It is time for a remodel. Every time I enter I take time to observe how the store looks so dirty, old and trashy. The area it’s located in is being remodeled with a new apartment complexes businesses and library. The store should also do a remodel. The staff is friendly and do their best to restock the items. But most of the time that I have gone there in the last year items are missing from the shelves. Because of this I have been taking my business to the Springfield store. I would not doubt that others do the same.

The store was very empty and the customer service was so disappointing. I’ve never walked into a store were the employee has BOTH AirPods in and just straight out ignores the customer. NO HELLO, NO THANK YOU, or even a HAVE A GOOD REST OF YOUR DAY! The employees name is Alexander!

I just shopped there today 12.1.2023Same old issue with employees thinking it's more important to check their phones then continue to run a purchase. Then they take their breaks and lean around the storr behind boxes to be on their cellphones. I don't know what your customer service guidelines are but they are probably the same as in any other retail store. The roof/ceiling still needs repairs and is constantly blocked off. I guess your company doesn't care how much mold is an issue even for customers who visit store. I am editing my 2 year ago 1 star review because reviews have conveniently been turned off. Your employees need to keep tshoppphones on their lockers very unprofessional. Shelves could be better stocked but their probably busy on their cellphones.******I have shopped here for over 15 years. Cashiers rather be talking to customers and claiming their register is closed and still they are still standing at the register. Then I had had times that the cashiers are on their phone texting or talking on their phones while ringing up purchases on the register. I have to say when I started shopping at this location in 2002 the store was well kept cashiers were courteous and they were not on their phones or walking thru the store holding and texting on their phones. The store is always a mess I rarely see staff organizing the selves. Toys and merchandise on the floor. Sometimes it's challenging to find what I am looking for. I shop at several Dollar Tree store and honestly this store always looks like a dump. They overstock product then product falls off the pegs and the boxes and end up on the floor. Then corporate wonders why they are not making a profit. Merchandise gets dumped in big large boxes in the isles. Most of that merchandise is damaged. That's called shrinkage in the retail world. A handful of employees are courteous but I had to call manager back in July because the cashier was on the register and texting. While she rang my purchases she touched her phone 4 times to text message. Address these issues because it's embarrassing there are also issues with the floors where it feels like the floor is sinking. I almost tripped and fell.

I love Dollar Tree but this one is just like the rest, filthy inside. Just garbage and old food all over the floor, in every crack and corner. Can no one operate a broom?

New management and you can see the positive difference the minute you walk in. I've been coming to this store for the past 10 years. This store for the past few years, was run down, boxes all over the place, every time you walked in. Lots of product missing from the shelves. This past year a new manager took over the store, hire more staff, and the minute you walk in, you can see the store is clean, and well stocked. Yes certain days there's still some boxes in the isles, and that's ok, because staff is restocking the shelves. Staff is friendly, and polite. Price has gone up to $1.25, but that's normal, as everything has had a price increase since the pandemic, and the supply and demand market has increased. Overall this store is organized, clean and well stocked.

This place is dreary. I think all Dollar Trees are pretty dreary, but this place.... is dreary. It has more selection and is bigger than a lot of Dollar Trees I've been to. It feels a little safer and is better lit. It's hit or miss whether or not the aisles are clear.

Why is it that EVERY Dollar Tree is New Jersey is a MESS??!! Every store I go in, there is boxes all over the place, the shelves are either a hot dirty and filthy mess or they are empty. Who is control of these stores?? Do I need to give you the locations?? The Irvington store, the Maplewood store, the Union store, the Bloomfield store and I can go on and on!! And here is a tip, why don't you wash and clean the shelves before you put the merchandise on them🙄. I will start taking pictures next week!!

There is no end to what you will find here.For eggs and breads, just check the expiration dates.However food products move fast and frozen foods as well.This time of year there are beautifully crafted items for Halloween and Thanksgiving.The staff persons are always working diligently.

