Great hardware store that's conveniently close to home. They have pretty good operating hours, a decent selection of products needed for most home repairs, and good sales. While their selection is good, it isn't a huge store like Lowes or Home Depot; nonetheless they have a lot of stuff and shopping a smaller, local business is always preferable to a major chain store. Their staff, for the most part, is pretty knowledgeable about most places of home repair, and can usually guide you to the correct products when in doubt as to what to select.The only thing that bothers me is that they jump on you the moment you walk in the store! I understand the importance of a friendly greeting when a short enters your business; I've worked on retail expensively. This is a whole different level!! Within 15 minutes of shopping you'll probably be asked by at least 3 to 4 employers if you need help finding something. Today they asked me 5 times in 15 minutes. It's distracting and annoying. Most people will ask for help in when they need it. Maybe ask one time, that's plenty. If you stop for a moment to consider products they're right on you, asking if everything is "okay". Of course it's okay, I'm just choosing a product or checking the list on my phone of what I need to buy. Also, some of the older men in there speak to women as though they're actual idiots! I heard them being quite condescending to a senior lady over her selections and she was clearly upset.ACE of you're reading this: you've got a great store, let people walk around and shop without hawking them so much!!!! They'll come to you if they need help.

Great store! I make my own laundry detergent and they always carry the items I need to make it. I recently was deciding on a back door paint color and they mixed me a small amount. Good thing! It was really not the right color. They helped with helping me to keep the door jams insulated and that makes a big difference on the heating bills. I will be by soon to get screens made. What versatile services you provide. Glad you are here for me and my home repair needs. Much thanks!

Forget the big box hardware stores. The price here is good and the service is outstanding. They are helpful, answer questions, and actually know what they are talking about.More than once I have gone in to pick stuff up mid project, and they have helped me figure out how to complete the repair. Convenient and have lots of different stuff. Old to notch fashioned customer service. As a small business owner, I also like supporting small businesses.

Ordered aerosol wood cleaner from them on amazon and the one they sent wasn’t the one I ordered. When I contacted Amazon, they told me it was not returnable. The one they sent was selling for half that price from others.

I have had nothing but excellent customer service here. They are very knowledgeable and happy to stick with you, teach you some things, and make sure you’re ready for your project. I genuinely appreciate the patience and expertise. I’ve also had them be generous with delivery of a grill I didn’t think worked- they came back out to show me what I was doing wrong.

Starting to work more with this store since they actually care and will get you a solution. Tired of the big box stores not trying anymore to provide service. Never thought I would say I am over them. Nice to walk into ACE and get assistance even if it’s just to collect what I need in a hurry.

I sent my 2 teenage boys to get me a tool they picked up what they thought i needed and text me to see if it was correct i said it was not and to find someone and ask for help my older one told the younger to put them down and find the guy when Bill the so called manager came up to them he told them to leave the store My boys came home and told me so i went to see for myself and all this Bill had to say for himself was we have kids steal from the store and your kids were going to steal. Will never step foot in this store again and will make sure everyone i know does the same. I cant wait to talk to the owner

I recently ordered a can of chalk paint online. Upon opening the order, I noticed the whole can of paint had opened inside of the plastic bag. Thankfully it did not get on everything. Most companies will attach metal clips to ensure the that the paint is not opened during transit. Attempted to communicate with the customer service online- email is not active. I tried calling the store only to deal with an extremely rude employee refusing to help me and yelling at me to just call back. How hard is it to hear a customers concern, perhaps take their information and get back to them when the proper employee is present? Instead of having the customer try for the third day in a row to get in contact with someone who can help. Not happy with the product, delivery or the customer service. Fernando was down right rude and extremely unpleasant to deal with

My wife and i moved to villas in 2018, and the first store i purchased anything from was Anco hardware,i was greated by freindly staff and somebody even asked me if i needed help in finding something.i am amazed at all this store has to offer,i even rented a u-haul there.Corey the store manager is second to no one and truly runs an awesome store. I would highly recommend Anco for all your projects.I shop there all the time.Hats off to the owners and COREY

Went to pickup some belt sander belts. Had the odd size I required 2.5 by 16 in stock and service with a smile. Great go to place for household items. Gave me dog biscuits for my dogs when leaving. I will be back.

