We have taken not one dog but 3 over the years. One was a rescue adopt and a nipper and Allison took pity on him inspite of it. And he was always cute when she was done. Everyone is so nice and they treat all of the pets very nicely. We have never had anything but a wonderful experience every time! Maggie Scott loves it there and thinks she is something with her pretty nails and smelling amazing! I would swear she struts! Thank you always!

Brought my dog here for the third time. First two times were great. Last time, we had a different person and they shaved my dogs whiskers down to the skin. His face was all pink and inflamed. Groomer mentioned nothing and my dog has been acting different since. Must have either been painful or traumatic for him. Either way, this place is not consistent and I would not recommend taking your beloved pet here. Just to clarify, this is not normal, as I have taken him here twice prior.

Easy access & very interactive with both the animals and the clients they service . I was here for another purpose which did not go as scheduled but from what I saw excellent for grooming .

Alison is awesome,!We trusted our two Yorkies to her for years. We can be confident she is gentle and caring.Now she washes and grooms our Havanese.Highly recommended.

I'm so happy to have found the salty dog. After our pug Meatball had a horrible experience somewhere else, he was the calmest I've seen since he was a puppy getting his nails trimmed! You know your dealing with professionals when your dog feels safe. Thank you sooo much guys! We will deff be back.

We have been visiting Salty Dog for over 10 years. My childhood dog first, and now my parents 2 dogs and my dog. I travel from PA to get him groomed here when I visit home. Our pups always look great and Alison cares so much about the dogs, which you can see based on how she greets them. I am always asked how I want him to be cut to which I always reply same way you always do. 10/10 recommend!

Casey came out to groom our 3 dogs this morning. She had great rapport with each of them, was thorough, gentle, and they all did great! She was fantastic! Prices are very reasonable. Would recommend.

Nice people, great work. On my first visit a bunch of burs were taken out of my puppy's ears. It was an emergency visit, no charge. The second time it was a full grooming and she came out both looking good and feeling happy.

We were pleased with the service and outcome of the grooming. Liked that we were asked specifics of how we would like our dog trimmed and that was what we got. He looks good and is a breed that is not common and is not shaved. Have already scheduled the next appt.

perfect place, my dog has terrible anxiety and she’s not good with new people at all. i took her today and she received the most patient and loving care. not only are they good with the dogs they do great cuts too for a reasonable price. i’ll definitely be going back!!

I recently had to take in my father's 13 year old Boxer when he passed in December. Following a vet visit to bring her shots up to date, the vet also noted she was covered in fleas. I took her to Pet-Valu to give her a wash, but they wouldn't allow it due to the fleas, which was understandable. They recommended Salty Dog across the street.So, I headed over and asked if they happened to take walk-ins. They typically do not, and were already booked for the day. They asked me what type of dog I had, etc. I explained my situation, and they told me to bring the dog in! They said she would be ready in about an hour or so. You can tell they really care about your pet here, and their prices were very affordable in my opinion. I will certainly be revisiting when it's time for another bath and pedicure! Thanks again, Salty Dog staff, we look forward to visiting again soon!

My dogs are treated like royalty here! We have been coming here for 4 years and I can’t say good things about Allison and the rest of the staff. They are so kind and accommodating. It feels good to know my dogs are in such good hands.

I brought my 2 1/2 year old lab mix there today her name is maia and she was absolutely ecstatic at salty dog. She usually goes just for nails and or anals but i decided to actually start getting her groomed again because she tends to shed alot and she loves water and taking baths. i was really nervous to bring her because she has a tendency to bark and or lunge at people when nervous or scared and this has been pretty much everywhere we go. But when i started bringing her for nails and anals i could see the staff were well acquainted and knew how to handle it they never showed any fear or concern and just did their job and did it well. Maia went to allison and she came out so happy and it honestly eased all my concerns and made me feel so happy to bring her somewhere i knew she was being well taken care of and i don’t have to worry about whether or not they can handle her. They are so sweet and kind and i cannot express enough gratitude because being a dog groomer is NOT easy.