I had an unsavory experience with employees destiny and San. I came to get helium balloons for a birthday. I waited for a very long time even though the employee saw me standing there. Not knowing how the system works I opened a drawer to pick out a balloon and the San yelled at me for doing it and then didn't proceed to tell me how I could purchase one. after some time she told me I had to wait in a line. 20 mins later I asked her for the balloon I wanted and asked if she could inflate 4 other balloons I brought with me. she refused. I asked to speak to the manager and she refused as well even though I offered to pay $50 for it. They were both very dry and are in dire need of personality transplants. I will never go to this store again.

I love shopping at this dollar tree location! It's always stocked and organized! And they have a lot of brand name products! This location and the route 22 union location are the two I usually go to! They are neck to neck with organization and stock up! I've been to others in the area and they don't compare to this location 😁

The broad St Elizabeth store very nice employees but need security because of the constant stealing from the thieves that come in off the street. I've witnessed a couple of times and noticed thieves walking in with shopping bags, backpacks, and big coats walking out of the store with items they stole. I know it's not the employees responsibility but if they put their self at risk they can get hurt. I like the store, it's convenient when you want to pick up a few things to take home. I would rate the employees five stars and the store a three stars. Please help the employees with this issue and it would be a great store to visit. Thank you.

This Dollar Tree was a true gem in the ruff. While most others in the Union County and surrounding areas are extremely disorganized and shelves empty, this one was the opposite. Everything was nicely stocked and in its place. They had a bigger variety than I'm used to which was quite a surprise; even had premium products like Pepperidge Farms 12 Grain Bread. The staff was a bit lack luster, no smiles or many words but did help me find something quickly.

Great place for gift bags, wrapping paper and gift cards. If you look you can find some name brand products mixed in with the look alike knockoffs. They also have a frozen and refrigerated section for small selection of dairy and frozen food like mini pizzas. They stock seasonal items for holidays which makes party decorations very affordable. Go to place for party helium balloons. Check out can be slightly slow as there is just usually only one cashier on. Parking can be challenging in the back lot as this Dollar Tree is at Union Center and the lot is accessed for many stores on the avenue. You can enter from Stuyvesant Ave or the back door. Staff is friendly and helpful..

I will pray for the well-being and a better manager at this location. The isles need to be organized and kept neat. I have never seen a Dollar Tree that looked like this, not even in the hood.

They had EVERYTHING I wanted including Sanitizer for hands, also off brand Lysol spray stacked up a million bottles of it & you know you can’t find Lysol in ANY STORE period.... u can find wipes I.e. Lysol & Clorox at other stores but NOT spray ,,,, anyone looking for GREAT bargains should go. O I even got a type-c charger replacement for business travel

If you see something that another dollar tree have and they don’t have it just ask the manager and they will let you know if or when they will get it. But they normally try to get it if they don’t have a item you want. The BEST dollar tree in the area!!!!

About a month ago, I over heard a good friend of mine, talk about dollar tree, saying how it's a shoppers paradise. I on the other hand, said there is no such place. So they opened a family dollar a few blocks over from me. I go to check it out. After walking around the store I call her. I said l if you are trying to tell your husband that you spending a certain amount of money, but you really spending a arm and a leg. You dead wrong. She says I'm telling you everything in the store is a dollar. I said I'm in the store, they just opened one a few blocks from my house, tell your story to the judge. So this weekend I had a get together at my place and my friend and her husband came by. I needed a few things and told them I'll be back. Her husband offered to come with me. I go to family dollar. As we are walking thru the door, jokingly I tell her husband how his wife try to bamboozle me. He says how so. I start to tell him the story. He stop me and said no, it's the truth. I say to him oh man your under a spell. Look at these prices. He says mannn your in the wrong store. To end my ranting, I always thought she was talking about family dollar. LOL. So of course. Everything in the dollar tree store is a $1. I am impressed.

Only dollar store where things are actually a dollar. I go often things are just as good as higher priced items in other stores. If you're looking for a bargain definitely check them out.
