I haven't been there in many years. The product selection seems to have improved, but I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of organic or gluten-free options.UPDATE: I must have missed the organic section last time. Came across more organic options for produce and meats.

The only issue I have is cutting different meats on the same meat slicer without cleaning the slicer in between orders. Some don't eat pork,some don't eat beef & some don't eat turkey. But other than that,I will give a 4/5

Ordered a cake a couple days ago for my daughter’s birthday. I go to pick it up and the bakery has no idea what I’m talking about and can’t find my cake. They reach out to the manager (Tamera I believe) and she comes around to let me know that I did put the order in and they gave me an option for a sheet cake or two tiered like I had ordered. I went with the sheet cake since the really nice women told me I could add a picture. I thought I’d be able to also get a discount since I waited about 45 minutes to get my cake. I go to check out and Tamera is in the other line and declines the discount due to me choosing the bigger cake. That’s fair. My only issue is there wasn’t an apology whatsoever from her. I did my due diligence with ordering the cake in advance. The least she could have done was apologize for the inconvenience.

They sell a variety of items for a membership fee. Staff is usually attentive and knowledgeable. Prices vary by product but can be a good buy in you are shopping for a big family. They also have Dunkin Donuts, Optical store and Liquor store. No membership required for purchasing from liquor store. They also offer tire service.

Friendly employees, well-stocked, fair prices, and the only problem really is is they really need new shopping carts of all the shopping cards the rubber from the wheels has worn down. Way too many or just worn down to the plastic hub of the shopping wheel tires.Update they finally got new carts. Now they need to fix their extremely spotty WiFi. Spots in the store where it just goes out and phone left on spin. Not great considering a lot of customers use the BJs app.

This store location is the best! There is always a great selection of items and we’ve found the staff to be extremely helpful. They go out of their way to try and help the customers - this is true for us as well as something we’ve witnessed while shopping there multiple times! Story is also very clean and well stocked.

McDonald at the front door is always very sweet. Also an associate Leslie is always extremely helpful.Ive never had any issues at this store. Some younger staff may be a little attitude-y but whatever, we all have our days.

An Associate named Leslie who was working at the self checkout register helped me out immensely. She was patient, kind, knowledgeable and professional. The facility is clean and the staff is lovely.

If you are looking for a great variety of foods this is a great place, however staff seems to hate their jobs and sometime even have attitude. Be careful they may charge you twice for items.

This is more for the tire center (though walking around the wholesale club was pleasant as well). I went to get my tires rotated on 4/30/22 at 2pm and the man behind the counter (I forgot to get his name to give him a shout out) and whoever was working in the garage that I didn't see made getting my car serviced the least painful service experience I've had the in 13 years of being a licensed driver. I cannot recommend people go there enough. I was told it would only take 30-45 minutes and was told they would call me when I asked if it was ok that I got into the wholesale club. I ended up finishing shopping at the club mere minutes before my car was pulled out of the garage and I was given my keys, and envelope with my paperwork and a sticker for when I will need my tires rotated again. 10/10 will be coming back for all my tire services and will be telling everyone I know to go here.

The Watchung store on 07/05/23 had a package of chicken breasts in the store for $2.93, (Offer label) believing in them I took 2 packages and they charged me $12.98 never believe in the prices of their modules. I have been a member for around10 years, but I'm already mad at the cheating.

Nice and big. It has ample space for shoppers and it’s well-lit. I don’t like that there are no carts on the inside. I saw multiple people including myself have to go back outside in the pouring rain to get a wet cart.

its is unfortunate to see employees setting a bad example of not wearing masks. why isn't manager enforcing this? the employee is clearly withing eyesight of other higher authority. picture attached and no it was not a couple of minutes that the employee had the mask on his neck

The store was quiet when I visited and had most of the usual selections, and staff was friendly and courteous. However, if you're looking to go for discounted beer and wine, don't be fooled. The liquor store is a private retailer so the prices are about on par with any other beer/wine/liquor store. It's not a "BJ's" liquor store.

Pretty well stocked for items needed. Smaller store than someI’ve been to, but haven’t had to worry about huge lines at this location yet. Self checkout is pretty efficient and happy this location still has scanners so you don’t have to remove items from the cart.

The two stars is for the man who greets at the door and says: “Have a blessed day” 🙏🏾. Truly wonderfulNext, I Literally went there for one item. Went through checkout and had a coupon as that one item was about $30 bucks. Scanned the coupon and saw the price changed but once finalized and through, it turns out the coupon did not go through properly ? At that point, I had ripped it in half and tossed it. Notified the girl at the self checkout and she sent me to Customer service. Before I went up to C.S., I got the majority of the coupon out the garbage as more than half the barcode was visible and clear that I had some form of coupon for this item. Waited in the customer service line just for the lady to off the bat say that she couldn’t do anything with that and that was that and proceeded to call the next person. I understand that the coupon was ripped a bit in the barcode and physically deemed un-useable but to not even look in the system etc. seeing that I had form of proof for the slightest of coupon is crazy to me . Definitely felt like more could have been done for help as it was over all a simple situation.

