great place. my wife and I stopped in just to get some information on fish and fish tanks as we have set up our first one for our kids. Keith was very knowledgeable and helpful and showed us around as well as the variety of fish. they even have a pond inside with a fish the length of my 2 year old in it 😂 if we decide to go all in this is where we will be going.

Haven't been in here for a couple of years. Stopped in on a whim, and I have to say, the new owner and staff are keeping up the level of service. They took the time to educate me on some things, and gave me some recommendations. They were super helpful and even showed me around all the cool reptiles and fish. Def worth stopping in.

Just the place you want to go to for everything that you need. yes you could go to Petco, petsmart or just go online. But you will never ever get the personal experience and advice and the feel of just going to the Aquarium with your kids as you would here with John and his expert team that are employed here. If you have a question he or his team has that answer. Thank you for what you do and how you make my family feel every time we go there.

I absolutely love this lil pop/mom fish store, the owner is always pleasant and helpful. He answered all my questions as a newbie fish owner 3 years ago, I go no where else now and have even traded in some fish when the get too big for my tank. He has everything thing you need, and tons of knowledge!

Visited the store a few months ago and ended up getting this beautiful Red Cap Oranda Goldfish. We named him “Ricotta”. ❤️ Excellent store and very knowledgeable staff! It makes me sad to see some people in the ratings blaming their fish loss on the store/new owner. Your fish can get sick for a million reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with the store itself, or their fish care. Grow up, and do some research before blaming a small business for your fish loss. 🙃 Anyway, thanks J.B. Tropical Fish! We will definitely be returning in the future!✨🐟

I would recommend this place to anyone interested in fish and reptiles. John sold the place and the new owner is absolutely wonderful, and he’s doing wonders with the business! He is passionate about the creatures in his care, clearly experienced, and very friendly to customers. I come in for frozen feeder rodents for my snakes about every other week and I’m absolutely enthused with the progress every time I enter. So much so that I’m willing to drive 40 minutes away to avoid purchasing from petsmart or Petco. Highly recommend.

Very healthy fish and inverts, not a lot in stock but you can ask him to order you what your looking for. Very nice corals for $20 frags, and live brine shrimp

LOVE the non big name chain store. They have been around alot longer then the bigger stores and I do hope they stay around longer we need more Mom and Pop owned establishments I love the extra knowledge and attention from stores like JB Tropical Fish...

Had a great first experience here. Picked up some Tetras and a Dwarf Gourami for the community tank. Fish are doing great and happy as could be. Will be going back soon for more fish. Thanks JB Tropical!!

Jbs the only place i go i wont buy feeder fish or my family freinds anywhere else the owner is a great guy tons of info at the drop of a dime they give u the one on one help an knowledge u need to take care of your family friends weather your are starting new for the first time or someone whos a vet whos been working with tanks for a long time an need some help with new chemicals an things to fix number one place to go i will be going to jbs tropical fish until im dead they have my business forever period i highly recommended dont waste your time at petsmart or other expensive shops who charge you a arm an a leg to take care of you family freinds jbs tropical fish is you one stop shop with great prices an even better staff keep up the great work ill see you in a few days my boyz are getting hungry again 😊

I was a bit concerned when I learned John had sold the business. Being a customer since the late 80s, I wasn’t to find if the impending change. Fast forward to today, the new owner has been a total blessing for my hobby. He has brought in different fish and if he doesn’t have what you want, he gets it. He also won’t sell anything if he feels there is a potential health issue. Can’t say the same for some of the bigger local fish stores. If you are into planted tanks, the quality is amazing and his prices are rolled back to a fraction of the competition. If you haven’t given Dave and his family a chance, I am telling you that you won’t be sorry. Knowledge is there and Dave and his wife are amazingly friendly owners. To make things even better, they always offer my grandsons the opportunity to pet or touch some of the reptiles. At age 2 and 4, they look forward to a trip to the fish store.Thank you for the great job you are doing for the hobby! JBs has been a one stop shop for a long time. JB has been a great place to go. However when I was there today, there was no one to help me get my fish. One person in the store first chatting with a customer who was leaving and then busy taking in an order. So, I had to leave empty handed. Very disappointing to have driven 17 miles for nothing

Loved the old owner. Now it's under new management and it has made the place so much better. The people in there are nice and helpful, and you can tell they have a passion for, fish and reptile. If you are coming here for live mice be sure to come in on the weekends, as that is when they get resupplied. They sell fast so it's rare to get some during the week.

I am so mad at myself!! I should have researched great fish stores (new aquarium person) instead of going to the big box stores. This is a GREAT fish store! I wanted rice fish... Could'nt find them anywhere. You guessed it JB has them. I now have white cloud mountain minnows and space is limited... Maybe next year (for sure). Prices are also GREAT!!! People are super friendly, make this your go to fish store. You will not be sorry!