I Have been taking my dog there for quite awhile now they are always calm courteous and very professionalwould recommend salty dogs... for whatever type of grooming your dog needs.. they are the best!!! ...update they are the best at cutting the dogs nails I cant wait to bring my babies there to get their nails done I wish I could do it my self but these ladies are definitely good at what they are doing by the time my dog has the chance to even cry they are done and gentle about it .see ya soon ...

Place is clean and tidy. The staff are nice, the groomers are pleasant and they make you feel like they are capable of taking good care of your pets...and they do. They make you feel like they understand how much trust it takes for you to leave your pets behind, and that is a big plus. Not to mention they do great work and priced very reasonable too.

I always forget to write a review after i bring my dog and post a picture, but i was just looking at her and remembered that she needs a trim. They were amazing with her when i first brought her in, i called first thing in the morning because when we got her the night before from a friend of the family who rescued her she was all matted up and needed to be tended to immediately. They were so gentle and patient with her I didn't even recognize her when I got her back. They know who she is every time I bring her and they always say she does well. I've brought her to a few other places because I am so bad at appointments and I have to get better because I really don't like bringing her anywhere else. I would recommend this place to anyone who listens.

Our dog left here worse than what he came in. Our regular groomer was booked and he needed a bath and a trim around his face and privates.They claimed he tried to nip at them while being groomed. He has never ever nipped at the groomer before. So, instead of calling us, they muzzeled him. Our dog has never been muzzled before.He came back cut all uneven, cut in places we didn't even ask to be cut. They didn't trim his face. They didn't get any of the knots out and he actually came back with more knots. He came back all itchy, for days. I called them 4 hours later to check in on him, and he was just getting back on their table. Where was he for 4 hours?We now have a hard time brushing him, which we never did, ever since he left this place.I do not recommend bringing your dogs here if you want them muzzled and crated! 2 things he isn't used to.

Salty Dog is the best grooming place I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going there for many years. My dogs are treated well and they come back beautiful from the beauty salon. I swear by this place. Robert greet you with open arms. Kim is my groomer for years and years. Love her.

This was my first and last experience at Salty Dog. I brought my Shitzu to this establishment at 10 am and did not receive a call until 2 pm, saying she was done. When they brought her out, I thought she was another customer's dog. She was cut down to her actual skin. They stated that she was matted up so badly that she needed to be cut like that. Mind you she had a haircut 2 months ago...I don't know what dog gets matted up in 2 months in which a professional shop cuts a dog to look like a naked mole rat. Spoke to the "stylist" that gave me every excuse in the book. The best part was when the stylist and secretary were asking each other if the dog was mine. I paid $56 and change for Salty Dog to butcher a haircut. Please save your money and find a groomers that is worth your time and money.***********************************************Since Google does not have a feature that allows me to respond back to the owner. This is my response:***********************************************I was notified she was going to be "cut a little short", not bald. Short and bald are two different things. If it was going to take 4 hours to give my dog a buzzcut I would have done it myself. A simple phone call indicating what "vision" your stylist had would have sufficed. The haircut that was given was out of pure laziness. I hope in the future you will notify clients about your time stipulations and that it will be a 4 hour turn around time as well as clarifying the haircuts you will be giving to their beloved companion.

My dog left Salty dog shaking and I just thought they cut him short and is cold. And the next day he was yelping every time someone picked him up. I took him to the vet and they said he hurt his neck that he must have fell off grooming table and started to hang himself. So I called the groomer and found out a new person trimmed him and they denied that any thing happened. They were quick to say that they don’t recall anything happening and he might of hurt him self when they had him in back. I have taken my dog here since he was a puppy so like five years. But never again.

I have two older dogs...with special needs at the groomer. I find this place to be the best for me. Kim does whatever she can to schedule a time when they do not have to be there too long and they come home looking like young pups!!! Also, front desk lady is wonderful.

Staff is very friendly and all seem to love our dog, which is important. One minor issue is that they schedule appointments in four-hour intervals, and we're not sure why.

Been getting my cat’s nail trim here, it is cheaper than doing it at the vet or pet store. No appointment needed, I’m usually out by 5 minutes
