I ordered a car seat online and because they didn’t have the option to deliver to my house. I went to pick it up from the Watchung NJ location. A young man helped me out and got the car seat for me once I showed him my email. When I went to purchase a few other items I showed the cashier my email for the car seat as well. In the parking lot some woman “one of the managers” tells me my order was cancelled and I had to repurchase the car seat. I showed her the charge on my card and the email and she insisted the order was cancelled. I asked for a receipt to confirm I’d be refunded the initial purchase. She wrote on a paper that the original order number had been cancelled as if that’s “proof”. She was rude and didn’t seem too sure about anything she said. I’m pretty sure whoever was in charge with putting together the online order was too lazy to bring it to the front for pick up so decided to say it was no longer in stock and then cancelled my order on me as I got there. Do not shop in this location. Rude and unorganized staff. If an item will not let you ship to your home just don’t purchase. Do not let them convince you it’s a good idea to pick up in store ESPECIALLY IF THEY SEND YOU TO WATCHUNG NJ.

Target now has a policy of not opening their self-service registers "until later in the day" on weekdays. I was there at 10:41on a Wednesday (03/13/24) and had to use one of only four staffed registers (out of 12 total). Took too much time and there is no reasonable reason I can see. Also, there were four Target team members near the self-serve area - probably there to help explain why this mess was created. But... not opening up any other registers, of course.

used to be friendly experience. the cashiers are no longer that. they act just like Walmart. unfriendly. feels like a bother when checking outcashiers need a class in customer service

Guy around self check out intimidating customers. Very very bad customer service around self check out, no manners and very suspicious giving suspicious looks to customers - should be better trained to deal with the public .

Will be in contact with the manager Ana,Her employee page who was a cashier today at 8:20 pm , page was super rude condescending, to my wife and daughter order her to remove baskets from under her section we are not employees of target we aren't moving anything , after raising her voice twice to my wife I had ro step in , I will be incontact with HR and manager in the morning Paige should not be working anywhere near customers with her attitude

It is a well run store. Nicely merchandised. Good signage. One drawback are the checkout lines. It is perplexing frustrating.

Giving this Target for two reasons1) I'm in at least once a week and no matter what day the Funko NECA section is ALWAYS a disaster area.2) this is the big one. Being one of the biggest and busiest Targets in the area. Often there's always a long line at checkout. Was just in and left without buying anything. Long long checkout all they had open was 3 regular registers and 4 self checkouts. First problem only 4 self checkouts while everyother local Target has at least 8 self checkouts. They also have more then 3 regular registers open. This target needs to either add more self checkouts or open more registers. Cause it just makes customers mad. On a busy Sunday all that's opened is the 4 self-checkouts and 2 regular registers smh.

Every time I have gone, the staff is always pleasant, the store is clean and it is easy to find the things you need. My ONLY complaint is when it is busy, they do not open more registers so you have 20 people waiting at self checkout with 10 people at each of the 4 open registers when there are so many empty ones. When self check out is quicker for people with full carts than waiting for an actual cashier, there is a problem.

This is a wonderful Target store. The layout is well planned, it’s always clean and the the staff is always friendly and helpful. There is free WiFi offered and a Starbucks cafe is near the entrance, which is great if someone wants to relax before/after shopping or wait for a friend/family member shopper.

they closed down their self-checkout and only have TWO cashiers opened with over 50 people waiting in line. RIDICULOUS!!

A place run by entitled teenagers.I always have the worst experience at this location. Managers are maybe 19-20 years old and have zero respect towards adults. No thank you, no have a good day, no manners.I personally was addressed by a female manager, not much older than my own son, as if she was my “superior”. This young lady needs serious help with her customer service skills. Even the customer service team was staring at her for how she was speaking to me. If your team looks at you like that, you are seriously doing something wrong.Parking is atrocious. Last night the female restroom had no toilet paper and was disgusting.Lastly, come on target ! You can do better ! I was in shock to see some kids bringing curbside pick up at 9 degrees with really bad icy rain. Curbside is usually stopped when there’s inclement weather and customers have to go inside. I mean no wonder why your team is miserable and takes it on the customers.

I honestly love target. It has great products. When the store offered drive up, it was such of convenient as a mom of a toddler. It honestly made my life so much easier. However, if there’s anything wrong with the drive up order, the customer needs to go inside the store to fix the issue. For instance, if the associate gives you the wrong amount of items or wrong product that you selected and paid for, to fix this issue you must go inside the store and I feel like it defeats the purpose of the drive up.