Today was my first time back inside BJ's Watchung since the pandemic began last year. Nothing has changed. This store still has the worst customer service of any store I shop at. I had some problems checking out so I called over to the front-of-the-store person who is there to help customers. She just ignored me and walked away. Another employee who seemed to be on a break called over to her and asked her to help me, but she said she was busy. At this point she was having a conversation with another employee so I guess she thought it was okay to ignore a paying customer. She never came back to help. I eventually figured out what the issue was and resolved it myself. Oh, and to top it off, she was wearing a face mask, but not covering her nose. The person I am referring to is the tall woman who has been there for years and whose job appears to be customer service at the registers. Maybe someone needs to explain to her what customer service means and how to wear a face mask.

Merchandise changes location within store often, and there are always items missing (Hershey bars, Lorna Doon cookies, etc.), but good deals on many items. Bakery and deli are great, and most of the employees are friendly. Milk prices are the best.

I do have an understanding about how things work in corporations, stores ect. But had a terrible experience here, I drove 30 miles to this store because in their system said they had 68 quantity from an item I was looking for. They confirm they had it but they were negligent to not scan it and put it on the floor on top of that they confirm they had it on the top steel but wouldn't bring it down for me it would have to be done on another day so I would have to not only drive back but inconvenience my self again with the matter. Never recommending this store to anybody else.

Deserves more credit than they are given, whether that amounts due to the secluded area it is located in, the excellent staff, or prompt service: fill in the blank with whatever you decide. Lines are long on occasions, more likely on weekends: but they aren’t “slow”, long lines. Since the staff works diligently and effectively, expect to be out in less than 10 minutes on a good day-which is almost everyday. A reliable place for supplies, especially in the time of COVID-19.

I’ve had a BJs membership since the late ‘80s. I normally rave about BJs. Today was the worst experience I’ve ever had! Got on a line w/cashier and she said her line was closed. There was only 1 other line open at 4pm on a Monday. That cashier was closing too!! An associate for the store apologized for not have ANY cashiers (she questioned out loud about the thinking of the scheduler) and everyone must go to self checkout (which I hate when there’s a cart full of stuff). 5 different times an associate had to come to my self checkout didn’t recognize items or coupons. Please get it together BJs!

I was looking for a product and it wasn't on the shelf. Just a empty box that the product use to be in. I thought it was over and I would never ever get this item. I went to their costumer service and a young woman named ANGELA went above and beyond and found this item and another employee named Nelly pitched in to help. If you ever need help in this store people ask for them. They were super great.

We had a confirmation email for 3 sandwhich platters from the deli, but when we got there they did not have our order ready at all. We showed them the confirmation email and they acted like they couldn't do anything for us because they didnt have the order. After going back and forth, they finally decided to work on our order. Only 4.5 hours after the order was supposed to be completed, and 3 hours after our daughters first birthday party started, did they complete the order which looked horrible. Management was not helpful or considerate of their mistake. I've even requested for management yup contact me numerous times since then, and they haven't at all for 3 weeks now.

I have never been this upset with online purchase before in thos place. I order a few items to be pick up at 7 pm. Mind you i spend 8 hours at work. I went to bj in watching 2x and im still missing my some of my order. That person literally dolid not check the frodge amd the lost to make sire i have my order. Befoee you say anything, these people come oitside to give me my order. How was i suppose to know they dont know what they doing.Ill just go into the store and do it myself. Save myself headaches and a trip

Ordered a cake ahead of time on a Wednesday to be ready for pickup on Saturday for my sister’s 26th birthday. Cake was not even completed and was not the one we had asked for. Completely different filling, color, and size. I think they probably forgot and just picked out a cake from the front display. They said they didn’t have what we asked for and changed the details to what hey had. Why did they not tell us this when we first ordered the cake and why did not call us when they could not fulfill the order for this occasion. We could have gone elsewhere. Never again will I come here!!!!! Unprofessional and unproductive.

Never had a problem with this location. Customer service desk is speedy and I love that they have self-check outs with someone supervising. Make sure you have your coupons clipped before getting in line though!

BJs in Watchung: This store does not deserve one star. Employees are rude, they do not greet you, nor are they helpful. I needed assistance and felt I was the issue for disrupting two employees personal conversation. When voicing my complaints to the manager, he acted uninterested, again, me being a customer, I was disturbing the manager... WOW. Just keeps getting better. And guess what...the store wasn't busy. Then I had to walk acoss the parking lot because the helper was burried in his phone and was not moving carts or paying attention to the customers in the parking lot who needed assistance. WOW. Sad.