A lot more of what you need in what from the outside looks a little small store. Staff are always friendly and willing to help. They may not carry as much as the big box stores, but then again they carry a lot of what you can't find at those stores. One of largest selections of nuts & bolts you will find. Great place.

This store is conveniently located for those not wanting to drive all the way to the big box stores. They have a very wide selection and have a very friendly staff that is always available to help with any questions you might have. Their prices are slightly higher then the big box stores but it is definitely worth it for the convenience.

I read the most recent review. And somewhat disagree.Just last week I went to get a key copied . I walked in and noticed employees standing around and some helping other customers. In a pleasant but loud voice I announced that I needed to get a key made. Immediately a young man replied" I can help you sir" and took me back to the key machine. I was out of there in less than 10 minutes. Speak and you shall be heard. I noticed a personnel change this year. They don't seem to be as responsive as what I have been used to. But my overall experience with this business has been good.It's convenient to have a local hardware store that carries a large variety of goods at competitive prices. The other choice is a trip to Lowes in Rio or Home Depot in Burleigh. And the quality of service in those stores changes with the weather. Support local businesses if you want them to stay local.

Great store with exceptional employees. They must have hired all the people with the most knowledge on everything hardware and construction because after first shopping Home Depot and Lowe's with no luck I stopped at Anco Ace in the Villas, NJ. What a breath of fresh air they are. Martin was extremely helpful in helping me out with project advice and the proper materials I needed. I had to submit this evaluation because I actually saved money but had the" Experts at H D and L's known what they were talking about I wouldn't have had to try Anco Ace. The items that I purchased at Ace were on the shelves in both the other stores. The sales people just were plain bad and were more confusing than anything.The first person I talked to at Ace in the Villas, NJ (3 or 4 people approached me ) was able to answer all my questions without hesitation. I was able to complete my project without anxiety because of the confident information I got in the store. I don't know what the last name of the salesman was but his first name was Martin. This store is great! The staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful. The store is extremely well stocked. The items I purchased were not available at the Lowes in Rio Grande. This store always seems to have everything I need.

Very friendly staff, efficient service. I went here on a busy weekend during the summer I was immediately asked if I needed help. That gentleman called another on a walkie talkie. By the time I reached the back of the store there was a staff member waiting with the product I needed in hand.

Stay away from here. I have gone into this location twice. Once last year to have keys made and once just today (6/11/2017) to also have a key made. First time the guy asked me what I needed an then said to wait while he took care of a uhaul customer. Took the customer outside to look at what they had and came back 3 or 4 times over a 15 minute period and never helped me. Didnt even send anyone over to help. Then just today I went in and immediately upon entering the woman to the left of the entrance behind a counter asked if I need help with anything. I said yes I needed a key copied. She assured me someone would be right down. I heard her tell someone I needed a key made and an acknowledgement followed her request. 10 minutes went by and nobody ever came back. Upon leaving the store one worker was reading a catalog at the front desk and she was sitting there leaning on the counter reading something. Neither of them were immediately assiting anyone and neither od them even noticed me walk out. I have been vacationing here at our property for over 30 years right on wildwood ave. I will never come here again. Horrible customer service.

Do not order from them. I ordered a product at Amazon which they overpriced ( didn't know till I bought it). It came totally empty and they will not refund money nor replace item. Terrible company that just rips people off. Read some of the reviews about them on Amazon! I wish I had before I ordered. Now I'm just out the money. DO NOT ORDER FROM ANCO!!!

An amazing and complete inventory of hardware items!! Specific metric stainless-steel screw and nut?? Got it! Exotic light bulb?? Got it! Specialty spray paint?? Got it! And thousand and thousands of other items. Staff is very helpful, and not in short supply. (I have been in the store numerous times, and alway the help has been more than courteous and helpful, in spite of what another reviewer unfortunately reported experiencing.) They won't have the heavy building materials and full array of power tools and major appliances of a Home Depot or Lowes, but they can definitely go head to head--and then some--when it comes to hardware.

They have EVERYTHING you will ever need as a homeowner in the Villas. If they don't have it you probably don't need it. Nice people, very helpful and knowledgable about their products.

I had a very disappointing experience. The Anco representative was sarcastic, argumentative and uninformed. I just wanted to run in and pick a small item and I got tons of bad attitude for no apparent reason. I'd rather go to Lowes, Home Depot or WalMart. I can't see me ever going back to Anco.
