It took us a lot of trial and error groomers to find the right groomer for our Astro! We came across NJ Dog Barbers by driving by and we do not regret it! They always do an amazing job. First thing I noticed And loved was love how clean and sterile the inside is, they use great products (always smells good) and most importantly treat our baby with love. Astro is not afraid of going to the groomers anymore so we know they are treating him well. Thank you !!

Angels walking on this earth!! A few friends and customers suggest I try them to trim my dog, Dodger’s nails. A rescue with extreme bendy talent, able to levitate off the table with ease, escaping muzzles - he had been dosed, dosed higher and his sheer will to maintain his crazy breaks through the medication. My dog was a vet nail trim failure. The last course of action was for him to be sedated in office. We pulled over leaving the vet’s deflated. How was a groomer going to be able to get this done when a vets office and medication couldn’t?THEY DID!I explained the situation, they said OK. I explained I was in the car now, could they please now - they said yes. We went. Every single human there was happy and accommodating. Even the dogs on the tables were happy. They took him in, assured us that he was just scared and not aggressive. I silently prayed and hid my eyes - we heard them working like magicians. We heard Dodger vocalizing like only he can (the other dogs looked on like this was a commercial in the middle of their regularly scheduled hair cuts ) and I heard, “snip, snip, snip, snip”!We will be back. Dodger found his place. These people are magicians. Talented, angels on earth, magicians ! So grateful. So thankful!

Everyone here treats all dogs like they are celebrities. When I tell Tito we’re going to go see John at the Dog Barber, he runs around with joy. That’s how you know you found the best of the best. I would recommend this business to anybody who is looking for a groomer that you can trust and you know they are going to take care of your baby.

My dogs , Zeus (German Shepherd) & Jade (Beagle) are given excellent care and smell great every time they get home. Kendall is very trustworthy and takes great care of them both. All of the staff are great.

Love this place and so does our pomeranian. They do a great job with him. Had him at poochy doo in town and he would be so scared to go inside he would pee on us as we had to hold him to bring him in. Not at this place. He goes right in and they love him there. He always comes out with a cute tie on. I will definitely not go anywhere else.

Love how the place is designed. Everyone is professional and friendly. They really know what they are doing. They are fast and they call you right away so your pup doesn't stay locked up in a cage all day.

Been going to John for years since my first dog who was a Maltese and now take my two new Irish doodle babies. Every single person there is so friendly and welcoming. It is so nicely designed and clean in there. They all treat each dog like they are their own. My dogs love John so much they run with him and don’t look back and even kissed his face goodbye. I feel so comfortable and trust leaving my babies with him. We also could stand there and talk to him and his staff for hours. He transformed them for their first appt and they look so good each time after and leave with adorable accessories too. My doodles literally look like velvet and shiny and so soft. They both have different hair types and he handles both amazing. Love that they also offer express grooming! They are quick regardless and treat your babies with love and care! Highly highly recommend John and staff to anyone and everyone!!

We had a great first groom at NJ Dog Barbers. Everyone was super friendly and professional. They made our dog feel very comfortable and did an excellent job with his cut. They were even done much quicker than expected. Love the vibe of the shop- it feels like you’re visiting the local salon. All the dogs are happy and clam and well taken care of!

Took our little golden girl for her first grooming. Was a little nervous but the employees were super friendly. Under $70 for a full bath, nail clipping and paw trim. They even added a cute bow and bandana. My ONLY critique would be that the shampoo/scent they use is a little on the masculine/cologne-y side but she feels so smooth and clean. We can’t wait to go back! Very good business.

My dog Onyx always looks and smells so fresh and so clean clean when Lily finishes with her. My dog can be kind of anxious sometimes when going to the groomer, but I always feel comfortable dropping her off here. I know she’s in good caring hands. Highly recommend!

Service is top notch from the moment you walk through the door! We currently have 3 dogs that we take here. 2 of them get baths and de-sheds a few times a year and one is an all out groom complete with the most precise haircut every 6 weeks! Our dogs can be a little nervous but the the more we go there they better they are. I will also bring them in between grooms for just a nail trim and it's easy peasy! My dogs are my world and I would trust no other than NJ Dog Barbers. Thank you to John & Ken for your patience, knowledge and treating my crew like your own.

Ken and John truly know how to fill a place with love, laughter, and kindness. Our puppy Zola has been with them her whole life and there truly isn’t anywhere better than this lovely place! We never have to worry about her safety or how she’s being treated because we know she’s in great hands. She’s never had a bad cut and looks absolutely adorable every single time. John is amazing! My baby Nelly is hyper and gets excited around other dogs. He was able to service Nelly (pit/lab mix) at a time it wasn’t busy + Nellys close friend Lady (chihuahua mix) to come and get their nails trimmed. The only reason anyone would tell you not to go here would have to be because they don't want to share this place with you. I have a small furry sheltie who must be groomed professionally. When I got there for the 1st time the energy was exciting. Almost every other groomer I took my dog to were pretty bland, the staff cut and dry and the cost of the work was below the quality of work. With NJ Dog Barbers, you have the value + quality, with the bonus of fun atmosphere! And if it couldn't get any better, they are open on SUNDAYS! I really wish I found them sooner!!
