Everytime I use their pharmacy there is a problem. A prescription is called in and when I go pick it up they “didn’t receive it” but when the office calls it is magically received. Or they need “more time to work on it” when it was called in two hours ago. Or just being overall unhelpful. Usually when I am using a pharmacy it is because I don’t feel good and having to deal with the back and forth with them everytime is ridiculous.

This Walgreens is def understaffed. Recently went to pick up scripts. Drive thru was closed When I went in the store there were 12 customers ahead of me at the pharmacy and I waited 30 minutes to pick up 2 prescriptions. This is a frequent occurrence... ugh!

If I could give zero stars I would! I work in a physicians office and have been trying to call to speak to a pharmacist for two days. I called 8 times and the phone just rang and rang and rang. Finally I had to call the store manager and she said she would have someone pick up. NO ONE picked up! I called the manager a second time and insisted they walk back and put someone on the phone. When they finally did the pharmacist refused to look into the situation. unreal!

I'm switching to a small family owed pharmacy. They claimed they never got a rx from neurologist so I called the office it was sent 3x. It's been 3 months and I never got that rx for when needed. Another doctor called in 2 meds never got them. Today my dentist called in an antibiotic, i called twice and they said again never got a rx. Worst place imaginable. Don't go here.

I don't know if the pharmacy techs are taking the drugs there or are brain dead. Seriously. Very very incompetent. After numerous issues with basic prescription filling Im changing pharmacies.

Started to write a review the other day and figured i was over reacting thinking maybe it was an off day at the pharmacy. But i realized today that no, this pharmacy has gone down hill. It hasn’t reached the level of “dont go here” status like the CVS down the road, but something has definitely changed. I drove with a friend to the pharmacy on a Sunday night to grab a filled rx. There were a few cars on the drive through line, so i could see it was busy. But after 15mins of waiting and not moving in line i offered to go inside while my friend stayed in line to see if that would be faster. I was only picking up a rx… how hard can that be? Well, walking in to see the pharmacy line down the aisle with 10+ people on it, i could not wrap my head around what was happening at the register? Aside from the pharmacy not making efforts to expedite customers who were waiting over 30mins on line for FILLED RXs, they were blatantly ignoring people on the drive through line. At one point i spoke with the manager of the store encouraging her to help the pharmacy out as they were clearly struggling. As i went back outside to the drive through line( to continue to wait) the woman ahead of us buzzed the drive through window 3xs within a matter of 15mins, only to drive off without being helped. It took me knocking on the window and calling out the very poor behavior to be helped. I figured this was a busy night and that everyone was stressed so leave it alone. But just today, again, i pull up to the drive through window to drop off a rx. Theres a young woman at the window who shortly after walks away. A minute or two later another young woman walks over, only to look at the computer , not acknowledging me, or saying ill be right with you… once again i had to knock to call attention to the fact i was waiting. Im not sure when people just started not giving af about their job or customer service but thats exactly the vibe that is given here. I mean outside of the pharmacy attitude toward customer service, the store seems decent. At least they have items in stock! But idk maybe im from a different world where people say hello, or acknowledge you when they see you. But hey if you are going to act that way toward me, just expect that same energy back. I can imagine that level of negative energy is draining .

This has got to be the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to. There's always long waits. The staff is rude and have an attitude. They're always running out of medications, and they are always having issues with my profile in their system. Forget ever trying to call them too! They just put you on hold until you give up and hang up.

This Pharmacy has never let me down, They go out of there way all the time always answering my concerns. Yes wait times have gotten longer but not the fault of the people who work there. It is the only pharmacy open 24 hours and the get over whelmed with requests. Also staffing issues and covid also play apart. Have respect for the people who are working and doing there best with what they have to work with. Be respectful

This Walgreens in West Long Branch is an abomination! The pharmacy is horrible. It takes two days to get a prescription filled! Hope you don’t need to start taking your script immediately or need that script filled immediately because you are so in need of it because it won’t happen at this Walgreens. They screw up prescriptions and take it upon themselves to detach your prescription brand when your profile clearly says brand only not substitutions! They don’t have your prescriptions available. They have to be ordered and take a week or two to obtain. The people in the pharmacy dept. ask you private questions why you are taking a prescription that are none of their business ! These individuals also lie to you and tell you drugs that are prescribed to you have been discontinued when they clearly have not been discontinued. I transferred my prescriptions to this pharmacy for convenience but it had been nothing but inconvenience! I am transferring my prescriptions once again!

My wife had dental surgery and was given a prescription for pain meds. She went to the pharmacy in West long branch and They made her wait 3 hours an then told her they couldn't fill the prescription because they can't get a hold of the doctor. This was on a Friday so we couldn't talk to the doctor until Monday. Once we did contact the doctor he said no one from walgreen's had called or left a message. She tried to get the script filled at another pharmacy but they wouldn't fill it because the staff at walgreen's wrote all over the script. She had to go all weekend in pain until we were able to get another script from the doctor. The staff in this pharmacy should not treat people this way and should be fired. Shame on you Walgreens for hiring people such as this.

