It's such a great place to let your dogs run free. The property is very well maintained, and the people were super friendly. They even had fresh running water and dog bowls, although I am told they have to shut the water off in the dead of winter, which is totally understandable. It had recently rained a lot so there were some large areas of water. An added bonus in my dogs opinion. There was definitely plenty of room to run that was dry as well.Dog-friendliness: Best dog park in Cape May County

Separated areas for small or large dogs, fresh water plumbing, benches for sitting, gazebo, and things for climbing. About 300 yards from the surf. Entrance is from the boardwalk, which has public restrooms.

We had a really great time at Wildwood. Our pet enjoyed the dog park first and then we walked to the beach. We kept her leashed at all times like everyone else was doing. Lots of lifeguards on duty until 4:30ish. Then they left and most of the people stayed. After sunset we enjoyed the boardwalk. It is very classic, not fancy but extremely enjoyable. Amusement parks and food stores for everyone.Playground: Big playground for dogs. Split between large and small breeds. There is a gazebo at the center where you can hide from the sun. Otherwise there are no shadow areas within the playground. There are some pools, exercise equipment to jump over, run through and run over. The coolest I've ever seen. Great job ๐!Restrooms: There are restrooms close to the playground. Men's were clean and tidy.Dog-friendliness: The whole area is dog friendly though I didn't see any unleashed dogs while the beach was crowded. After the sun started to go down and less people were around I saw a few (super quiet) dogs walking unleashed.

This was the perfect place for my pup. Most of the beaches I researched don't allow dogs during summer months. I chose this one specifically because it has a designated dog-friendly section. We enjoyed going earlier in the morning (9-11am-ish) and later in the day (4-7pm-ish) when it was less crowded. The beach became noticeably busier around 11:30, but the midday heat was too much for my older dog anyway so that was the perfect time for us to take a break. On the days we were there, the other owners were all good about keeping their dogs leashed and at a respectful distance to prevent issues. My dog also enjoyed going off leash a bit in the fenced in dog park. If I could make one request, it would be for showers or some kind of clean water access near the entrance to this area from the street to avoid taking so much sand home, but there is no charge for admission and the place is great so we were happy. At the times we were there, we ended up finding very convenient street parking for about $4-5 for a couple of hours.

Lots of room for the dogs to run around and play. There are bowls and fresh water available for the puppies. There are two sides, one for large dogs and one for small ones. We've been there a few times, the people are always friendly and the dogs always have a good time.

My Jax loves this park. He runs with the big dogs and they have lots of sand mountains, and obstacles for them to run around and lay in the sand to cool down. The park has water to fill dog bowls and it's a little tiny pool, for one big dog to get in, my Jax really don't get in the pool he likes the ocean though which is where we go when we leave the dog park, so we make a day of it and it's a lot of fun!

We saw lots of Dolphins!! We are definitely coming back!!Playground: Very big and spacious and clean. Nice breezy day.Restrooms: Clean, friendly staff. This spot is across from the Dog park, so it's convenient.Dog-friendliness: The dogs were friendly, playful, enjoyed the water. All the Dogs behaved. They did not run around, all dogs are on leashes and behaved.

My dog seemed to enjoy the park. We went on a hot day so he got tired fairly quickly. There is a hose and tub to cool off the dogs if they overheat and plenty of shade. There is also interesting obstacles they can play with but most dogs donโt seem too intrigued by them. I am unsure of how the staff could clean the park, but it does have an odor of urine which is somewhat to be expected since it is a dog park, but also makes you wonder how sterile it is. The sand itself is also textured oddly which isnโt reassuring

Best dog park, right on the sand. Big areas for small and large dogs. It has shade for people and dogs and water for dogs, and great scenery. Love it! I wish dogs were allowed on the boardwalk and I wish the dog beach was larger, but it is still worth going. One suggestion, if you go on a hot summer day and want to walk out to the ocean, bring booties for your dog as the sand gets too hot for their paws until you get near the water. It's a very deep beach

Fun activities and props for dogs. Well maintained and friendly people and dogs. Running water and shade considerations. My only minor objection was the plant with burrs growing against the fence.

