I'm almost 92 yrs old and love this store. Been going there since 1999 when I moved into this area. My 67 yr old daughter & her husband and son also shop here. My only complaint is sometimes they're out of eggplant and/or fresh parsley/basil.

So fun fact this store is mediocre at best what u need to knw the last 7 yrs they had an issue w mold in there dairy dept under the shelving not sure if they bothered ever getting that fixed, 2nd when I worked there they required mantianece personal to remove the meat from th refrigation units at night which since it's 2 separate unions the might have been illegal in this state I'm guessing since 7 months later they no longer require maintenance people to do that, also back in December I slipped and fell in that store no one took that seriously like it wasn't a major issue lukcly I didn't get seriously injured but I'm sure it didn't help my back at all and today the ripped up a coupon I wanted to use simply bc I found it in the coupon dispenser at the self check out so congratulations shoprite u saved a 1.50 today and lost 200.00 I spend a month may not be much but I would not recommend for people to shop at this store. Find better more respectable places to shop there is no shortage of places customers can shop where ever they want.

$50 a pound for filet mignon that is an end cut with thick pieces of fat running through it. No flavor at all. Total waste of money.

Not happy with recent change in policy of self serve lines being restricted to 20 items or less. This needs to be accompanied with an increase in cashiers and better massaging

I really hate how the cold cuts are done here30 minutes min wait time through app. When trying to order as any other stores do it feels as they are doing you a favor. Unfortunately, there are no other choice in the area. plus digital coupons, paper coupons, type in your membership, did you use the app, crazy it almost like they want you to spend 10 minutes at check out

Store is nice and clean. Great freshly prepared foods section. My biggest issue is with the deli/cold cut counter. Told 15 minutes for cold cuts, takes 30min+. Store was basically empty. Did all of our shopping, came back and still had to wait an additional 10 min for two items. Needs to be improved, we were ready to walk out.

This is a Villsge Foods store, not like any of the others in the Franchise. The others are a disaster,Blue Star(being remodeled ) Garwood, who creates hazards in the store & rarely has what you want, Springfield, forget about it. Now I live in FAR HILLS went to B'ville store, terrible produce, sea food has been out of the Ocean way too long, meat case is lacking but lots of Dairy, won't go back rather drive 20miles round trip to STERLING, clean spacious well run stocked to the 9s. If U can't find it ,it dosent exist, employees are happy & most willing to help. One thing I wish you would consider is accepting the United Health Care OTC Card for grocery. It would be most appreciated, by us older & disabled.

AVOID! every item you pick up is $7-, from garbage snacks to food items. PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS! yet the staples pasta can sauce, frozen veggies are the same pre fakedemic. whats that tell you? orchestrated price gouge.

Pre-made salads clearly just got hit by shrinkflation. Packages are changed to make it look like you still get a lot but it's definitely less and things are missing. No more tomatoes in the Caesar salads? Of course the prices didn't change.

Good selection but they leave a lot of expired/very near expired food and produce on the shelves. Grabbed a carton of milk and it was 2 weeks past expiration. Fruits and vegetables don’t last more than a day or two. The staff is very rude and unhelpful.

I can get lost in this store because of the mass selection. I love their layout with all the produce and seafood on the right side the pharmacy in the middle, and the rest on the left. Prices are “rite” and I’ve shopped here long enough to know that my food will be fresh as well. They have a sushi bar and hot food selection which are decent, and they always have sale on meat.

Location is well stocked great produce selection. They tend to only carry organic fresh herbs which can be costly. The deli seafood and bakery all well stocked and clean. They seem to be expanding their healthy food section. It’s looking good! Staff is friendly and available if needed. This store has a nice shopping flow. As of late it has been rather crowded. Likely due to the closure of Kings. The parking lot design could be better. It tends to flood so be sure to wear rain boots on a wet day or your socks are doomed.

10.11.23The Butcher Counter is back!Get the Tri-meat burger, or a delicious steak, you won't regret it!I am so pleased to see this counter return. Their meats are superb!8.18.23I just went to Stirling ShopRite and was very disappointed to see the Butcher counter is closed! This, after they already closed the custom sandwich bar, was a real let down!It appears that ShopRite is intent upon no longer providing those "special" things that set it apart from other local stores, such as Stop & Shop in The Lyons Mall.I no longer have any reason to deal with larger crowds etc, at ShopRite when I can now get everything they offer elsewhere.ShopRite, you still have time to fix this!I hope you do...--- Prior Review ---Great place, gracious helpful staff, only issue is that it is too big!Try their Tri-Meat burgers at The Butcher's Counter. They are 8 oz, delicious, and only $3.50 a piece! You won't be disappointed!

