Plenty of easy parking, a nice mix of big and small carts and a clean and welcoming store. Lots of pasta choices! Aisles are sometimes narrow but it seems like most people get the etiquette of not blocking. Plenty of checkout, including a good number of self checks.

Excellent organized store. Provides many options. Fresh food service looks like they provide excellent meal options. Fresh wrapped sandwiches did not look as appetizing as everything else. Liked the store and will return.

UPDATED REVIEW: I had previously rated 3 stars, but bumping up a star because it seems like this review may have actually made a difference. I've noticed more registers have been open lately and checkout is not as painful. I still wish there could be help with bagging though, as I always feel like I'm holding up the line trying to bag everything myself (while trying to do so mindfully and keeping cold items together, bread and eggs separate, heavy items on bottom, etc.) and pay as fast as possible. Employees who help with bagging would bump this review up to 5 stars.Thanks Fresh Grocer for seeming to take this concern seriously!---Great grocery store but the checkout is so horrendous it makes me not want to go.There’s only ever one human cashier available. The self checkout is poorly spaced and I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have some sort of problem trying to scan my items and bag them. I always end up leaving the self checkout feeling frustrated and angry, because it’s too tight, and also never works.When you do manage to get a human for checkout, no one bags your groceries - something I really miss at grocery stores. It’s so difficult to unload everything, bag it all, and pay without holding up the line if you’ve done a big shop.Wish they would open more checkout lanes and hire people to bag groceries.

This store has come a long way since it was first opened. Was a Foodtown. Then switched to. The Fresh Grocer. Prices are so much lower than stop and shop. And kings. Love the meat dept. Vinny in the deli is awesome. Great service!

Looked high and low and in many Italian markets for Caputo semola flour for handmade pasta but this is where I found it. It’s not with any of the other flour so if you have trouble finding it just ask for assistance. Bit of a gloomy store but who cares about the environment when they have what you want - will be back.

You want Italian desserts, delicatessen cold cuts, prepared food you go here. The price to quality ratio is very good.

Great store with great employees. Never had anything bad from here. Meat department has great store made hamburgers. The Nick's picks burgers and their hot dogs are the go to for our BBQs. Everyone always loves the burgers. We get salmon and shrimp from the fish dept and never had an issue always fresh never had anything that smelled or tasted "off". The store made mozzarella is some of the best around. Deli counter flows well even when its busy. The prepared meals are always good and they have a good selection. Short ribs or beef stew and mashed is another go to for us when we don't feel like going out or cooking.

Clean grocery store with a wide selection of food and drinks. Kind of pricey but the standard for the area. They offer warm food that is pretty good from the ones I've tried. Usually quiet most days of the week, bread selection is limited but that isn't a deal breaker.

It's a good grocery store. You may find a good selection of Italian foods. There is a good seafood selection.In general, it seems to be more expensive as our local Stop-n-Shop while the selection of products is similar. I don't see myself preferring this store unless I need oysters or some special cheeses.

Always a pleasure shopping here when I'm in the area. Constant customer flow keeps product turning over quickly. Very good selection of fresh products. Also, and really important to me, from the store manager down, absolutely great group of people. Staff always willing to lend a hand or answer a question. Best wishes for continued success. Fresh Grocer is expensive but has a great selection of quick meals. If you need don’t need to do a big grocery shopping run. This place is a good place to stop quickly.

This building has gone through many changes. I think The Fresh Grocer is the best! Before, it wasNicholas Markets and it was great too, but now it's under the Shoprite Bowl and Basket name (Wakefern food corp). Which makes it more affordable than when it was just Nicholas Markets.

I had an at-home baby shower to plan and am I glad I chose Fresh Grocer for our party. Not only was the delivery on time, but the service was friendly. The platters were fresh and bountiful. On top of that the bakery made cupcakes to order.. with moon, stars, and clouds to go with the party theme! Thank you all!

I really liked this store when it opened, pricing is competitive and I like the seafood department and butcher department. On two occasions the butcher has been very rude when asked a question. It's a shame because they have really good meat products. If I don't need anything from the butcher I will still shop there but only if convenient. I'll be back when he opens his mouth to the wrong guy or gets dismissed.I’m changing my review from one star to four as I’ve had great experiences lately. I also want to commend the seafood department as they are always friendly and helpful!

Great renovation and very nice staff. Fresh ingredients and produce and great selection of seafood. I wish they had some more artisanal features like a coffee bar or grind area, but otherwise this place is great. Cheese selection is great.

Great place for bagels, dairy and some meats and seafood. Hot bar is good but use to be better with the prior chef. Stuffed artichokes were fantastic. Produce is ok, but not a great assortment. Personnel is pleasant and very helpful. Store is clean.

Decent store. But Horrible and hateful service. Asked politely to have a few items voided as the coupon for two in particular items didn’t work. The first time I asked the older woman working at register 4 was absolutely hateful about it. Slammed her fingers on the computer in a rude way and slammed the phone down also. The second time she continued to do the same. Mind you I never asked Rudely and I never was impolite, I then told her NICELY, that if the coupon wasn’t going to work then I wanted to save my money and not get the items because it defeats the purpose. She then YELLED, “you should have looked at first!” How was that my fault? Your store placed an item with a coupon at the front of the display. At this point I felt humiliated being treated this way publicly. So I then consulted with the manager who was a younger lady who was empathetic and sweet about the situation. I don’t think I would come back here. It is my money coming out of MY pocket. She had no reason to be upset about it. Very disappointed and unhappy.

Bakery has some great items including fresh bread, rolls and bagels. The deli has some good items and the produce is decent. The biggest problem with the store is the customer service - it really is terrible. The attitude of the deli staff has improved a bit but customer service at the front still tends to act like they're doing a favor by helping you and have no problem ignoring you, as others have mentioned. My biggest complaint is the fresh mozzarella; they had it shipped in from their other store while they were finishing construction and it was unbelievably good; just like when I was a kid that we would get fresh from the Italian deli..... now that they make it in store -it simply is not good. It has a gummy consistency. I don't know why they can't get it right but I won't buy it anymore. It's such a shame and I have mentioned it but they don't seem to acknolwedge the problem and that, I think, is what sums up where this store falls short. They don't seem to hear the feedback the customers are giving and turn a blind eye to the problems with the staff. Overall it's not bad but could be much better

It's an improvement, appearance wise, over the A&P that use to be there. Aisle layouts make more sense and more closely resemble other super markets. The bakery is very expansive and has a lot to offer.

Unfortunately the fresh grocer was not so fresh on my visit today! The veggie section had items that needed to be pulled, and it didn't seem they were keeping up with stocking the shelves in many sections of store. On a Wed visit. Grocery clerks were very nice and helpful.

Great food great variety of products great customer service floors are really really clean and if anybody does break something they're there right away to clean it up. I would recommend this place to shop. Customer service is really really good. And all the employees are acknowledgable of the products and a different departments that they're in and they go out of their way to help you.

The tall brunette woman in courtesy is rude, and half the "adults" I've had to deal with for one issue or another act as if they're still in Highschool.. Asides from that, the prices stayed high or went higher but now carry lower, ShopRite quality products. Very disappointed in what has become of this place.

Looks nice from the outside, smaller selection than shop rite and stop and shop, pricing seemed a bit higher than other markets. My first time here and I did not have a savings card, so I asked the cashier to use a store card so I could get the sale prices, but he said there is no store card-so I paid full price-oh well-back to Shop Rite for me.
