at a time sometimes.. Once in a while some of them may have an old rag in there to lay on.. The cages are dirty, the animals look so horribly uncomfortable.. Some of them look so dirty and raggedy.. Its heart breaking..I just wish they would clean up their act.. they could be a really GREAT store if they took better care of the animals..

Bought some new special dog food last week (first week of September). My dog got sick after eating it. Called the company and was told to look at the expiration date. The food had expired at the end of July. They are selling dog food that has been expired for over a month!
