This review is long overdue, we took our 20 year old dog Buddy to see Dr Steele back in April of this year. We had just moved up to the area and our regular vet office closed for renovation. My dog was at the end of his life and our family was struggling with the very difficult decision before us. Dr Steele probably spent hours on the phone with us, we were trying to keep him comfortable and we just really needed a professional to stay in touch with at a very difficult time. I can't thank her enough for her compassion and patience with us. Sorry I didn't get around to posting this review sooner.

Was new to West Milford two years ago, and one of my biggest concerns was finding the right vet for my small dog. Had heard about a few that weren’t so amazing. Thought I’d try out loving care since it is so close to my house. Best choice I could have made. Never have met a vet who is so thorough and caring until now. One thing that stuck out to me specifically is how cautious Doctor Steele is. A prior vet once gave a bunch of vaccines all at once to my very small dog, who then had a very scary reaction due to having so many at once. Doctor Steele right away mentioned to us she would be spacing out my dogs vaccines due to her size. I knew then she would always have my dogs best interest. She is always taking her time to accurately diagnose and care for her patients, and won’t hesitate to spend a whole day caring for an animal in need. After hearing so many horror stories about other vets in the area, I know I made the best possible choice for my dog, and don’t plan on ever going elsewhere.

Dr Steele and staff are hands down the best around! They truly live up to their “loving care” name. The care is nothing but outstanding! The staff is so friendly, accommodating, and caring! Dr Steele always takes the time to explain everything in detail and answer any questions you may have. I’ve never felt rushed or left there with the feeling that my dog wasn’t in good hands. There have been countless times where my dog Brooklyn needed to have an emergency visit and without hesitation they squeezed me into their already packed schedule no questions asked! (Cant thank you guys enough for all those times!) If your looking for a vet then look no further, you won’t be disappointed!

I was thrilled when Loving Care opened and was so close to home. Not only did I love the convenience of its location, but the attention and care with which Dr. Steele and her staff treated my dog, really the sealed the deal for me. Dr. Steele spent ample time examining my dog, Tipsy, and made sure to answer all of my questions. I did not realize just how sick my dog was when I first brought her in, but Dr. Steele took all necessary steps to getting her diagnosed and treated effectively. I am happy to report that her Lyme and kidney disease was accurately diagnosed and with the help of the right medication and diet modification, Tipsy is healthier at 13 than ever before! Dr. Steele lives up to the impeccable reputation that precedes her and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with the true loving care with which she will care for your pet.

I was a little apprehensive about how my dog would be but he was welcomed with open arms. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. They quickly and efficiently took care of all his needs and they enjoyed him as much as he enjoyed them. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Steele and the whole staff. Our furry-baby needed knee surgery and I honestly have to say that I would have lost my mind if we had the surgery anywhere else. They are so patient, responsive and loving to our girl. I haven't had a lot of experience with Vets but, if Loving Care is a reasonable option, based on location you will not be disappointed. I can't wait until covid restrictions end and we can go in and thank the staff personally.FOLLOW UP: Post surgery we took our pup back for cold laser therapy. It was a complete game-changer. Our girl was in pain and was therefore resistant to increased usage. We bought a therapy package and she was back to her old self in no time. Absolutely recommended for post-surgery or post-injury treatment. Our experience made me a believer and yet again, the entire team at Loving Care bolstered our confidence and took care of our girl. THANK YOU!!!

We just started going to Loving Care and could have had a better experience. Dr Steele was able to quickly get us an appointment when our kitten was sick and provided excellent care. We went during Covid restrictions and the staff was wonderful. They came and took our kitten from our car and then called us to tell us exactly what was going on while she was inside. The entire process was super easy. Dr Steele was so kind, caring and through. Thank you so much for the excellent care you provided our new family member.

Excellent staff and Dr.Although they were far from me, they were the only vet who could help me with my diabetic cat when my regular vet couldn’t. Worth the trip! Excellent treatment and my cat was able to some quality attention rather than sit in a cage. Very reasonable pricing to considering it was a special case. Highly recommend.

