Hidden away on Main Street in Somerset, NJ backing to the D&R Canal is this little gem of a deli. I went in on a Friday during lunch hour. They have a great selection of sandwiches (both hot/cold), friendly/quick service, clean area, and everything is reasonably priced. There is seating inside and outside in the front of deli. I went with the turkey club (Boars Head).

Wow, came here on my bike ride as this is a popular route. I read the reviews as being such a great place so had to give it a try. I ordered everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, came with capers, red onion and tomato. My goodness, best lox bagel I probably ever had ! It was a little pricey but I have not gotten lox for years so these days that's probably pricey everywhere. However there was plenty of it on the bagel so you definitely get a nice portion! This was so good I'm definitely coming back, even though this is good 2 hours away from my house on a bike. Really good, tasty food.

While working on a funeral up the street at St. Joseph's, the three of us went here via a glowing recommendation of one of the family members. We pulled up and when we entered, we immediately met a few gentlemen who are regulars there and made conversation with us, making us feel very welcome.I had a pumpernickle bagle with egg whites and swiss and my friends had their own selections.The food was phenomenal, just as good, if not better than the deli's and cafes we eat at on a regular basis. The owners were friendly and talkative and were interested in the funeral business. It was a pleasure to stop in, and we will stop by here to eat whenever in the area. Due to my location being in Montgomery Township, I was happy to find out that they do have DoorDash. I will be DoorDashing Saturday!! Keep up the great work,

Was working in the area and stopped here for lunch two days in a row. First day I got a breakfast sandwich on a bagel, second day I got a cold sub. Both items were delicious, fresh, and modest in price. The staff is nice and they have a decent selection of drinks and snacks. Will definitely come back when I am in the area again.

My first visit but will not be my last. Our sandwiches were delicious. My husband wanted an egg bagel with extra cream cheese and you were not skimpy on the cheese. Loved it! Very clean and friendly atmosphere. If you could get the Tropicana Orange Strawberry Banana carton drink, that would set off our breakfast.Until next Sunday!!!

Really nice local hidden gem! I find the grilled chicken sandwich just delicious and fresh, packed with marinated chicken, tomato and onion without other greasy or high calorie add-on. The bagels are fresh and so generously prepared with A LOT of ingredients. I have never got that many garlics and poppy seeds in a well made bagel ever.Owner is very attentive and friendly. I was late for pickup after the scheduled time and they reach out proactively to make sure food is not forgotten.I would recommend this deli to everyone!

Love this little local business! The sandwiches are huge & delicious. The bagels are 😋😋& prices are comparable to other small shops in the area.AK has done a great job with the menu & getting the word out on social media.Worth the trip into East Millstone, especially after a hike on the D&R.

Stayed in a hotel nearby that didn’t offer breakfast, so this was a welcomed find along our bike route. Delicious breakfast sandwiches that fueled us for our morning ride. I definitely recommend stopping for fresh bagels!

Hidden Gem ! I Live in the area and always passed here, but never stopped to try it until now. Lots to choose from , prices are great, sandwiches are fresh & tasty with generous portions. Reminds me of the stores at every corner growing up in the city. Not many places around the area like this that offer this price / quality choice ratio. The family behind the counter are very friendly which is always an added bonus

I live 2 minutes from Sunshine Creek Deli and I can't believe today was my first time there! Husband and I were hungry but in a rush so we ran in to order some sandwiches. They have an extensive menu - something for everyone! My Reuben was hot, fresh and delicious. The shop is super clean and organized. And the owners are super sweet and accommodating. We'll definitely be back!

If you are looking for the perfect bagel, your search is over. They have a slightly crisp texture on the outside and are cooked perfectly soft on the inside. Seriously, these bagels are really delicious. A trip to Sunrise Creek Bagels & Deli is an absolute must if you are a bagel connoisseur.

Very friendly service every time we visit. I purchased a sandwich for the first time today and it is delicious. Fresh bread and a good quality sub roll, Boar’s Head meat, delicious vegetables and the perfect amount of condiments on the sub sandwich. I will be back and highly recommend them.

This place does a bit of everything! Both hot and cold sandwiches on offer, including breakfast sandwiches, as well as a full grill. You can just as easily get an italian sub, chicken fingers with fries, or a burrito. Large selection of drinks and snacks, as well as some paper goods and grocery items. Very convenient, good food prepared fresh, and fair prices. The owners and staff are lovely!

The staff is very friendly, they have a huge menu, fair prices and their portions are more than generous. Their pork roll, egg and cheese is one of the best I've had. Also, great coffees and deli sandwiches. Cash discount is nice bonus as well.

One of the hidden gems in Somerset County, this family-owned convenience store and deli lies in historic Millstone right next to the canal. My dad introduced me to this fine establishment years ago on the way to a job and ever since this has been my go-to for porkroll, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches are some of the best I've ever had and service is always tremendously quick. You know this place is good because all of the landscapers, contractors, and township workers get their breakfast here.If you haven't been, you need to go!

Really good food and the owners (new as of about a year ago, I think) have been there every time I’ve stopped in and are very nice people. I like to get something from here and have a picnic at Colonial Park which is only a few minutes away or I eat just a little ways down the canal at one of the picnic areas and go for a walk. There is also a small counter inside the deli to eat at and some tables outside when the weather is warm.

I love this store! I grew up in Millstone when Mr. Lazicky owned the store, and I just returned to the area. The new owners make a great sandwich, and they stock the store with eclectic and delicious international treats. I miss Putson, but the current owners are doing a great job!
