We have been going to Dr. Boulas for over 20 years when he first opened in South River. All our pets have been under his care and have lived to be 17 and 18 years old. We have our four newest dogs as his patients and we are totally confident in his professional expertise.Andrea, the receptionist, is fantastic too! She's so kind and caring.It's like family going there and we wouldn't go anywhere else ever!Thank you Dr. Boulas and Andrea for all you do for our precious pets! ♥️🐾

Got an appointment fairly quickly, but you have to wait in the car, not sure why. It was okay. The doctor was thorough but I didn't get a warm feeling from him towards my dog.

We were referred to the practice by a co-worker. Dr. Boulos is straightforward and won't try to sell you something that you don't need. His receptionist is friendly and accommodating. The prices are reasonable. Just be prepared to wait in your car on a hot or cold day. Will definitely use them in the future.

My boyfriend has been going to Dr. B with his animals for about 29 years and today I could see why! We had an emergency happen to our little Coco when she was attacked by our neighbors dog. Her ear was mangled, her chest had a deep puncture wound end she also had a nip on her nose. I was terrified by all the blood and suffering my girl was going through. I’m not from around here and really didn’t know where to turn for her care. Thank god for South River Vet Clinic and their wonderful staff. Obviously we didn’t see this coming, so we didn’t have an appointment. We had to wait until their scheduled appointments were done but it was well worth it! (Let me add that if I didn’t feel that Coco could wait, I would have taken her for emergency care immediately, but I had her ear compressed the entire time and she was curled up on my lap- not in distress but I digress ) Coco ended up needing surgery on her ear to remove cartilage and was administered multiple antibiotics to prevent infection. I know they close at 9, but Dr. B and Andreia didn’t make us feel like we were a burden to them when they took her into surgery at 9:30 and probably didn’t make it to their homes until 11. Dr. B treated her with the utmost care and Andreia provided me with wonderful and detailed aftercare instruction.From the bottom of bill and my heart, we thank you so very much. Coco may be a little mad about the cone of shame, but she’ll live and that’s what matters. We still have a lot to do to make sure that her recovery is a successful one, but I just know that she’ll be our happy and loving girl as soon as she recovers. Thank you for everything you did for her and for us ❤️

This place really makes you feel at ease. Brought my dog there for the first time and the staff is amazing and the vets are loving and extremely knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

The wait times and office hours were understandable considering the COVID-19 situation. The staff was fine and easy to understand. They gave us clear instructions, informed us of what was going on with our cat, and answered questions for us.Thank you for taking care of Nabi until he passed.

My kitten Larry was neutered here, Dr.Boulos was very good, Larry’s wound was minimal and he recovered quickly. Larry had not appetite to eat for two days after coming home due to anesthesia, we were worried so we emailed Dr.Boulos. Dr.Boulos was very quick to respond to emails even though it was out of his office hours, he was very professional in his approach. He explained to us very patiently and put our minds at ease. Highly recommend this place!

I have had dogs for over 20 years now and after dealing with various vets and hospitals I am glad I have found Dr. B and Ms. Andrea in the South River Vet(SRV)! They are amazing! My puppy was fighting a few parasites for over 5 months with various medication rounds and no relief to her symptoms (we saw 3-4 different vets all over NJ). I finally was recommended SRV and even after moving I still take the 45 minute drive to ensure all my pups are well taken cared for! After all, it's the least we could do for our little furry friends!

The doc was great with my pup. He diagnosed some issues and was quick with answers and treatments. My dog has surgery scheduled with him at an affordable cost and I have no doubt he will do a great job. Thank you so much for being a great vet.

They were amazing. We had an emergency with our puppy and after calling several dog hospitals and being turned away. We tried South River Veterinary and surprisingly they were able to squeeze us in right away. Not only that but they were much more affordable than our previous vet. The employees were amazing and very informative. Needless to say we found our new vet and are very happy with the care provided. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good vet.

Dr. B and staff are always so caring and gentle with my dog. I was referred to SR vet clinic by one of my friends who has been going to Dr. B for 10+ years and has nothing but great things to say about this vet and I am sure glad I brought my dog here instead of the other vets I was researching. My dog is very anxious and Dr. B is always patient with him. Most vets are always in a rush so knowing Dr. B takes his time is very reassuring when he is inside being examined. Andrea and Mariana are so sweet!!! They make the visit less stressful when helping me. Thank you SR vet clinic.

My family and I have gone to South River Veterinary Clinic for years! We love Dr. Boulos and his staff. They are great and have always taken care of my 5 dogs with compassion and diligence. I would not trust any other vet with my fur babies. 5 stars always! I love that they're open Monday through Friday 5pm-9pm and Saturday mornings. This makes it very convenient for working owners to take their pet to the vet. I highly recommend to all my pet care service clients, friends, family and all loving pet owners who only want the very best for their pets!

I recently had a horrific experience with my original vet and decided to bring my cat to south river. They took great care of my cat and took the time to look over my her, unlike my original vet. My cat was balding and scratching herself to the point she was bleeding. I am so grateful for the staff at South River for making my baby better again. I also have to say Andreia is very sweet, professional, and communicated with me through out the visit since I was unable to come into the building due to COVID guidelines. Definitely recommend to bring your pet to south river. Wonderful experience !!!

Wonderful doctor. Kind and thorough and reasonable. He is very hardworking and does not turn anyone away. Well equipped office too with X-rays and other facilities. This doctor is an asset to the community.The office timings are perfect for people who work late and with Saturdays too. We are lucky we found Dr. Boulos to care for our kitty that just stopped eating and was losing weight.

Brought in my 10 week old puppy to see Dr B because she had not been feeling well for a few days so I made an appointment (thank you to the awesome receptionist who was able to put me in the evening I called!!!) Dr B is GREAT!!! He really cares about the animals that come in and takes his time, asks questions, & just overall went over everything and was fantastic. 20/10 recommend him for your pets. You won't regret it! & prices aren't bad at all compared to other vets to drain you for simple things like getting an anitibiotic !!! & when I came in and met the receptionist who I spoke to on the phone, she was very nice and funny I might add and made us feel right at home! Thank you so much SR vet clinic!!! You guys are amazing!

He is also reasonable with his fees and tries his best to be more conservative when possible. Andrea is very helpful and friendly and helps make our visit enjoyable. My wife has been going to Dr. Boulos since she was a little girl with her family animals. It has been over 25 years. They always find a way to squeeze us in on such short notice. He always treats our pets like his own. He definitely knows what he is doing. He also is there for us when we have to put our dogs down! He always asks how my mother in law is doing. He still remembers her from many years ago when she would go for my wife's pets growing up! We would never go anywhere else! Best vet ever!!
