One of the best Shop Rites in NJ. Prices are more higher than most supermarkets but with inflation out of control right now I will be lenient in my review. While prices are high but when it comes to costumer service , that is where this store shines. Very helpful employees. A top notch meat department, the bakery makes some delicious brownies and oatmeal cookies. Great bagels, doughnuts and every thing is so easy to find in this store. The lay out is great. The store is always clean and all employees are always smiling so you know the store is very well managed. Oh and lets not forget some of the best produce. My favorite the cosmic crisp apples. So delicious.Most of the time I shop at night time. The Cashier Jerome is one of the most nice and helpful people of the night crew employees. I would give this place more than 5 stars all because he is one of the most helpful employees, and very fun to talk to. If you are looking for a great place to food shop, I would highly recommend checking them out. You will not be disappointed.

Great place love the fact it's open 24 hrs and and have much more different items better buys then any Shoprite ,and great Vegetables, section big hot food center ,and all the people that work there are helpful and nice ,better then going to Sussex County when all there stores close at 9:00pmDown there the Walmart is even open till 11pm.thsnk you Shoprite if Wharton !!🙂💯🇺🇸

Just a small request- can the store baked breads be a little crispier? The French banquette feels like it was just stuck in a microwave. Everything else is A++ about this store. The store baked breads feel like play dough. I don’t have the time to visit Wegman’s or Paris Baguette to get a crispy loaf during the week.

I would like to appreciate current Bakers specifically Cake ones. Ordered custom cake and it was really wonderful and tasty. All kids in party enjoyed and asked for more. Thanks for it.

Google say the Rockaway store is closer bit I prefer the Wharton store. I know you say WHY it's ShopRite. I say WHY YES it is. Walk in to Dunkin Donuts for your Hot Chocolate while you shop. Then you see some pretty flowers no no no wait until you leave to get the roses. The fruit salads are to the right along with your fresh veggies and fruits. Apples, Oranges, Grapes, Strawberries and Bananas in the cart. Let's get some fresh broccoli, asparagus, carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, spinach. I need some fresh herbs thyme, parsley and mint.I can't make a chef's salad without the deli meat. Take a ticket wait for you number to be called. Turkey, pastrami, salami, ham, roast beef and cheese. Only problem is what kind of cheese do I want American, Swiss, Muenster and Harvati. Salad will be good but let's make a sandwich. Bakery is there for some fresh baked bread French bread Italian loafs Rye bread or rolls.Now I am not going to go through the whole store. You know how good ShopRite is. It is the number 1 Supermarket in the state hands down. Wharton location is my go to spot also the hot food section is a great place to get lunch.

Went there last month and asked if they could grind a piece of meat for me ( grumpy butcher) and was told that since the meat is on sale they cannot do it, apparently it’s a store policy (??) It never happened to me before in any other Shoprite, or grocery store, I mean it doesn’t cost them anything. Stopped going there and so did my friends.

Debra at the deli counter is the nicest person in Shop Rite and she makes an awesome sandwich!I recently tried the online order and pick up app. I have to say it is very well done. I reserved a time in the morning for the afternoon. I was able to find all the items I wanted, especially the app recognizes past purchases. The young lady who brought me my items after only waiting a few minutes, was very polite and helpful. Everything was already bagged. I do miss going inside the store but since there are only a few cash registers and mostly self check out, which I despise, I will stick to the online ordering app. My only criticism is other chains like target, do not charge for you to pick it up. ShopRite charges five dollars, which is not the end of the world. I do hope that ShopRite will follow suit from other chains around the world that are lessening the number of the self check out question and are putting on more cashiers.

Nice big store with a big parking lot,traffic is very busy at this location so plan your route ahead of time! Clean store with plenty of staff and fresh food and checkout is a breeze with lots of self checkouts or if you need assistance there are lots of cashiers ready to help

Reviews seem pretty good for this Shoprite but my experience has been subpar. First off the parking lot is a mess, the customers are rude, and the employees I’ve encountered, mostly at self checkout are not the friendliest. They’re typically young and full of attitude. My last encounter with an employee named Gadiel giving me a stare down and mouthing some words under his breath. Even though I submitted a survey and requested a call back, I never got one which is typical of establishments when they know they’re dealing with a disgruntled customer. So these surveys tend to be a waste of time. I always use the self checkout so that I can get in and out as quickly as possible avoiding any negative interactions with employees or other shoppers but the few employees seem to want to tell you how to use the self checkout. I’ve given this Shoprite many chances to change my mind but they continue to keep disappointing. So I’ll just be going elsewhere.