Very large grocery store with all the departments you would expect to find (meat, seafood, produce, bakery, deli, florist) plus a large organic section with fresh made foods and a mini convenience store to make picking up essential items quicker. Also you can pre order and they will pick out your items and have them waiting for you to pick up!

Usually great. Ordered my sons birthday cake from there which was a seemless process and came out perfectly. Good variety and well stocked. Only complaint is opening slimy pre-cut veggies (both organic and non-organic) on occasion and produce isn’t always the freshest.

Consistently one of the worst produce departments. The selection is there but most of the time the vegetables are close to expiration. Onions, garlic, some greens and berries tend to be mushy and rot within a few days. Compared to the same vegetables procured from other markets that last much longer.I like ShopRite for the staples / dry goods but find myself going out of the way for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Crowded, shelves bare & cashier was useless. Checkout amount approximately $300 plus, didn't even make attempt to help bag. Instead, he started ringing up customer next in line.

This store is bigger then it looks. It has a huge produce/freashly made to-go section. A great organic/vegan/gluten-free section. Prices with the card are good. I went in the middle of the day on a weekday and it wasn't that busy but I hear it gets really crowded during peak hours so if you can avoid those. The employees were really nice and helpful.

It's been a while so I thought a new review was in order. Still the same supermarket, but if you get there anytime after 8:30-9:00, they take away all the green perishables. If you need parsley, spinach, lettuce, etc, they take it all away. I know the workers want to get out of there as soon they can, but would it kill them to wait until 9:30? Also, if you want something in the bakery at anytime of the day, there is rarely anyone there. I know places are short staffed, so at least put a sign up saying "we're in the back" or something so we know where we can find someone. Overall, prices are pretty good so this is my usual go-to supermarket.***Beautiful supermarket, but they need new employees in the deli area. I was there today around 7:30 PM and there was one man helping customers and one man cleaning the bread area (the bread area is in the deli area). The man that was cleaning the bread area had no business cleaning anything because the deli area doesn't close until 9. There were two people in the deli area (myself and another woman) and I was being helped. The other woman waited about 5 minutes until she confronted the man who was cleaning. Once he was confronted, he stopped cleaning to help her. Why was he cleaning around 7:30 when the deli closes at 9? He blatantly ignored the woman until she said something. But that's not the only thing wrong with the deli area. I hate bashing workers but the man helping me took about 15 minutes to cut a half a pound of ham, half a pound of turkey and half a pound of cheese. FIFTEEN MINUTES!!! All I could do was watch and for some reason, he just moved so, SO slowly. I really don't understand how that man is working there. I frequent this supermarket, and this is the first time I've seen this man, but if I ever see him in the deli, I'm waiting for someone else. I love this supermarket, but they need some new workers in the deli area.

It's large and clean, but I feel like the value proposition has gone down and doesn't feel like I get as good of a deal nowadays, especially compared to the Acme in New Providence.

Store is one of the best with great selections and prices. Unfortunately the parking lot is one of the dirtiest with lots of trash., in the carts too. To make matters worse this all ends up in the Passaic River after it rains which is next to the store.

This store was great up until about two months ago. I’m not sure what happened but the deli has been getting worse - at first it was just Boars head brands that were out of stock for a month, then they came back but then the service slowed. The last 4 weeks, we would order our cold cuts thru the store kiosks and it would take over an hour and a half for them to be ready…. We tried orderin online an hour before we went to the store and the coldcuts weren’t there - asked about them and there was no record of it in the store even tho we ordered correctly and had to order manuallyToday, we ordered in store, and when we went to pick it up, there was a huge crowd in front of the deli of people who were waiting over two hours for their stuff. I don’t know what happened, but we’re probably not going back as it’s getting worse every week.

Love the sales but hate the digital coupon process. I always wind up having to go to customer service to get receipt adjusted. Had nice customer service rep straighten online account out. Hopefully now everything is how it should be and things will go smoother. Lately things have been out or not stocked fast enough. Probably due to storms and people making a mad dash to the store.