Loving Care is the only place I trust with my puppy Ozzy! We were recommended by my aunt who brings her two puppies Jeremiah and Journey, and we have been thrilled with their service ever since. I thought not being able to go inside with him due to COVID would be hard, but Amanda is always so happy to see him and vice versa that I actually look forward to bringing him. Dr. Steele is attentive and happy to go over everything with us and answer all our questions as new puppy parents. The reception staff, Jenelle & Susan, are so sweet and take the time to schedule all future appointments. They have been nothing but accommodating, caring, and helpful. I know Ozzy is in GREAT hands when we bring him there. 5 stars for sure!!!

The office staff is extremely professional and friendly! The doctor’s assistant were great with my crazy daisy and very patient! I love dr Steele! She is extremely knowledgeable and she was so good to my dog. She listened to my concerns and treated accordingly! So happy they opened here!!!!

I just moved back to town and had an emergency with my cat today. I called Dr. Steele’s office and they squeezed Cecil without hesitation. Susan, the receptionist/technician, was so amazing. She was reassuring and patient. They took Cecil for the day and gave me updates. I spoke with Dr. Steele at the end of the day and she was incredibly informative and caring. Despite never being here before, they treated me as if Cecil had been a patient here forever. I work in healthcare and can genuinely appreciate communication and comprehensive work ups, and they excelled in both. The tech who brought Cecil out at the end of the day was super sweet as well and I could tell they all took care of my cat like he was their own. I highly recommend Dr. Steele & her team. Thank you guys so much!

Dr. Steele is fabulous. She truly saved my cat Orchid who is suffering from kidney disease. She is very professional, caring and responsive as are her entire staff. I travel an hour and 15 minutes to bring my cat to her because of her wonderful care and recommend her very highly.

I don't often feel compelled to write reviews but when it comes to those who take extra good care of my dogs (Mia & Tank), today is an exception.To start with the obvious, COVID has created a unique environment for all businesses and curb side vet visits definitely fall into this bucket.My dogs were handled with great care, even Tank who was being a bit of a jerk in the parking lot out of fear didn't cause anyone to be concerned or even hesitate. Instead they just reassured me it was no big deal and we moved forward.Dr. Steele called to let me know everything they did, asked if I'd like additional services, was always transparent about pricing (and fair), and overall - it was as uneventful and smooth as I could hope for.Can't overstate the comfort in knowing we have a great local vet hospital to rely on. Thanks again everyone who deal with my dogs (and me) today!

While I have absolutely nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff, the policies and procedures is why I will only give the office 3 stars. Again, everyone is fabulous and wonderful with our dog. The appt times however leave much to be desired. Several times I have arrived for our dog’s appt only to wait sometimes upwards of a half hour until they get him. People’s time is valuable and to be kept waiting that long is not professional. Also, we were advised in an email that they were finally allowing 1 party to go in with pet. I arrived to find out that was not the case with certain appts. The communication is extremely confusing and leaves me feeling frustrated that we cannot accompany our pet into the office who happens to be anxious to begin with. These areas definitely need work.

My family and I can't thank Dr Steele and her staff enough for helping our sweet girl. Our pup suddenly became lethargic and lost her appetite on Monday night. Dr Steele got us in early Tuesday morning drew some blood to send to the lab. Turns out she had a flair up of her tick disease from last year. Since she wasn't drinking too much and was dehydrated, they gave her some IV fluids for the day and sent her home on some Antibiotics. Thanks to Dr Steele and her staff our girl is getting back to her happy normal self ♥️

Do not bring your animal here, you make an appoinment and wind up waiting 45 minutes for the appoinment. The vet employees pick and choose who can go into the office behind the plexi glass with the vet. A puppy was in to see the vet and had a few people behind the plexi glass, then I’m told I have to stay on the other side of the plexi glass, if you do that do it for everyone don’t pick and choose. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL NOT RIGHT

Dr. Steel met me at her office after hours for an emergency visit even though we have never been to her before. She was extremely patient and thorough and took such great care of my dog Ruby. She knew exactly what was wrong with her and she is so much better now. I will Definately be changing veterinarians and going to Dr. Steel from now on. Thank you Dr. Steel! You’re amazing! 😃

Went with my 2 small dogs ( babies )for nail trim was told $22 each and they wanted me to pay $101 they said my girls were difficult, told them they should off told me about price increase before doing the job . Ended up paying $81( over Priced) will not be back !
