Our little family wanted to have a nice lunch on a beautiful day and landed here. We sat outside and got to experience the beautiful views and water. Our server was exceptional and everything came out timely. The drinks were the best part but the food is nothing to minimize. If you’ve been a long time ago and didn’t enjoy it, give it another chance. It’ll make a great outdoor date night for any couple or friends.

Been coming to OCNJ for 20 years, and this was the first year we crossed over into Strathmere to visit The Deauville Inn. Not only was the food fresh and delicious, the service was better than any service my family has experienced in a long time. Our server, Megan, took our dining experience from a 10/10 to an 11. Would recommend this place for anyone celebrating a special occasion, or if you just wanted to treat yourself to an amazing meal!

Always love coming to the Deauville for the great food and views. The wait for a table is never too long and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Last visit, we had the perfect seat right by the edge with a perfect view of the sunset. Kelly, our server, was awesome! Highly recommend this place and its a must-visit whenever I'm in the area.

This was our one night out during our shore week and enjoyed it very much. Great variety on the menu. We ordered a few appetizers to share (calamari, lobster fritters and the soft pretzel). Didn't love the lobster fritters (just tasted like dough) but everything else was great. I enjoyed the double lobster tails which were outstanding. Pleasant waitstaff. Beautiful sunset.

Cold beer, attentive bartenders. Stopped in for a late lunch. Food came out quick and hot. Oysters quatre were four Oysters in four different small toppings, Bloody Mary, cerviche, vinegar. Sorry forget the 4th one. Different and worth it. Wings were on point, and long hots were hot as they should be. Great spot!

Deauville always offers a fantastic ambiance for drinks, but as a vegetarian, I wouldn’t recommend eating here. When I visited last year, I had an amazing caprese salad, but unfortunately, they removed it from this year’s menu, which was incredibly disappointing. The only options available to me were a plain salad with greens and dressing, along with a side of fries, which didn’t leave me satisfied. I would still return for drinks and perhaps outdoor appetizers, but I won’t dine in the main dining room unless they introduce new vegetarian options.

Visited this place today, 12/27/2023, during our holiday week. Chris, our bartender and server, was welcoming and nice. Beer was cold and tasty. However, the food we ordered WAS NOT good. The crab cake had mostly filling and almost no crab meat, the prime cheese steak was greasy, and the onions rings were oily and cold. Regarding food, the homemade chips were the only good item we ordered. We are dissapointed about the food, which used to be tasty and good quality.

The Deauville Inn handled the large party really well. It was about 30 people and Lynn did a really great job bouncing between our two tables and getting us everything we needed. The appetizers were amazing. The chilled and old bay seasoned shrimp (semi-pre pealed) was delicious, calamari and wings were my favorite. The cocktail sauce was more like spicy ketchup, but I had the shrimp with just lemon and it tasted great. I had the broiled jumbo shrimp with crab cake. The shrimp was good, but I wish the crab cake was sitting on the side. It was drenched and a bit soggy. It still tasted ok, but it definitely changed the texture of the dish. My husband had Lady of the Inn cut— It was such a massive hunk of meat. It was well seasoned and cooked nicely. Shoutout to Lynn— she was so nice! Just note: a lady associated with the valet parking was a bit rude to some people in our party. I don’t know the exact details— I just heard a lot of yelling. It was not a fun way to kick off the dinner, but I didn’t knock off any stars because I was purely rating based on the food and service from The Deauville Inn. Just be aware that when the parking lot is full— I guess it can be stressful for the valet workers, so try and give yourself extra time so you don’t have any unpleasant interactions.

The Garden State is known for their beaches, boardwalks, and bay side spots. The Deauville Inn, located in Strathmere, gives guests the perfect opportunity to enjoy drinks along the bay. One can either dine on the patio or in the exquisite dining room. The menu features selections such as burgers, fish, and steak. This waterfront restaurant is definitely recommended when visiting the shores of New Jersey.

Great food, wonderful atmosphere.The scallops were wonderful! We had a really sweet waitress who was very helpful with recommendations.My only comment is that there was only one vegetarian option on the menu.Vegetarian options: There was a Caesar salad (with anchovies) on the menu. Other than that everything was meat or seafood based.

