Went to Jake's for dinner this evening. Was definitely not disappointed. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess. The atmosphere was nice. The restaurant was very clean. The wait and bus staff were also very friendly. Service was also quick without any sacrifice to the quality of the food. I, of course, per my baseline preference, got a burger. "The Mega Burger". It was very good, cooked to medium, and flavors were on point. We also got a very flavorful chicken dish. Very tender. Entrees come with a salad as well as two sides. Excellent! I will definitely go there again in the future.

We have gone to Jake's a few times and every time it was great. The first time was with a family of 6. They were busy but seated us right away and made sure we had a server. The food was great, espct the seafood combination. It is enough to share. The second time was Saturday night at the bar. They had live music and prime rib. The band was perfect... Not too loud, but plenty of energy and they played a variety of music. Both bartenders were attentive and knowledgeable. Thanks Stacy and Scott! The food was great. We will be back.

Unfortunately, I picked this restaurant, so I owe my family an apology. The average customer was about 75 years old, so that's indicative of the atmosphere. The food was so bad I didn't take my leftovers. My waiter was attentive, but it felt like we were treated poorly and passed over during the wait to get seated. My son's sprite had no flavor, my wife's Pina colada had to be sent back.. in general, skip Jake's if you are from an area where you are used to good tasting food.

We used to go to Jake’s every summer. We finally got here this weekend. I have to say the Shrimp Alfredo was amazing! My husband enjoyed his dinner as well. The service was excellent! Love the new renovations. It was nice to see the new owners kept the same menu favorites. We will be back for sure!

Been going to Jake's for years and always really liked this place it was our go to. First time back since new owners and we were all very disappointed. Prices are insane for what you get wouldn't mind if the food was actually good. I got the broiled seafood combo nothing fresh about it. Everything was rubbery and taste like it just came out of the microwave. Sad how much this place went downhill won't be going back again.

Saturday dinner one hour wait. Server & Hostess 5 stars. Nice people here. Food was good. Thought portions were a bit small but that's what appears to be normal now. Shifting food & labor cost increases on customers, so I really can't blame them. I'll go again but drink more beer! $185 plus $28 tip for 7 adults.

I ordered dinner on line it took close to an hour to get my order, I was told the printer wasn’t working in the kitchen. The girl at the register never checked until I told her I was gonna cancel my order. And at that point they told me it was only gonna 3 more minutes My order was missing my vegetables, 1 salad & the cocktail sauce for my crab cakes. Very disappointed.

We went there tonight and had great service and a very good meal. Just prior I read a bad review 3 days before about a seafood combo that was pricey and not good. I decided to go anyway. I’m glad I did and you can’t believe every review you read. Costs are up for everyone and as long as the service and food is good I’m fine with that. The seafood combo was very good and cooked perfectly and taste great. It’s not a huge portion but was enough. I’ll definitely go back. Rick gave us excellent service. Thanks again.Parking: About 20 places to park and if need be park on the closest street near by and walk a very short distance if need be.

Stopped by on a Sunday for dinner, we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and friendly staff. We ordered the shrimp & scallops tortellini, lobster Mac & cheese, and shrimp & scallops linguini (special menu)… and everything was amazing!! Portions were a good size, everything was delicious! There were no leftovers to take home. A little pricey but the food was delicious!

I wasn't able to ever eat at this place before the new owner bought it a few months ago so I'm not able to do any comparisons. From what I can say though is that this place is fantastic. The food is great. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and the music is always perfect. I always get the steamed clams when I go here and I'm never disappointed. The French Onion soup is amazing as well. This place is very special to me because it is the first place I brought my now girlfriend to on our first date. That night was just magical for me and also for her from what she has told me. The first time we ate there she had the fried flounder for an entrée and I had the clams and linguine in white wine sauce. The food is remarkable. We shared an appetizer that consisted of shrimp in a spicy sauce. She's not big on spicy foods but she loved them. She had never tried clams before that night and I got her to try mine. I don't think it was her favorite but she said they were good. Since that magical night (4/10/2022) there we have been together ever since. So id just like to say thank you to Jakes for helping to make a wonderful first date and create a long-lasting loving relationship.

Very nice atmosphere. Good food and drinks at reasonable prices. They have a very complete menu including the seafood offerings you would expect and a very nice children's menu as well. Bring the family, you won't be disappointed.