Beautiful beach โฑ and dog park! Took our two pitty mixes here yesterday and they loved it so much. It tired them out SO MUCH, that they slept the ENTIRE 3 hours home! Pretty clean too. They allow big dogs, which is usually rare. Dogs loved it! Would recommend and def will return. Thanks wildwood! Lovely gentleman runs the parking lot for the dog beach, paid $10 for the whole day (we got there at 10am) the price changed later on. ($20) when we left at 3. So glad we went! ๐ค๐ถ๐๐

We take a family trip once a year and always love it. The stores are great and not too outrageous with their pricing for souvenirs or food. And the beach is very well kept though if you want to avoid crowds on the beach go later in the day.

Our favorite dog beach. It's never too crowded. Wildwood is always updating the dog beach to make sure it's in great shape. I went back after a year and there's more agility obstacles for the pups, plenty of fresh water and separate entrances for large and small dogs. There's a little shaded pavilion if you want to sit down and cool off too. There's poop bags in case you forgot yours and tons of toys for dogs to play with.

I took our 1 year old pup for the first time this weekend, she absolutely loved this GIANT area! Everyone's pups were super gentle and playful, the pup owners were friendly and helpful (I was super over protective of my pup as she has never been around other dogs before!) There are toys/balls/ropes/frisbees/obstacle courses for the pups to run and play, it is a gated area (park) with one side designated for bigger dogs and another side with fencing in between for the little pups (or big pups) to feel safe while playing. There are hoses with water bowls and pools for the pups to enjoy! All around a fun experience for your fuzzy friend to feel the sand in their paws & enjoy the ocean!

Oh man, this is a little slice of heaven. The dog run is fantastic. Well maintained with a good amount of dogs and fun agility obstacles. But the really winner is the beach. Dogs allowed? Great. Dogs can go into the water? No way! No day time our restrictions? Perfect! While the dog beach area doesn't cover that wide a portion of the beach, it's big enough to accommodate a good number of visitors and it's pretty quiet. Our pup had a great time lounging in the sand and playing with a few other pups by the water. She made sure to bring home all the sand and was tuckered out.Wish there were more beaches like this.

My dog Chuckie the Chocolate Lab #TeamChuckie has never been to the ocean before and this is the perfect place! The beach is long, so bring a beach cart for all your pet supplies, but there is a mini boardwalk that runs most of the way to the shore, which is helpful. Dogs are welcome to get in the water (while on leash) between the cones. So much fun!

Awesome day ๐, weather was a blessing, parking is outrages though $50, $40, $30 and games now you have to use a card and prices are a dollar and up. Food prices went up too. Plan to have more money than expected.

We bring our dog here all the time. We're locals down here and when my kids come down with their 3 dogs we all go. It's even open during Boardwalk construction. Just enter by Laura's Fudge under the Boardwalk or go up onto the Boardwalk and down the steps.Playground: DOG PARK COULD USE BETTER BENCHES FOR SITTINGRestrooms: In season bathrooms nearbyDog-friendliness: Perfect for dogs. We have come to Wildwood and the Dog Park is a great feature for pets. There are two areas fenced off - one for large breeds and one for small breeds. Both feature a nice selection of ramps, tunes, and sand dunes for dogs to play and climb on. That section of the beach is also open all day for dogs to enjoy with their families.

We loved thisndog park while vacationing. Great to burn off that puppy energy. weekend could be a little crowded and hectic in the summer. Our pup is pretty social so he did not mind. Lots of room to run and water available. Also has a separate section for small dog breeds. We heard its allowed to bring your dog down to the ocean right in fron of this part but we didnt get a chance. Cant wait to return.

Liked the fact it was free, fenced in so dogs can play and explore w/o leash, doggie scoop bags, fresh water was supplied, and they separated big dogs from the smaller ones! You can take your furbabies down to the water before or after doggie park.

Would you setup up your beach towel and stuff in kitty litter? Even when cleaned? Think about it. This is what it is for dogs, one big kitter litter beach for dogs. For the week I stayed, almost every dog was on a leash. Only one appeared not to have a leash. The area is big and the beach is just like the non-dog beach areas. The only concern is the fecal matter in the sand. I did see poop not cleaned up, only once though. Even when cleaned up by hand, not sure how sanitary the sand is. I gather it has more pee and fecal matter than other beaches. Something to think about. I find it odd the water is tested frequently but the these beaches are not tested at all for bacteria. That said, it is great for dog owners and dog lovers. And before anyone dismisses this review, I stayed on the dog beach a few times. It was okay just not sure how sanitary it is.

Brought both our dogs here! A pretty sizable portion of the beach is devoted to dogs!My only minor complaint is that people without dogs use the dog beach, which takes away from the dogs and dog owners, just a slight annoyance but wonโt keep us from coming back!
