Found my fav pet store!! Duke my golden absolutely approved it also. They have very high grade dog food and treats (no additives) and really really good quality pet toys (for both cats and dogs). Owners are very kind have fresh water for the dogs and took time to recommend. Hidden gem in the south orange & millburn , Nj area

This place was quite possibly the greatest store I’ve ever been in. I gave one star because of the stunning customer service received from Avani Mitra (give her a raise for the energy and presence she brought to the restaurant), one star for the beautiful aroma permeating the entire store, one star for the amount of goods and variety, one star for the reaction my dog had from finding out he was adopted through a treat we bought, and one star because I feel like Oprah!

Very happy cat! They offer a great natural selection of pet food and treats. They also offer collars, leashes as well as catnip and treats for dogs! The owners are engaging as well as friendly and are pet owners as well. The location is quite lovely and there is a bowl of water at the door for any thirsty visiting pet. I can say that they also deliver and they make that known. During a very difficult time for my family I ordered cat food and they delivered within the half-hour. They could not have known how much of a help it was to us but it made all the difference. I will make sure that I patronize this small business when it comes to my cat's needs as I feel at home when I enter. In addition, my cat, Cinnamon is a happy girl.

Everyone was so nice and helpful! My dog was thrilled to get so much attention and lots of treats from the staff. The selection of toys, bones, and treats was extensive and everything was priced very reasonably. We will definitely be back!

First of all their customer service is terry. They treated me with extreme amount of disrespect I am a young teenager but that does not mean that i should have received that amount of disrespect especially when I never said anything disrespectful to them. I had realized that i had been laughing around in their store with another person which they had not liked so I went back and apologized for my level of immaturity which they responded with an “ok” and which seemed like they did not care and not accept my apology. Later I went to the store to look around and they said I cannot come back because they alleged that I had pealed of a sticker on their window. When I told them it wasn't me they said they had footage which. Even though I did not do it I apologized anyways. This wasn’t acceptable to them so then I asked for to see the footage and they denied and started cursing me out for something I didn’t even do. I felt extremely upset because I truly meant no harm i am simply a teenager with not much money and i love animals and i like to go into stores to just look but they did not care all they wanted to do was tell me to get out. I believe that was unacceptable behavior for two GROWN white men treating a teen Hispanic girl like a street rat. I do not recommend this pet store they are terrible people who make me feel extremely less then.

The owners are great people, the food delivery service is such a game changer (always extremely timely and free for local delivery!), and the quality of the product is top tier. Only the best for our fur babies!

Everyone at the store is really helpful and friendly but when I can't make it they offer free same day delivery within a 10 mile radius.My cat's coat is very soft and looks healthy. The price is competitive with most of the fancier dry foods and it's nice to know it's fresher.

as a former employee of pet wants soma, i can’t even begin to express how wonderful this establishment is! while working there, i was able to learn so much about pet nutrition & health that i am now able to apply to my career. aside from the great products that jack and jonathan have filled their store with, i loved working here because i truly felt like i was a part of their family. they both taught me so much about how a positive work environment can have such a profound impact on their employees. if you’re in the soma area and you haven’t shopped at pet wants…you’re missing out! do yourself a favor and stop in, you won’t be disappointed

I stopped into Pet Wants with my kids a few days before getting our dog. The staff gave us helpful advice and recommendations for things for the dog. After the dog came home, we brought her in to be fitted for a harness. They showed her and I so much love. Most importantly, they treated this first time dog owner with kindness. #SOMALOVE

Best pet store I've ever been to and now it's the only one I go to. I've sat down and talked to the owners many times, both are great people and have given me plenty of advice about raising a kitten. One of the employees has even taken care of my kitten while I was out of town. Everything in the store is high quality and my kitten loves the fresh food they make. The first time I went in, they gave me a free pound of kitten food. I didn't have to buy anything else, I just explained I had a new kitten and didn't know what type of food he needs and one of the owners said I could have the food for free for him to try out (this fed my kitten for weeks). Now I go there for everything I need. Pet Wants really cares about their customers.

Thank you so much fellas, our Camo is the pickiest eater ever (seriously tho) and she demolished the first bag of beef jerky. She just turned 19, and so giving her the best we can in the time we have left with her is ever more important to us. Thank you for great products and for being amazing local businessmen.

Love this shop in downtown South Orange! Lots of great healthy nibbles, treats, toys and more for your furry friends with friendly service and recos. My dog loves their salmon and brown rice kibble.

Amazing my dog loved it . You could find toys treats . And you can get photos of any animal. I got a harness. They don't do any type of cleanings . Ex fleas worms tick. My puppy made some new friends. Great gathering spot. For humans and dogs!
