Every time I come here they are missing whatever it is I need. In general the store is clean and organized, but for some reason they seem to always have empty sections and no answer for when they can expect things to be back in stock. I will say they have great baked goods and I highly recommend the fresh sourdough bread.

Dena Bacchetta in bakery gave us an outstanding service and helped us have the perfect wedding cake for my son's wedding. It was not just beautiful but extremely tasty! All the other pastries we ordered were just as good and beautiful. Thank you

The food at the hot bar is usually pretty good. NOW, here are the reason “why” I am submitting a “1” for this review, which is solely directed towards their prepared foods…1). The Hot Bar: too expensive. That’s first. Second, they hardly EVER change what they put out there ! And the “bar” has only a handful of slots for prepared dishes. I know approximately FIVE of the 9 or so dishes that will be out every single time I go ! Ughh. Terrible !, who is in charge of this !?2). Now we get to the prepared foods that are COLD: the quality of their food is absolutely HORRID. The “chicken breasts” used in almost every single dish tastes like RUBBER. This happens when chicken is boiled or steamed. Absolutely disgusting!! Tastes like I am eating gristle, it is THAT BAD. That’s not all tho… The chicken they use for their buffalo boneless wings is nothing but picked chicken from their leftover rotisserie chickens. They take that, bread and fry them and cover them in sauce. That is why they are terribly dry and chewy. These rotisserie chickens mind you have been sitting out under the heat lamps ALL DAYYY, and now they’re using the leftover ones as I said above 👆🏼 to use in their cold dishes. They even took an EXTRA STEP with this and changed a perfectly great tasting Chinese recipe/s and are using the leftover picked rotisserie chicken for this too. Tried it the other day and is AWFUL. And has no taste now either ! Yuck ! Don’t believe me ??, go find out for yourself. This shop rite DESPERATELY needs to do what the shop rite in Mansfield and Wharton does. Just awful and for outrageous prices. I give this a negative 5 star rating and whoever is in charge of the recipes should be fired asap. Been in the restaurant industry for well over 20 years so I know what I am talking about. Just really really awful 🤢

Great place if your just looking for basic stuff. But even basics are hard to come by since they don't replenish the shelves fast enough. And if they have a sale on items you want you can forget about getting it. It's also a very tiny store. Id recommend Wegmans in Bridgewater. That place is awesome!

While shopping at this store last week, I came across a cold pre-made sandwich and a large package of sushi laying on shelves in other sections of the store. For example, the sushi was just throw on a shelf where the hair shampoo products are located. There is no refrigeration in this isle and the date/price tag had been torn off. Like a good shopper, I took these items up to the courtesy desk on my way to check out. To my amazement, the store worker took the sushi back to the "Asian" counter to have a new price tag affixed to it and for it to be placed back into the refrigerated case.Maybe it's me but doesn't sushi have to be kept refrigerated ?? I'd hate to be the customer who now bought the "skunked" sushi after it had been sitting on the shelf in another department for who knows how many hours....shaking my head !! Buyer beware while shopping here

Love this neighborhood grocery store! Prices are good and saves me a trip to Costco. Recently there is a price hike but it overall nationally and ShopRite is doing its best to keep prices reasonably low with providing fresh items. Service is fast. To avoid crowds I try not to go on weekends if possible.

Had to use the pickup service for the first time because of a very young puppy that could not be left alone for a minute.I didn't understand the app or it wasn't working properly. But none of it mattered the people they have are perfect for all the newbies.Don't hesitate to use this service for any reason. It was perfect and I never had to leave my dog alone in the car.Thank you.

I wanted to praise the baking department for the outstanding job they did at decorating Bob’s 90th Bday cake. I asked if they could jazz it up a bit and they made it absolutely beautiful! Thank you! My family also commented how delicious it was!

Make sure to check the expiration dates before you buy literally anything. Tried buying taco soft and hard shells and they expired in MAY of 2023. Bought September 20th of 2023.