We haven't been to Jake's in 2 years. We went tonight and the place was redecorated! They added a brick oven for pizza but I got the prime rib. My sister got the fried shrimp and my cousin got the stuffed shrimp. It was delicious!!! You could cut the prime rib with a butter knife! Plenty of food and great service! Highly recommend. Sorry I didn't get pics!

New owners. Food not quite as good as with the old owners and prices are up. The new look is nice and a lot brighter. Glad they got rid of the carpet. Have to give it another try I guess……..Well we gave it another and last try. Wondered why there were empty parking places on a Saturday night at 7:00.Thought we were just lucky….. not.The food was way sub par and the portions were child size. Nothing like old Jake’s. Tiny salad, stale rolls. Don’t do baked potatoes any more. French fries, potato wedges or mashed. I got a tiny two bite portion of mashed potatoes and 3 small slices of pickled beets. (Used to get a nice bowl full of them at Old Jakes)and my wife’s potato wedges were cold and greasy. Told the waiter but no offer to remove them from the tab. We’ve been eating here for 20 years……But we won’t be back. They won’t be in business long. Trust me.So sad to see a place we loved go down hill so fast.FOLLOW UPWell as a follow up we gave Jake’s another chance but I’m sorry to say again we were very disappointed.Things haven’t changed. Small portions, higher prices and disappointing food.Such a shame. This used to be one of our favorites. Not so much any more.Haven’t tried their pizza but I don’t think we will go back for that. Can’t imagine any previous regulars returning either.

Ordered takeout. Brought it home. Missing items. Conventional wisdom dictates that I do without, because after all, the missing items were a salad and a roll, or, call the restaurant, inform them of the error, return to the restaurant and pick up the missing items. I accept that...the first time, maybe even the second. When it becomes a habit... that's when I draw the line. At the risk of sounding like a Karen, I can't do it again. I returned the entire meal, including my husband's pizza and daughter's salad. The hostess then had the gall to dispute it because it was " just a salad". If you can't get it right the first time (on multiple occasions) then I'm just not gonna was my time and money. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...well, I won't even dine in again.

Have been going to Jakes for at least 15 years and always loved their food and reasonable prices. Have not been there since new owners took over. Heard they now had a brick oven pizza and decided to try it. Ordered a house salad first. Was served a big bowl of cut up iceberg lettuce with about 5 thick slices of cucumber, about 5 cherry tomatoes sliced in half and some shaved carrot on top and four tiny containers of salad dressing all for $10.95. Was worth $3.95 tops. Ordered a large Marguerita pizza. Took 20 minutes to get it. Came out lukewarm with one thin slice of cheese on almost each slice, one wilted basil leaf and so heavy on sauce that when you picked up a slice it drooped down and lost most of the topping. The crust was thin and perforated and looked to be one of those ready made crusts. Size wise the pizza was a small medium size at best. When I asked the server about it she assured me it was a large. The true insult was the price...$19.99. Was probably one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. When I went back to the pizza kitchen area to ask the woman there about the lousy pizza she said she did not speak English. I have had dive bar pizzas that were delicious compared to this one! It was Father's Day and the place was mostly empty...I now know why! Won't be going back!!!

9/2/23 UPDATE: Clearly owners or management has changed and it’s not a good change. You need to train your staff. Without pointing fingers, dinners should come out before your appetizer, salad or bread. Your clams casino used to be the best ever. WTH did you change the recipe for? These are awful - if you’re not going to serve them well, then take them off the menu. Prime Rib was way to fatty, baked potato was essentially steamed and the salad - well - we weren’t eating it. The Pizzas looked fantastic, very disappointed in tonight’s service and meal.

We have been going to Jakes for over 10 years now and we would refer all our friends there as well. When it sold a year or two ago we were concerned that they would continue with their wonderful food or would it change. At first we saw great improvements in the dining area as they took down one of the half walls and brighten up the dining room with new paint and eliminating the half wall. The food though remained constant and good. Then after this we seen new faces, new servers, new greeters and new bar people but we still saw a few from the past but the food started to slip in quality. We went there a few more time recently the past time in December and there were no more familar faces, the televisions sets in the dining room were blaring, and we had to ask that they be turned down and the food quality again slipped. I understand that your new approach is a sports bar and you think this is the way to bring you more business. I wish you luck as I see the menu changing even more away from dinners to pizzas and sandwiches, etc. Again I wish you luck but we won't be coming there any more and wont be referring our friends there as well. I am sure many of your former customers feel the same way.