William went above and beyond in refunding my item which was mistakenly scanned twice and the store just closed and I just realized when I was at the parking lot checking on my receipt since I was rushing since the store was about to close. He accommodated me even though the store already just closed. Jennifer and Gail were also very helpful and nice. Great job!!!

No receipt/no store credit policy now on formula. Now I’m sitting on easily $200 of baby formula, in a shortage, that my son can’t drink due to an allergy. It will expire unless I just take the loss and donate it. No offer from customer service to exchange, just a big fat no “because there’s too much theft going on” - great, so make the paying customers take that burden? Nice, Target.

My husband and I went to the Target at Watching Square Mall last night to purchase some pillows for our couch. We noticed the section was 20% off and when we went to buy 3 pillows the discount didn’t ring up. We called over for help and had the absolute pleasure of working with Tracy! She was patient, kind, and diligent with helping us get the discounts even when the system wouldn’t ring it up. She is a top notch employee and I hope Target recognizes her in a special way.

We received through our baby registry an item that was supposed to be new, but it was opened and poorly repacked.We initiated an online replacement with the option to drop off at the store or send it via a shipping service. We decided to drop it off and pick up a baby registry welcome box.The staff in the store told us just to leave an item and walk away. We asked how the system would know we dropped off the box because a replacement won't be sent until the item arrived. No one seemed to know. So we ended up leaving the store with the item (which is massive, btw) to ship it via UPS or FedEx—waste of time.To add to the terrible customer service and disappointment, after saying they have registry welcome boxes, but five minutes later said they don't have them. Terrible experience.

I love this Target store. The reason that I gave 4 stars due to unavailability of the some frozen foods and deli products; specific clothes section and Starbucks. I think the food section is the weakest one when compared with other sections such kitchen, furniture, etc, Another thing bothers me all the time is the clothes section selling the Wild Fable brand. This area is very crowded and not organized very well and it is really hard to find something you’re looking for. The Starbucks inside Target store doesn’t have a variety food products that other Starbucks stores offer.

I don’t know what happened but i rather go to South Plainfield or Bridgewater location. Checkout service is just a pain. Respect to all the employees but checking out with 4 self checkouts and 2 cashiers is just a pain. People are trying to buy the store at the self checkouts like it is nuts😵💫😵💫.

The person, Tony, who covered our return went above and beyond, was very knowledgable, skilled and friendly. This is the second time he, as supervisor, helped my family with a return (since the initial person did not want to). I hope he gets recognized for exceptional work.

This store used to be good. If you go inside they most likely have what you’re looking for but the drive up pick up is ridiculous. I got here at 5:39pm and it’s currently 6:09pm and still nothing. Every pick up spot is filled and no one has come or left for over 20 mins. Management needs to do a better job of hiring more staff at high volume times.

I enjoy Target, but the produce is horrible and rotten a lot of times. Always watch the date and smell any meat before buying. They do not keep it clean in this area, and the meat isn't always fresh either. Why is some of the dog food over priced. You can do better at Walmart. Everything else is ok.

The store itself and many employee are very pleasant. However, the manager Alex needs to learn how to speak to people. I went into make a payment and experienced issues. When he was called over to assist he was dismissive and rude. He acted like it couldn’t possible be any issue on there side and had to be my fault. Think people forget that without loyal customers they wouldn’t be employed.

I always have a good experience with drive up, but will try to avoid going in this store in the future. In the past, I've been accused after using self checkout and misreading my receipt. Yesterday I was followed by their undercover. I thought it was just an ashy man reading skincare ingredients because he wanted to turn his skin around. I was reading ingredients and googling products, and scanning items with the target app to check for coupons. Maybe that's suspicious? Idk. I realized he was following me when I got to the checkout line and the MF cut me. He only had 1 item (after all that shopping we were doing lol) so I wasn't gonna say anything but then I realize it's the same guy who was just with me looking at lotion lol. Then he awkwardly pretended to be confused and left the line. That's when it clicked that he was really following me

Michelle is extremely pushy, nasty, rude, condescending... I could go on and on about the audacity this woman has. She's definitely old enough to know manners but definitely does not have any. We will no longer be shopping at this Target. Time and time again she is rude over and over again.
