I have been a regular here for years. It is probably the best hardware store in Bergen county. But calling it a hardware store is selling it short because they have a full lumberyard so you can just about get anything here for construction that you can at Home Depot. Everyone is nice, the selection is excellent, there is plenty of parking, and the prices are fair across the board. Highly recommended.

Friendly neighborhood hardware store. They usually have what you'll need for smaller projects/repairs. Lumber yard is always fully stocked.

I'm a local resident and went specifically to refill 2 propane tanks and buy some pavers. They said the yard closes at 430 although the store closes at 530. It was 4:25. They chose not to refill the tanks and instead told me to go to a nearby Luke oil gas station to exchange tanks instead....

Benjamin Brothers never disappoints. The moment you walk in, there is always someone there welcoming you and asking if you need help. Although sometimes they do not have as much of a selection as a big box store, their knowledge and expertise is well worth shopping with fewer options. They have been around forever and I hope they stay around! Highly recommend!

This is one of the last non-big-box hardware stores around. They have a good lumber yard and a very good hardware selection. I like it. Only thing is, I'd like their hours to be earlier in the morning and later in the evening.

A very nice hometown hardware store. Grew up near it and has had things pretty much for all you needed. Employees are there to help and are very knowledgeable. Would go to if I'm in the area before Lowe's.

I've been going there for years. Staff is great and they have a lot of stuff in stock. Their prices are reasonable and they're always very helpful. You can skip home Depot and get in and out of this store very quickly

Great local hardware store- they somehow have everything I ever needed, no matter how random the piece seemed.Their prices are also very fair. I’m a price conscious shopper and whenever I’m there I compare parts with various apps on my phone, and they are always very competitive.The people are knowledgeable both in stock locations, as well as some tips on getting the job done.I really like this little store.

Dave and the cashier's were a big help. They were all very friendly. Dave helped me not only with my walker but also helped me to sit down in a chair, that was available, because I was having so much trouble. The whole store looks really good. The people that work there looked well dressed and, ready for what or who ever comes along. I was really, really impressed. Thank you!💯🌟🏆🥇🎗️‼️

I do so love going to this hardware store. Yes, it's a chain, but the staff makes it feel like a local store, and any time I can go here before Home Depot I do (not a knock again Home Depot; this just has a calmer, more collegial feeling). Everyone is incredibly helpful, and my home repairs have gone more smoothly because of their help.

Great place. Old school hardware store and the staff actually knows what they are talking about. Go here instead of the big box store. Prices are same or close enough to not need to deal with the headache.

Everytime I come here the item I need is available. I want to only do local shopping and at last ditch go to home Depot. Really, I go to Dumont hardware first and then to Benjamin Brothers. The proprietor of Dumont hardware suggests BB if he does not carry the item

PROS: This is the best hardware store around. They have everything you need from home appliances all the way to your car. Normally, I always walk out of the store with the item I was looking for. They are on a side street with a decent size parking lot which makes it a good location:CONS: They are the most overpriced place I have ever been in. I can find the same stuff in lowes or the Home Depot for a quarter of the price at the same quality. Also, some of the employees in there are not that nice. They act as if they just don't want to be there.OVERALL: I think their quality, location and quantity of items are the greatest in the area, however, The home Depot is much better at those aspects. If you don't mind spending extra money, and you live closer to tenafly than a Home Depot, then I recommend this place.