Eat prepared food adjacent to the deli area at your own risk. Dec 18 I purchased and consumed a grilled chicken sandwich and within 5 minutes I got sick as a dog. This is the third time something like this has happened so its partly my fault however this has to be a preparation and procedural issue. I've picked up pre made salads before and the bottom of the container is brown slime...unacceptable.

I really hate going here because my stress level goes up. Between the rude and then the inconsiderate customers and the parking lot from hell. That was designed by Satan himself. I had several nervous breakdown in ShopRite. It's overcrowded

Thanksgiving Bundle...$149.00Ham and Turkey enjoyed by all, good value for the money, also included big container of gravy..the gravy didn't come out well in photo I took,...we picked up cranberry sauce and a pumpkin pie with a whipped cream can. Brussel sprouts needed about 10 more minutes in the oven...and we will make a tray of green bean casserole with cream of mushrooms and fried onions....

ShopRite has a serious problem with their own line of milk. Today I bought a gallon of milk and it is bad. This is the fourth time this year we've bought a gallon and it is sour days before the sell by date stamped on it. Go some where else to shop.

Vegetables and Fruit went downhill with most going bad once you get them home twice as fast as they used to. I used to buy my meats there but not anymore. I won't buy fish from the fish department but I can't blame them for that because most fish in North Jersey is not good.JM

This is why I come to this ShopRite and also the dessert look appetizing it clean organized and everyone is constantly doing something to make sure that customers keep coming back they even have manager specials.... Which other ShopRite do not have wish all ShopRite were like this one Hoboken ShopRite take some lessons from this ShopRite 👍

For a supermarket it's very nice. It's open 24 hours a day with the exception of major holidays. There's lots of common foodstuffs as well as some upscale items. The employees are kind and helpful. There's a customer service desk where they help people resolve any potential problems and answers questions.Nice varied selection of produce even off-season and overall a good place to get tasty food. It can get a little hectic and crowded on very busy days such as Saturday or Sunday afternoon or around holidays but that's with most stores.Decent parking and there's a dedicated liquor store off to the side. There's also a small Dunkin donuts near the entrance and a place to get fresh cooked hot food from the buffet.This place is convenient and clean. And the staff are very helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend going here

Every time I request a diff product it seems shoprite can never get it…a ton of almond and oat milk creamers but no coconut creamers, esp with brands SR already sells! Also PLEASE keep your cashiers home when they obviously are sick…sneezing, coughing, red nose…thanks for the germs!

There's nothing lacking here, you can even get wine & beer next door, yet without leaving the store. They have a large produce section, always fully stocked, they have a fresh deli, seafood & meat counter for special orders, they offer a large, (at least 3 rows) of freezer sections. Lots of fresh dairy products, hardware, beauty & health, animal food & toys, seasonal items and a bakery are all at your service! And you don't need a quarter for a shopping cart!

This is my local shoprite. I am there 2 times a week every week. Generally this is a great store but nobody is perfect. And for the prices it's def worth going. BUT... I recently complained to the produce manager about the tomatoes being refrigerated. I showed him a tomato that was recently put out that had layer of condensation on the outside. He wasn't impressed and shrugged his shoulders. He assured me they weren't and are kept in store room. Whether it's a refrigerator or not it's too cold. The tomatoes are always mealy and I can't buy them there. They need to do something about about storage of the tomatoes. May seem small but I use ALOT of tomatoes and to not be able to buy them during my regular shopping is frustrating. The photos show shiny and dull tomatoes. The dull ones were the cold ones put on top. It's condensation that's making them look dull.

Employees are rude. I was in the line for self checkout and an employee just cut right in front of my to buy his stuff. It use to be a nice store with very courteous employees but it seems to be a worse experience every time I go back.

Worst place to ever buy fish. At its premium the sockeye salmon still has scales, bones, but worst of all the fish always smells awful. Enough time passes where I forget to stay clear and then remember how bad it always is.Hopefully this review helps remind me in the future.

Management of this location is rather poor. Went in on a Wednesday at 12:30pm lines for self check out where long enough to get in the way of people coming out of multiple isles. I decided no big deals I will grab a few things later. I will just grab a small container of chicken and broccoli by the hot food, as I wait by the register by the hot food, no greeting no apologies for the inconvenience, just me standing there waiting to be helped then. Staff pointing to the ridiculously long line telling me “go there” I left my food by the register I was at after asking politely can’t you just ring me up and people who where just on their phones told me they where busy.

First time I came here with my wife and parents, we left soon after sitting down. The reason, it was packed and the waitress told us the kitchen was backed up. People looked happy and the staff were hustling.Visited this past week and it was less packed. Staff was helpful and happy. Pizza was on point and the Sara's Mac And Cheese was delicious.Will definitely return when I'm in the area!