We were able to sit outside and there is a nice view of the water. They have several docks so you can pull right up with your boat. Both the food and drinks were delicious. Our server was very friendly.

Loved loved loved the crab Louie. If you love crab and egg salad it is a must! The atmosphere and being on the water was so beautiful. Only problem was the snapper in the photo was soo salty. Overall I definitely would go again just not for the snapper

Great place and view at outside dining. Delicious food and great service. Was not busy at the time on our visit. She crab bisque is so good, you must try it but everything is perfect. I got the caesar salad with salmon for my main entre, they made it so good too. The chicken burger cooked perfectly. Thank you and stay safe.

This place has a lot of ups and downs. Let’s start with the good. The food was good, the location and scenery is terrific, and staff was friendly. I ordered the deauville burger and fries. It tasted great. The staff was also pretty friendly. I love eating a nice dinner while looking out at the water. The views of the water are pretty hard to beat. The bad part about this restaurant is that the food is pretty expensive for what you get and you can’t make reservations. I loved the food, but it was certainly not worth the prices they charge. I also don’t like how they don’t take reservations. I went mid-week and there was still a 45 minute wait for a table. It’s a shame they can’t take reservations. Overall though, if you are looking for a nice meal on the water, and time and money are not issues for you, then you’d enjoy this restaurant.

They really did a great job revamping this establishment. The outdoor seating on the bay is so relaxing. Cold beer, raw bar, and other food choices you would expect at the jersey shore. We ordered the wings. They came quick and hot. Will be back soon for their crab soup.

Nice waterside dining spot. The She Crab soup is excellent. The menu has nice dinner choices as well as sandwiches and appetizers. Go early if you don't want a long wait because the place fills up quickly during the dinner hours. Pick a nice night and sit outside on the porch; makes for a real shore dining experience. Update: 6/11/23 - The Deauville Inn has become a regular stop for me and my family whenever we are in Ocean City, NJ. If you like great waterside dining, great food and a lively crowd, this is the place. Besides the dining areas there is a sand bar area where you can, sit, drink and mingle. It’s a real happy place; I love it. Pictured below is the She Crab soup (to DIE for), and the Lobster Roll which I am hopelessly addicted to. If you are in the area, go there. You might have a wait; we were told an hour which turned out to be twenty minutes and the parking lots fill up but there are plenty of local streets to park on if you don’t mind a short walk. It’s all worth it.

The prime rib seemed a little small for the price but it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Stuffed flounder had a ton of fresh crab. Mixed drinks were refreshing. Kraken sundae dessert was very unique. Would definitely return next year.August 2021 - 1 starI honestly hate to leave a bad review. As you can see I said we would return and we did but this will be the last. The entire experience was terrible. They don't hand out menus unless you ask your server for them. The male host had an attitude and threw a dinner roll plate over the qr code to scan for the online menu which didn't seem to load on their wifi. He put down a single plate, no silverware.They raised the prices significantly. All entrees average $42. The prime rib was over $50. I chose the Jersey Shore which was ok but not worth the price. Our server didn't seem to know the menu well and was overwhelmed. We never received refills other than water, was never asked. My aunt was very shocked that the gaspacho soup had oysters in it. We didn't bother with dessert.I guess the combination of reviews makes it 2 stars. I'm not sure what the deal was but there's no excuse for that pisspoor of service and execution. A restaurant really has to go a long way to displease me.

Lovely view, excellent meal (we had salmon and crab cakes), and Cape May Brewing Company options on tap. So why 4 instead of 5? This was our second visit, the last being for lunch several years ago. Both times, the hostess was so rude it was almost comical. Our server was great and so was everyone involved with the indoor area.When the staff make you skip revisiting a restaurant, for years, time to get better staff or train them better.

Went here years ago several times as a kid with my parents and always enjoyed the experience; specifically it being a beautiful, ocean-front eatery. I can’t speak for their customers that've been here since the mid ‘90s, but I remember them having a solid kid’s menu, good customer service, an optimal seating location and good seafood (from what my parents told me). It’s pricey, but that’s what you pay for/expect, given the location and menu.Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly restaurant and environment