10/31/23: I just had to handle an issue for a family member whose medication could not be processed through insurance. I spoke to LIZ (PHARMACIST) and (I'm sure she set herself back because greedy Walgreens Corporate expects her to work like AI/a Robot.) she was genuine, sincere, fast, efficient, advised about the value of ointment as opposed to the cream, and she deserves To be honoreed. You know, the pharmacists' and the clerks' jobs are hard. On top of Covid-19 and all of the demands, protocols and other tasks created for employees in the pharmacy, they are expected to work "non-stop," at an elevated/fast pace all day and night! Pharmacists often work 12 hour days. Have some mercy for them. They want to make sure your order is accurate and they want to do their jobs well. Most often, theirs' is a thankless job. Have mercy. Be kind. We are living in a different world now; a world that does not slow down and cares for no one. It's up to us as people to treat one another empathetically, and with honor where it is due.----------------Larry is very nice and helpful. The woman who works in cosmetics, I believe her name is Sophie, a complete and wonderful gem! Dealing with someone who does not want to help is like pulling one's eyeball through one's nostril so I am thankful for Larry and the woman who runs the cosmetics section... :)

Worst customer service ever. I used them because they are open 24/7 and said my I regular pharmacy is closed and I will get this medicine before my regular Pharmacy opens which indeed was not the case it took them over 12 hours to fill a prescription which should have taken 3 minutes. When I got to the counter to pick up the prescription the pharmacist could not care less that I was there and made me wait over 15 minutes till somebody came to the counter to assist me when there was no other customers in sight. This Walgreens is the worst Pharmacy ever

This is the worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. 45 minutes standing in line waiting while employees complained about how unfair there work conditions were. Check out the line that wraps throughout the store. Like watching paint dry.

The store is nice, the cashiers are nice, the pharmacy is usually great but I’m assuming because of Covid spikes and staffing issues the pharmacy wait times have been long. The prescriptions get filled quickly but the lines are very long. Other reviewers fail to see (or care about) the circumstances that are causing the long wait times. It’s not the fault of the people who work there. Get vaccinated.

Worst pharmacy to deal with. Constantly ridiculously long waits, waiting area is always full of people, they never seem to have anyone’s insurance info correct, nothing is ready within a reasonable window of when they say a prescription will be ready. The only reason I’m with Walgreens at all is that my insurance doesn’t contract with CVS anymore and this is the closest one. Needs some serious remediation to be even halfway acceptable.

Do not use this pharmacy. drive through this closed they do not honor the express pick up line and wait times are typically 1 hour+. If you ever need to call your pharmacy don’t bother as they do not use the telephone. You can try but most time you can wait for 45 minutes and then get hung up on. Pharmacy staff is consistently unhelpful and rude and I mean all of them. Everything that you do not want in a pharmacy can be found here and I struggle to understand how Walgreens has their name up on this establishment.

They have really gone downhill. I placed an order online for two packs of heartburn meds. The pick up process was smooth, but when I got home, one of the boxes didn't have the bottle of pills in it. I called and they told me to 'come back and they will see what they can do'. I didn't bother wasting a trip back.I also had scheduled my booster shot and had an appt. I got there a few minutes before my appt time, only to see a large group of people waiting and was told the wait would be over 40 minutes. Perhaps instead of scheduling the appt in 10 minute intervals, they should space them out more so they don't get backlogged.They also changed the drive up to covid testing only. However, they don't tell you until you've been waiting in line for over 20 minutes and pull up to the window. A sign at the entrance to the drive through should be put up so people know.I'll definitely be switching my family's prescriptions to another pharmacy.

Absolute clown show. Had a Dr. Call in a script. Called 30 minutes after to check when it would be ready and they advised they were behind and couldn’t check the voicemail for appx 90 minutes. Called back to hours later to get the status and they said they hadn’t checked the voicemail yet and were so far behind they wouldn’t be able to give me an ETA. This occurred at 07:30pm on a Monday night.

The pharmacy in this place is an absolute embarrassment. I’m not sure if they need more competent employees or they are just short staffed but I have never seen such a mess in my life. Every single time, which is every month, they takes hours to fill a prescription when they know I’m waiting. I wouldn’t say they are rude but some just seem clueless and like robots. It is hands down, the worst pharmacy I’ve ever encountered in my 40+ years of life. They fill partial prescriptions, sometimes one and not another. It all equates to me waiting longer in frustration. I can go on and on, but I saw 3 people walk away in disgust today and I wish I did the same. Next month is a different story and I WILL NOT be giving them my money anymore. GET YOU ACT TOGETHER!!!