I really would have hoped to be upgrading my review for this store as I have always been a fan of supporting local, but this time enough is enough. Today I picked up an order for my elderly mother, and I could not believe the experience that both of us had. For starters, the suggested substitutions for two items were clearly not intended to be acceptable. Ordered: a frozen turkey breast averaging 6 lbs. Suggestion: ONE pound of turkey in unspecified form. Ordered: one loaf of Sara Lee Artesano Bread. Suggestion: one loaf of Shoprite brand Italian bread (Nature's Own happens to make a similar yet tastier version of the Artesano bread which I know the store stocks, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt in case their inventory was depleted). When the order was brought out, the younger lady gave me a nasty scowl and just stood there. I unrolled the window and asked if it was my mother's order, and she said yes, and "Are YOU going to come get it or do I have to load it?" I started to get out of the car, confused because I had always been instructed to stay in the car. I feel like there was an assumption because I am a middle-aged woman that I felt entitled to service, when in reality I was in the process of performing a service. I do my own shopping, I help bag, et cetera, et cetera... The rest of the transaction was similarly unfriendly. When I got back to my mother with the order, I noticed the cupcakes were purple and pink Barbie cupcakes. They were given as a substitution for cupcakes with footballs on them that were intended for a young boy's birthday celebration. He does not like Barbie, and it would probably make him feel like his birthday was just an afterthought to the gathering. The hostile women at Shoprite told my mom that these were the "seasonal" cupcakes that she ordered and refused to give her a refund of her $19. I am pretty sure they hung up on her, an elderly woman who maintained her composure despite being treated no better by the Shoprite from Home employee than the scammers who call her incessantly. It is really sad that this disrespect did not come from thousands of miles away in a faraway land, but in the same small town she has lived in for over five decades. SO, no more having to put my nose to packs of chicken prior to purchase (yuck, right?), inspecting every item for expiration dates, some of which are mysteriously faded and suspicious, and no more purchasing of fruits and veggies that are packaged in a way that I can't tell if they are rotten until opening them at home. Heck, it actually might not take any extra time to drive out of town for groceries.Washington, you deserve better. How can we entice other supermarkets to come back?Original Review: Check expiration dates when shopping here. Also, it is a rare occasion when you can find a head of lettuce or bag of celery that is not already rotten and literally oozing brown stuff. If a sale coincides with good coupons, they do not restock after the Sunday morning hoarders come in and clean off the shelves. I have to be resourceful in reaching items on the top shelf quite frequently, and it's not always safe. I find myself in this store much more than I would like to be due to its close proximity and lack of competition in the immediate area. However, I take a drive to another friendlier and fresher Shoprite for my big food shopping trips.

All the produce goes bad within one day of buying it cause they're staff Don't rotate the produce when they're restocking. talked to the assistant store manager and she said there's nothing that they can do which is a bad excuse. I used to work in a grocery store and I know. There's plenty more that they can do if you want to buy produce. Go to the one in Mansfield or go to a local farmer's mart just bought ages guess what they were bad this management does not care go to mansfield

It is ok, It was better when I was working here five years ago. I left because I was assaulted by another employee and can’t believe she still works there. The store has definitely changed since, I worked here.

The Italian subs that are premade are really good, but the deli is awful. The deli workers wouldn't talk to me or my husband other than to tell us to use the kiosk and that was the only way they'd take our order even though we were the only ones there. We also asked them to remove some of the fat in the prosciutto, and they said they wouldn't do that. We put our order in the kiosk and stood there for 10 minutes- they kept putting meats out rather than working on our order and they said they couldn't give us a time frame, so we left. Also, if you don't put your item in a bag (forgot it again, so scan in cart) at self-checkout, you have to hit a button saying "skip bagging" after every item. They didn't have this feature at the Shoprite on RT57. It is annoying and time-consuming. I used to like this store, but between automation and lazy workers, I may need to look elsewhere.

Big aisles, plenty of stocked items, most days it's pretty easy to shop and check out quick, it does get busy at times but nothing deterring. The store is clean, the items look clean and fresh. Always lots of employees hustling and moving. The parking lot is nice and big, I like to park on the side. This ShopRite lets you order online and pickup, I've used the service numerous times to save time; they'll also deliver online orders if preferred. I have no complaints, it's a good store.Edit: 8/9/23 - The quality of service and produce has gone really downhill in the last year. Every employee seems upset when you see the. No one wants to talk to you they just point you to tablets. Then after all that you're supposed to checkout your own stuff because there are barely any cashiers if any. The service here has gone down the drain and although this place is very close to home, we started shopping else where unless we're in a rush. Very disappointing cause it's a very large store just being run with customer service and product care falling drastically behind. I also refuse to self-checkout anymore, the service of a human cashier is part of my consumer experience and if you want my money provide me the correct service not a dumb tablet.

