The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate that they didn’t try to strongarm us into spending extra on things that weren’t necessary. They gave us ample information so we could make informed decisions. Then we walked out with the cutest Sun Conure that was named Butch but we renamed him to Skittles :)

Great shop! They've got a great variety of toys and food for your birdie. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I originally came in because I'm gonna be boarding my Conure and I wanted to see the area he would be staying! It's nice and clean. I feel comfortable having them care for my bird while I'm away.

I purchased my Senegal parrot(Max) here over 30 years ago. He has been a phenomenal companion & has received great care from the PBS staff over the years when I take him for clippings. I purchase all his food & toys here. He has made great friends w Bill & Joe in particular! ☺️ Great family owned business. Highly recommend, best selection of birds in the area, bar none.

I have two birds and I love this place every time I bring my birds here they’re so sweet, kind, gentle and knowledgeable with my birds. I boarded both of them here for a week and they both were token in such good care of. A few weeks ago, I went to go and get my birds wings clipped at another business and they said that they would leave a few flight feathers on him, so he still has that “beauty “and I also like how Patterson Bird Store specifically specializes on birds, another bird store, I have gone have reptiles and rodents, I love this place five at the stars if I could get 10 I would totally recommend.

I set up a account to receive points towards MY purchases; so i have a scarlet Macaw now I’ve gotten his beak and nails cut as well as purchases of his food. Now I’ve been going here for at least two years and I’ve never been ask if I have a account on file until I saw them ask another customer did they have a account they said yes and gave them their phone number i was next a I was asked but I provided mine as the associate is the same one who usually takes care of me I ask her why she never ask me for my number so I could accumulate points as well moral of this is I’ve lost out on hundreds of points & discounts from this store all because a simple gesture of not being asked if I have a account set up. I definitely felt some type of way after I witness the associate asking the other customers for their phone numbers associated with there accounts SHE HAS NEVER EVEN ATTEMPTED TO ASK ME I and BROUGHT IT TO HER ATTENTION of course all I’m saying about them is to be very respectful to ALL PAYING CUSTOMERS WE ARE EQUAL IN 2023 Stop it I blame Your home raising; her parents shame on them.

The Paterson Bird Store is one of the BEST bird stores I've seen! Their staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and extremely nice people!!! They have a wide array of birds (from small Finches all the way to large Parrots). I must commend them on how they treat their birds and their cages. Every time I've been there the bird's cages we're immaculately clean and they handle their birds gently and humanely! Even the layout of their store is top notch! They also sell a wide variety of bird seed that is specialized for each bird they sell. As well as a huge selection of bird cages and toys. If you are interested in purchasing a bird, and you are shopping around for the quality of bird and price, I would highly recommend visiting The Paterson Bird Store! It is a high quality one stop shop for *EVERYTHING* you need for your feathered friend! I could go on forever about how wonderful this store is!! I promise you that you won't be disappointed visiting their establishment!!! I am personally buying my Sun Conure there once it is weened of baby formula. I would give The Paterson Bird Store 10 stars if I could! I would *HIGHLY RECOMMEND* them to anyone looking to purchase a bird or bird accessories. It has been an absolute delight working with their staff and visiting their store!!!

About 20 years ago, believe it or not, I was off from work and it was pouring raining out and my kids were disappointed with the weather, so we got in the car anyway and I drove around and we came across the bird store. We went in and they had a bunch of baby green cheeked conures. My son got a kick out of them, he loved them. The woman there was so nice and sweet, she told us all about them. My son of course wanted one, but we had so many pets, I told him maybe another day. So here I am 20 years later with a house that is too quiet and no more pets but I remembered everything that sweet woman told me about the green cheeks, I looked up the store and it was still there. I decided to go and check them out. Everyone still so nice, beautiful birds. Rachel helped me, she was wonderful and sweet and so so knowledgeable. I brought home a Yellow-sided green cheek yesterday. I wanted say thank you so much to everyone who works there, great people. And Rachel is the best, she truly a wonderful person. I’m very happy with my green cheek. I haven’t named her yet, we’re still getting to know each other. I won’t go anywhere else for my supplies. And who knows maybe I’ll get another bird there one day.

Paterson Bird Store is an experienced bird store that is clean and humane with very friendly staff. However, their services- nail and wing clippings- are a real hit or miss. The gentleman is great and is another lady, but the others need better training. The lady who clipped my cockateil's wings yesterday was terrible- they were unevenly cut and look terrible. Also, only 2 nails were cut, I had to go home (after paying) to cut the nails myself.Please train your staff better.

Love This Store!! Just Yesterday, I bought a lovely male parakeet for my other female at home. Our recent loss of Pigeon (Females mate) has had a impact on Her. While I was looking at the birds, Ellen helped me understand some thing I did not understand before. And with her help, I took home a mature parakeet which I named Bluey♡ She gifted us 2 Millet Sprays, 3 tiny toys, and another staff member gave us a red perch:) Bluey was so quick to adapting to his new environment, that he starts to explore the place! Never seen a bird get so comfortable that quick!! Amazing Service! Will definitely be buying here more often!!

Great store very well stocked with high quality items for the Pet Bird "Child" in your house. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and caring about the birds brought there be it feather clipping or claw trimming and of course boarding.Highly recommended

just wanted to share an unsatisfactory experience I had at paterson bird store on 1/25/22. only bird store i know and been to this store many many times and never had an issue until this week. bought first cockatiel in 2013 (now have 3 birds) and been going there for food, boarding and trimming when necessary. had bought 3 food trays ($1.98 each) with food the last time i was there. trays wouldn't stay fixed in the cage so figured I'd return them the next time i go to buy food. so when i tried to return them the other day, young girl kept pointing to the sign that said receipt needed for returns. she said she needed it to look up in POS system. so I told her i could pull it up on my phone but she said paper receipt required. she was going to look up the sale anyways so couldn't understand why she couldn't look it up if i provided her with the exact time and the amount of transaction. credit card receipts only show total amount, not itemized. she kept on saying no returns without PAPER receipt. only $6 so didn't pursue any further. but left a sour taste in my mouth. i just think it's a bad customer service. i was only trying to get store credit for plastic, unused food trays. if you're the type who never keeps the receipt, this place isn't for you. or just buy the food like i will from now on.

This place is fantastic.My poor little Ziggy needed help. He is a crazy little cockatiel who’s wings and nails were desperately in need of repair.,Anyway, I had been a regular customer many years ago and didn’t know that they were still here but upon looking for help for my little Ziggy on Google I couldn’t believe when I saw Paterson bird store!!😀. I went on there website asap and booked an appointment.They were great and took great care of Ziggy who needed a lot of work but he is now out of pain and a very happy silly bird again thanks to The staff at Paterson bird. Store. If you have a funny little feathered friend who needs a spa treatment, this is where you want to take he or she.Great care, reasonable prices and I give them 10 stars.

The place had so many cute birds… but the place was near closing time and the girl seemed gloomy. I don’t know if she is tired or having a bad day, but it was a bit of a downer since I have been trying to go there for emotional support from losing my lorikeet. Regardless of not feeling great the girl really tried to do her best with me. I appreciate that.

The expert staff is friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. On top of all that, they really care about their customers and their birds.
