Dr. Dan is a patient, kind, knowledgeable vet. He answers all my questions and never makes me feel rushed. I love that he gets down on the floor with our pups, rather than making them more anxious by putting them on the exam table. Megan and staff are super pleasant, caring and accommodating. They excel coordinating with our 'other vet' when we are not at the shore. We feel really confident in their care and lucky to have found them. You won't be disappointed.

Southern Ocean Animal Hospital is without a doubt the best vet I have ever been to. The entire staff, Megan and Dr. Dan are extremely patient and caring for my fur babies. In particular my cat Karma has a rare disease we have been treating for awhile now and they constantly go out of their way to make sure he gets the care he needs. When you pick your vet you want to make sure the people who work there actually care and every single one of them do immensely. I don’t know where my fur babies would be without their help and I can’t even begin to express my gratitude. Thank you to everyone at Southern Ocean Animal Hospital!!!!

I am so lucky to have found a veterinarian who honestly cares for my pets. Dr. Dan and his entire staff are the absolute best in my opinion! After having a horrible experience with my previous veterinarian I was in search of finding someone to help with my seriously ill dog. That is when I found Southern Ocean Animal Hospital. Unfortunately the outcome wasn't good, but just the way they agreed to see us and offered to care for my dog meant so much to me. I from that point on have continued to bring my girls to Southern Ocean Animal Hospital! It's been a few years since that horrible day but I can say that I am still so beyond happy with the care and treatment that Dr. Dan and his staff have given us.

I have a female Rottweiler who is extremely nervous in a clinical setting. The team at Southern Ocean treated her with respect and kid gloves. Even through her fear and nervousness, they examined her and took blood for testing. They also gave her breaks in between to decompress a bit. A very good experience overall. I highly recommend Southern Ocean to any pet owner looking for great care for their fur babies.

After being misdiagnosed at another facility, my sweet Sherri was getting sicker by the second. Called SOAH and the wonderful staff got her in almost immediately. After being PROPERLY diagnosed by Dr. Pascetta, we were able to get the medication we needed and are on the road to RECOVERY!! Can’t say enough wonderful things about this facility!! If you are looking for sincere and compassionate care for your fur babies, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!! Sherri and I thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts!!❤️

From the minute I called they were outstanding. We were told to come here from another vet that couldn’t find what was wrong with our dog. In ten mins just by looking at the other vet’s X-rays they found an obstruction in the intestines. The DR ran more X-rays to make sure their wasn’t anymore obstructions and immediately explained everything to us we didn’t have to wait. He did surgery and now she is doing well. Honestly they saved our dogs life. They were kind, caring and compassionate they will now be our lifetime vet. I will never be able to express how amazing they are.

Very thankful! My dog is aggressive at the vet, and started to get aggressive towards me out of the blue. Was recommended from a dog trainer to get a second opinion for vets since my old vet said it was just aggression getting worse... Southern Ocean Animal Hospital was highly recommend & got my dog to be seen right away. Turns out my dog had a broken tooth and abscess. From the front desk staff to the animal tech to the doctor everyone was extremely nice and wanted to help. You can tell they care about your animals here! Very happy new client. Thank you!

Thank you Dr Dan, Dr Mark (vet dentist), Gail, Kim and staff for taking great care of our dog Jesse who had a dental issue that was diagnosed and resolved quickly with their expertise and compassion. I would highly recommend to anyone with pets as they are a knowledgeable vet office that truly cares about their patients. It so nice to have the same Dr at each visit and not be part of a practice with a different Dr every time.

We LOVE the whole team at SOAH! Our little Isabelle is 10 years old. She had been very lethargic and unhappy looking for months. We had seen another vet at a different animal hospital. They failed to diagnose her correctly. She got significantly worse. We saw Dr Dan and he immediately knew what was wrong. His diagnosis saved her life! We had a rough couple days but with the right medications and lots of love she’s like a puppy again! She’s happy, playful, and healthy. We are so grateful to Dr Dan and his staff. They are all so caring and absolutely wonderful people.

I recently had the necessity of visiting Southern Ocean Animal Hospital with my 9-year-old Labrador, Elsa, and I can't express enough how positive our experience was.From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The reception team made us feel right at home and the waiting room is well lit, spacious and clean.They were efficient in getting us into the examination room and handling paperwork. The technician spent time with me to review the current situation and treated Elsa like royalty - she certainly enjoyed getting her treat.Dr. Dan took the time to thoroughly examine Elsa, explaining each step of the process and answering all my questions with patience and clarity. Dr. Dan and the entire team at Southern Ocean Animal Hospital are my heroes! They have always provided best-in-class care for our dogs but my most recent experience further solidifies that they are the absolute BEST, most knowledgeable, most skilled, and most compassionate Vet practice there is (on top of being really wonderful people!).Our dog (Chance) has had many health complications over the years and was recently being treated for an eye infection, which took a turn for the worse one Friday evening. We immediately called Southern Ocean and Dr. Dan and the team stayed late to squeeze him in. What happened next is nothing short of heroic. During the evaluation, Dr. Dan realized that Chance's eye needed to be removed. He and his team stayed into the late night (Friday night) to perform emergency surgery to save our baby. On top of that, knowing that Chance would need special post-surgery care, Dr. Dan and Megan took him HOME with them to ensure he was supervised and had medical care!I truly don't have the words to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for Dr. Dan, Megan, Gail, Jessica, Kimberly, and the entire team at Southern Ocean Animal Hospital! I could easily write paragraphs of endorsements for the owners and staff of Southern Ocean Animal Hospital. Dr Dan, Megan, Gail, Kim, Jessica and the rest of the staff are fantastic. They do care about my 2 Labs health and I don't feel rushed when I have questions. When your dogs are a part of your family and yes, I mean that, it's very comforting to know they are there to provide the best guidance for Gunnar and Cooper's best life. Thank you!

Staff are all outstanding.. warm and caring! My pup was to be a new patient and when I explained her chronic anal gland condition, she was given an appointment quickly. Dr Dan was attentive, I was not rushed, she was given a thorough exam. Within 2 weeks, Dr Dan operated on her and as soon as I got her home I could see she already felt so much better. She’s is healing wonderfully. Previous vet did nothing to help her, just kept telling me to give it time and it would improve but after 4 months it was time for a change.. so glad I did! A++ experience, highly recommend!! 🐶

We took our new puppy to Dr Dan, he was very kind, very informative, and took the time to talk and explain everything to us. I was very pleased with our visit. The only thing we didn't like was when they performed the shot to the puppy they took her away from us. That made us feel uncomfortable, we're new to the area, and in North Jersey and never had that experience.

Highly recommend them, they are the best and will only go to them in the future. I am seasonal visitor and regular vet is home in Cherry Hill. I called to get my 12yr old Yellow Lab (Chase) in due to weakness and diarrhea for 2-3 days. They could see him right away and followed all social distancing rules. Very short wait and the doctor called my cell (parents wait outside in your car during the pandemic) and was very nice and not rushed. Provided a detailed treatment and followed up with me for two days following our visit (which is very thoughtful).They were the 3rd animal hospital I called in the Beach Haven West area (two previous calls had no appointments available), so glad I found them, and will be my only seasonal vet going forward..

Brought my new baby girl Quando here! Everyone was so accommodating, sweet and informative! The wait wasn't long at all, especially since we were a walk in and didn't even have an appointment. Dr. Dan was very nice and gentle with her, checked her out and continued the prescription she had been on at the shelter we adopted her from.