My whole family likes our deli meats and cheese sliced very thin. Last week I was in the store to buy American cheese sliced very thin. The deli clerk said she can’t slice it very thin. Then Jen told me they are waiting on a part foe the slicer they can’t cut it thin. Today I stopped and asked if the part came in and the clerk said they weren’t waiting for any part. I also got my meats and cheese slice very thin from Debby in Deli. I just want to say Jen I can understand standing up for your employees but not at the cost of lying. Just admit many of your deli clerks are just too lazy to take the time to slice thinly. I knew you were lying as you were talking to me. Next time this happens I will go straight to management and asks them to slice my meats and cheeses for me

Specific to Shop from home. The inconsistencies order to order never cease to amaze me. The out of stocks with no substitutes available is a reflection of training opportunities and staff performance challenges. For example, out of a certain chicken stock and I'm told there isn't a sub available. Really? There are about 10 brands on the shelf right now. My order said delivered at 11 am this morning, yet it has still not arrived. No call, no customer service. I have to reach out to see what is going on and all I'm told is, "may be running late" "dunno when you will get your order". OK.. Thanks for that, it is very helpful. I will say this is not a one-off incident. I consistently leave feeback hoping someone is listening, yet nothing changes. I have been using this service since the early 2000s (different store) and year to year it actually gets worse. Same scenario happened last Friday and like I mentioned, week to week there is always something. Very frustrating as there is literally nowhere else to shop that is close. One last thing-they "upgraded" their system a few months ago, and now my account has my previous name. The upgrade went back in time, how this is possible is beyond my comprehension. And yet I cannot update this information online. Your website is clunky, the ad clicks rarely bring up what it should and it is archaic. Search functionality has to be an exact match or no results are found. Whoever sold that program to you is a snake oil salesperson. Invest in your people and digital technology.

In this error while everybody is going contactless purchasing ShopRite thought it would be a good idea to put more touch screens at the deli and they won't even take your deli order verbally! I brought it up to the manager on my way out of the store and their suggestion to me was to call them on the phone. The guy standing next to me was more upset than me they finished his order put it on the counter and didn't bother to tell him. Two wonderful delis right up the road.

We purchased flowers for a birthday event recently and hired the garden department to make our arrangements.Fran and Angela (?) did a fabulous job. The arrangements were done in antique Milk Glass vessels. We explained what we wanted and they exceeded our expectations!Fran, you made our event so much more special with the beautiful floral design.Thank you so much!Claudia and Mirta

Unlike others, I prefer shopping in person. This Store is always clean and I can always find someone to help answer my question. They offer a decent variety of gluten free products and I'm old school and like my meat products cut by a butcher and not pre packaged. I love how you order your deli on a kiosk...there are no longer long lines to wait for your cold cuts! I do wish the self checkouts had bigger conveyor belts but it's all good and I wish the Poland Spring water 5 gallon office jug was readily filled. I know it's a popular item and you have to time it right to purchase one, I will figure out the routine one day. I appreciate this supermarket since the A&P closed in Belvidere. The woman with the long curly hair and manicured fancy nails at self checkout is always courteous and helpful. She always talks to me when I arrive at selfcheckout & it's heart warming!

A large ShopRite. Shelves are usually stocked. Place is clean inside and outside. Prices are reasonable. Some are higher than other places, Some of prices are the same and some are cheaper. Staff was nice. It's a shame though that food is so expensive!!!

The "order online" pickup is beyond abhorrent! EVERY week they screw up the order. I order two days ahead of time to allow for plenty of time. Half the time they'll substitute with something way more expensive, and not the shoprite/cheaper substitution. Also, they're supposed to let you know ahead of time of anything not available or a substitution they made. Rarely will I get an email stating there was "no substitution available". It's not until you get home and realize that you're missing something! This happens like EVERY WEEK! How is this possible??? Why is it SO hard to let people know something isn't available? What makes it even worse, is when you ask the person bringing your groceries out if everything was there, they'll straight up look you in the face and lie, and say "yes". Also, there have been times when actually going inside, THEY HAVE THE ITEM AVAILABLE!!! Do yourselves a favor, and don't use this Shoprite if you shop from home. The incompetence is astounding. The manager should be ashamed!Basically don't use shop from home at Washington Shoprite!

Great meat selection however the dry foods are not very consistent with brands. Usually crowded after 3 PM and an absolute nightmare on Sunday. All that said, I drive an hour to do my shopping here because the employees are very pleasant, the prices are better than my local shoprite, and they offer much more. It's also super convenient that they have holiday hours when everything else is closed.
